There was a time when the Seal Beach Launder Pet store was a very good local business. They provided everything you might need for your pet, customer service always appeared to be a key attribute and as loyal customers, we consistently felt appreciated and respected. Not any more - and we have been constant loyal customers for 8 years. We called to make sure they were open, and indeed... as usual at this time and on this day... they were. We then walked our pet down to the store (a long way) only to find a sign on the door which read, "Be Back Soon". It was 2:45 pm - maybe a bathroom break - completely understandable. So we waited 5 minutes and a person came to the door and unlocked it, which gave us the impression we were going to be able to venture inside. But no. The individual came out, locked the door behind them and stated they were going to lunch. And that was that. No indication as to how long this would be and no care for the point we relayed about walking a long way (after calling) to get there.Everything has changed. The pet food, toys, accessories... mostly gone. And seemingly the customer service and appreciation for loyal customers has gone too. And now, so have we. Yes... breaks are understandable if you have limited coverage, but if you're supposed to be open, at least communicate how long you will be gone and certainly respect your customers.... or you they will go elsewhere.

My cat Spunky has had an awful time at the groomers, but they did a great job we mainly got off the hair and left some on her legs, tail and mane. Where she normally gets scalped we left longer and the cat loves the cut. Been purring since we left. We’ll definitely be back, she’s so happy.

I have been going here for about 5 years and never a problem. They have been very good to my dogs who are both very timid. They show no signs of anxiety when we arrive. Great grooming. This is about 10 miles out of my way but I continue to be a regular client. My dogs get groomed no where else!!

Went into the store for the first time today, asked about which brush would be best for my shedding dog. I have used a few. The nice young lady at the front gave me a GREAT recommendation to go with the KONG rubber brush which worked fantastically and was only $10!!! On top of that they had time to trim my dogs nails on the spot and it took less then 5 min.Overall came home a happy pet owner and plan to come back for future nail trimming!

Very friendly staff with unique pet treats and toys for dogs and cats. Great prices and knowledgeable. Our dog even got a "sample" (she asked first, of course). Great spot for dog treats! 🙂

The staff there is awesome! They take great care of the animals, they will not do a service that does not need to be done. They are really understanding of people's schedules and...... free treats for the puppies.
