what a great place. But I think they need to find a new hatchery to get their chicks from. I selected 11 chicks in the spring. Very carefully trying to choose pairs. One of the chicks was not true to the breed that I thought I paid for. And now three of the 11 chicks have turned into roosters. I felt fortunate when I had one rooster. but now I’m feeling disappointed times four.

Really great selection for everything you need for your horse. Nice quality items and very friendly and helpful staff. ALSO in the spring, they have a very wide variety AND I DO MEAN VARIETY of nice quality BABY CHICKS!!! We found unique breeds that you can't find anywhere else to view and purchase on sight.

I live in Felton now was lookong for a certain brand of cat food and I didn't wanna drive all the way to the city. Before going I called them to make sure they have what I'm looking for and when I called they answered right away and told me they have what I need.The store is somewhat small and isles are very narrow, but they carry many different items found at bigger stores.Customer service was also excellent.Definitely recommend this pet store.

Great selection if they don't carry something they can sometimes try and order for you. Customer service is outstanding from crew although cashier has a tendency to be abrupt and a bit dismissive if she doesn't know you or recognize you one those places where they great regulars by name

Provides what other stores can't, Oyster shell calcium has been almost impossible to get and if gotten, only sold at super high prices, like $10 for a 1 lb bag. They have located a supplier. Bags of oyster shell they received are being sold out immediately. I am excited to be looking forward to getting some for my chickens! Also, best place for chicks. They also have Modesto Milling Chicken Feeds, which allows soy-free Also, they have chick starter available. . Bulk Prices are listed on the chalkboard to the left wall of the cash register areas,

This is a great place with experienced staff. They helped me find a low calorie, nutritious food for my cats, and suggested a different kind of litter. They have standard products, but also brands you won't find at big box stores, all reasonably priced. And they are locally owned! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Vip was a organization that traveled to feed stores to vaccinate animals and help them. My dog came here since she was a wee puppy. Now they don't come here anymore. I could afford to keep up on keeping my 8 year old dog now up on all her shots and stuff. (PLEASE BRING THEM BACK) Other than that, they have great treats and food for animals. Nice staff.

Has a large section of dog stuff and a decent amount of cat stuff. Fortunately they stock our preferred kibble! I don't know enough about farm stock to be able to judge their chicks, feed, hay, etc.

I drive from downtown Santa Cruz to get my kitty supplies here. It's a really wonderful place, and I love that they carry food brands that most big chains (like PetSmart) don't. The staff is also always SO nice and helpful.

We have enjoyed shopping here for years. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. They are even willing to answer questions. We have gone shopping for items for goats, rabbits, chickens and our dog here.We even were lucky enough to get a new born bantam chick that turned out to be a Jr. Reserve Champion White Crested Black Polish Rooster. Yet, chicks are not usually show quality, but they are good layers and the store has a variety to choose from. We have been shopping there for over 12 years and will continue to shop here.

Love this place! Helpful friendly staff & a great selection of merchandise. For dog owners I highly recommend food grade diatomaceous earth for safely handling flea infestations, Natures Miracle Skunk Odor Remover, Scouts Honor Urine for training accidents and the beef bones (last forever & can be refilled). Also the only place I can find that sells hay/straw for my potato gardening!

The ladies that work here are absolutely amazing. Times are extremely tough and I didn't have enough money to buy dog food so one of the women working there went and grabbed me a big box full of sample packs of really good food for my dog. If you see this you know who you are and I want to thank you again for being so caring and helpful
