Worse pharmacy ever. Corporate should shut Walgreens Scott's Valley down. My medication was supposed to be processed, doctor had approved prescription and sent it in. Pharmacist by the name of Clair was incredibly rude to me and insisted on a faxed treatment plan before she would fill the prescription. This was on a Friday when my doctor had gone home. So a triage doctor called Walgreens and told the pharmacist the medication was approved. Again pharmacy would not fill. I asked her to fill because I was out of the med and I would have my PCP fax anything to her Monday. Again a rude denial. She also pretended to take a break and ignored my questions, and went to chit chat with a drive up customer about non pharmacy related small talk. I too will be moving my scrips to another pharmacy as soon as possible.

Drive up window closes at 1:30-2:00. Arrive at 1:22. Closed. No worries. I’ll come back a little before 2:00 arrive 1:55. Window doesn’t open until 2:15. Then pharmacist disappears for ~ 5~7 minutes. Comes back and still takes another 5-7 minutes…Really. 1st in line and I waste 2 trips 2nd trip still takes 30 minutes to get a prescription that’s ready?? Waste of time. Now 8 cars in line. I’m feel sorry for them. No more. Mail order From now on. And not from Walgreens now 1/3 price delivered. Same medication. Crazy.

I am so grateful that this store is in walking distance from my condo.The staff is helpful, friendly and accepting in working with seniors. I know Walgreens gets a bad rap as a corporation, but the people here locally are working hard to provide personal service with good humor and understanding.

Things can't get any worse at the pharmacy!!! Corporate should consider closing it until they can provide enough properly trained employees. If you have to wait a week to get an important medication, you shouldn't trust anything about that transaction, including the medication!!!!! I have gone to 100% mail order and it's amazing - very well organized and never late with delivery. If you don't have a mail order option my suggestion would be Rite Aid in Felton. They are very competent and pleasant - well worth the short drive.

Something happened recently where they’ve reduced their hours to 9am-6pm every day. There also seems to be a huge lack in staffing and this has created huge lines and wait times. Two months ago it took them an hour to fill a prescription and today it is taking them over 3 hours. They either need to staff up or close this pharmacy down.Update 2 weeks later:Things have gotten progressively worse. Drive through line is stacked 7 cars deep each taking 10-15 minutes. Indoor line goes to the end of the aisle and customer turnaround is about 10-15 minutes. With the reduced hours this pharmacy can’t be giving out more than 100 people their prescriptions per day. Anyone who is using this pharmacy should file a corporate complaint so they either staff it up or shutter it.

WOW- Waited 20 minutes in line at pharmacy two days in a row only to be told they would not serve me and I went without my eye medication the second day that allows me to see. Waited on hold more than half an hour only to be hung up on (happened twice). They cut hours without any advance notice and created a problem where the staff is totally overwhelmed and cannot service their customers. Horrible corporate decisions made by uncaring company. The staff is miserable and I’m sure they will leave their jobs when given a chance. They have just given the finger to Scott’s Valley and all their long time loyal customers.

All the wonderful pharmacists and techs quit in Scotts Valley. For years I watched them work their tails off diligently and always courteously. They always appeared to work nonstop. Well I guess with all the added responsibilities during the pandemic without adequate staffing I guess they quit. Big surprise there. Sorry to see them no more!!!! Learn how to treat your employees Walgreen's.

Absolutely the worst customer service. I have called repeatedly for information about the COVID-19 tests that were ordered. They keep saying their computer is down. But then when I have someone else call from their phone about their prescription, everything is just fine. They will lie and say the computer is down just to avoid being on the phone serving customers.

Completely perplexed and saddened how understaffed this place must be. To get one prescription refilled I had to sit on hold 29 mins to explain I just wanted 30 days not 60 because my insurance only approves 1 month at a time which I deal with each month, why do I have to explain each month. Then getting the prescription took another 40 minutes waiting in line, I dread each month coming to this place. Why are we held to using these places that don't seem to careabout us and/or our time. Walgreens you should be ashamed.......

I've been discriminated against 3 times now at this pharmacy. There is a little petite older lady pharmacist of Asian descent (I don't know her name)- who has withheld 1 of my medications (narcan, in case of emergencies. Required by law due to my 2nd prescription) for a whole month. My doctor actually had to contact her and basically ask her what the heck she was doing. It's a life saving medication. She also has delayed my medication release by several hours, she has refused to scan my medication into the actual system itself, so it says they are out of stock, when in reality, its sitting right there. Another employee actually looked, and realized this, and was extremely frustrated with her and filled it really quickly for me. This time, my Dr called in my prescription 2 WEEKS ago, and this woman has not ordered my medication yet! I'm in recovery, and the medication is buprenorphine/naloxone. It is a life saving medication and she's discriminating against me due to me being in recovery. I am the most normal looking, kind person and have been in recovery for 13 years, I just switched to this pharmacy 3 months ago instead of going where I was before. Every single time, there have been huge issues. I know its because she doesnt believe its ok for people to take this certain medication. But it is NOT up to her, her ethical beliefs have to be separated from the actual law. I will be reporting her, as soon as i find out her name. If you're in recovery and get a prescription for this medication, please go elsewhere. I will be taking my business to the water street location. -A.B.

Each month I have to make 3-4 calls regarding 1 script. Now I can't reach them on the phone at all. I have to drive all the way to the pharmacy to get status or ask any questions. They are stressed, understaffed. Lines wrap all the way down to the end of store aisle! What happened? I drove 25 minutes to ask a question on Sunday and it was closed. Just closed! "unexplained reason" What do we do? Where do we lodge a complaint?

The quality of service at this store has declined exponentially. On my last visit (I do mean LAST) a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician and the store manager took over 15 minutes to unsuccessfully find my Rx. They were forced to just fill it in the end. These kind of events have become a regular occurrence. Time to move on.

I have been using this pharmacy for years, but not anymore! I'm leaving. I got a call Sunday morning that my pills were FINALLY ready for pickup. When I got there, the driveup window was closed!!! This is inexcusable and puts people at risk if they can't get their meds. The pharmacy should NEVER be closed as this could cause an emergency. Terrible! The workers are RUDE and put the blame for their mistakes on you!!!

The pharmacists are very friendly and helpful. However, I just waited half an hour for the prescription they said would take 5 minutes. In the end, I decided to go to a different pharmacy because the wait was ridiculous. I watched the six or seven people behind me get served and leave in the time I waited.The pharmacy is often slow or behind schedule; this isn't my only poor experience here, just the last one. I would not recommend this location.

We got our prescription after 2 visits, in the drive through. Only benefit was sitting while waiting. The empty window tells the story. A lot of waiting, both times. Not at least they were open, like the Los Gatos Walgreens that advertises being a 24 hr pharmacy, but isn't.

Covid has been under control for awhile now but this Scotts Valley location still has one worker for an inside line of 15 people and a drive through line of at least 4 to 5 cars. It gets so frustrating w having to wait 45 minutes in line every time I need to get my medicine. I hope they can get more workers soon or I’ll probably switch to another pharmacy.

Brought three kids with me to get flu shot, made an appointment, waited 20 minutes in line to be told to wait in another line (no signs), person in other line very rude, never looked me in the eye, extremely dismissive. Then was told despite my appointment it would be another 15 minutes (for a total of 45 minutes after my appointment and with no one else getting a flu shot). Terrible experience.

Worst experience ever with the pharmacy and how that automated system asks you to describe what you want from the pharmacy. If you are going to use a system to get a pharmacist online to discuss your prescription and then you are put on hold only to have the staff pick up and put you right back on hold for more than 50 minutes on and off the intire time I waited for the chance to speak with someone, this never happened and they closed at 6pm and I was still on hold until I got the automated person who wanted me to take a survey of my experience on my call. Unfortunately I am not happy about this situation and it is not the end of my experience today. Walgreens Scotts Valley wants the locals to stay local to keep the money in our community however they aren't helping us to stay local if they don't want to answer calls from their customers.

The pharmacy has degraded steadily over the years. Frequent change of personnel seem to be under staff at peak hours. Closes early on Saturday and Sunday, 6 p.m..Their system will send you a text saying the prescription is ready when it's not.Since they don't answer the phone you drive down there waiting line and lo and behold it's not ready for pick up yet.They seem unable to deal with regular insurance and refuse to process GoodRx discount program.Kind of sad used to be a good place...

Wow. Service is getting really bad. Was in the drive-up line, they were serving the same client for 30+ minutes. I had no idea it would take that long, I thought the drive-up was for pickup?? I didn’t want to go inside for fear the line would be as long. They do not have enough staff to support their clients. Will be looking at alternatives. Mail order is sounding like a great alternative.

I have been using Walgreens as my pharmacy for over 30 years. I’ve used locations all over the US and have had no problems. I recently moved to the Scotts Valley area and began trying to use the local Walgreens. It has been a complete disaster. They have gotten my prescriptions wrong, they have been unable to properly bill my insurance company and more. On top of general incompetence, they are very rude. Today they bungled a refill despite an approved refill in the Walgreens system. They tried to blame me. Oh, and the waits are very long.

Waited on hold for 36 minutes. This was enough time to drive over from San Jose on my way home, walk into the store and get in line. They acknowledge that I had been on hold but never resolved the issue nor apologized in any manner. They then proceeded to 'figure' out whatever issue was going on after another 30 minutes - all the while making other people wait behind me. Very poor training and complete disregard for people's time and utter lack of concern on their part. Save yourselve the headache and take your business elsewhere

Iv never posted a review before mainly because I’m just not the type to post and I don’t like to leave bad reviews. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and assume their just having an off day if I have a bad encounter. However this time I felt the need to say something. Iv lived in Santa Cruz mountains my entire life, I moved away for college and came back home due to COVID. So it’s safe to say that I know how wonderful Walgreens in SV normally is (which is why I gave 3 stars). However tonight I encountered an extremely rude employee. I don’t want to name, names because I don’t want to get anyone fired but to put this nicely, Walgreens if your reading this you need to retrain your employees on how to talk to customers. I understand ordering online and picking up in store is a new program and maybe due to COVID people’s lives are extra stressful however that does not give an employee the right to be not only condescending but also talk down to me and tell me I wasn’t paying attention when I placed the order and to pay attention next time. I don’t know where this person got their education but that is never a correct way to speak to someone. Part of the reason why I’m leaving a review is because I’v done pick up orders before I know how they work, Iv done pick up orders with other Walgreens locations however when I was trying to stand up for my self with the employee, this employee had an arrogant attitude with absolutely no shame. Normally if someone is having a bad day, they are usually grumpy and arrogant or rude and will sarcastically apologize for the situation. But this employee acted like there was not a care in the world and he/she was right no matter what. Nor did this employee ever feel the need to apologize for her/his behavior or the situation. So please Walgreens send your employees to zoom classes on how to properly handle situations or (what I needed from this employee) simply talk adequately.

Great experience with the pharmacy always... I deal with them for work on a frequent basis.The store is a good quick stop to get most things you may need although I still prefer CVS, as they have more choices.My only real issue with this store is that I have never seen more than one cashier working at a time even when busy.

I never leave reviews and I really don't have the time for this but........Pharmacist STOLE 30 pills of 30mg Adderall from my husband. Tried to get the police involved, but there is nothing they can do, so filed with DEA. My husband has been on his prescription for over 10 years. We are new to the area and have only filled with this location 2 times, but neither time did they ask for ID when either dropping or picking up. So anyone could have found the paper prescription we are required to use (instead of electronic) and they would have just given ADDERALL to them without any ID check, at any point. Controlled substances aside, this pharmacy seems dangerous in their lack of care. The cashier was very sweet and that is appreciated, however, I want to know that I can trust the source for medication I am ingesting into my body. SCARY experience as other Walgreens we have filled with before have been amazing...Scott's Valley needs some more reliable options for our health. We are very disturbed by this.

This is a review for the pharmacy, not the store. Every time I go to this pharmacy, it absolutely reeks of weed. No other place in the store smells like that, just the pharmacy. Every tech that has helped me has red-rimmed eyes and acts very sedated. The techs and the pharmacists are always yelling at one another and there are so many employees back there that they can't keep track of who has done what prescription. There's always a massive search that has to be done because prescriptions are never filed in the right spots.I'm all for people smoking whatever the hell they want to smoke on their own time and on their own property. But ask yourself this: Are you okay with a pharmacist or pharmacy tech handling your medicine while being very obviously high? I'm not.

Ever since they moved to King's Village Shopping Center, this has been my go-to drugstore. Convenient location and a great pharmacy. While you can beat some prices on Amazon, the place is convenient, being close to a lot of other goto businesses. Also, they have widespread specials and a rewards card program where product prices come down to very reasonable. The less convenient CVS across the street seems to generally have higher prices on the floor than Walgreen's. This Walgreen's is a large store. Note that they also have an easily accessible electric car charging station in the parking lot.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Do yourself a favor and get your prescriptions from the CVS instead.
