I love this place for all my chicken needs. No frills, just great staff that are super friendly and knowledgeable. If you want some frills, their Escondido location is also fabulous. I took my chick raising class through them. I have a happy, healthy flock which I also purchased my chicks from them.

I go to Hawthorne's for horse supplies. Their prices are fair and the staff is great. If they don't have something in stock they'll order it for you. I've also learned about better stall management thanks to their time teaching me.

I bought rat traps and rat poison. Good selection and the woman at the counter was very helpful. A cool place to check our. I believe it's more of a feed store. I have bought chicken scratch there to feed ducks economically.

I've only been there once and only for a brief visit to check things out. I live in Eucalyptus Hills, and "Carter's Fed and Grain" is my go to store since it's only a couple miles from my spred.

What great place to get your farm animals their grain and and hay also other things needed. It was my first time at a place like this. I was helping a friend for the day fix something's 9n his land but also pick up some grain for the chickens and order some more stuff that they were out of but will have it the next day for us. Now I know nothing about farming but after a day with my friend and the help of the folks working here I felt like I had been doing it all my life. I always give props to businesses that have great inventory or information they can tell me about the products they sell. But these folks that work here we're exceptional helpful and experienced in their field. I give the business it self 4.5 stars only because they sold the last bag of grain we needed. But 5 stars for the workers here that day. I will be back and also tell everyone that doesn't already know about this place. Please keep up the good work and don't even leave this place, you so belong here.

Staff if helpful. Nice place with nice people. If they don't know the answer to something they find it. The young lady working at the front was able to pull up all the different nutrients to the different chicken feeds so that I could compare them side by side without having to flip 60 lb bags over to get the info

Very friendly, helpful lady working here. She sold me an alternative food to scratch n peck layer feed that is very similar quality, cheaper, and 10 lbs heavier and gave me a ton of information. I will likely be coming here for now on! I miss the old business that was here, but Hawthorne is a fantastic replacement!

The Staff is absolutely wonderful! They special ordered dog food for me and were very meticulous about the exact flavor and sizes that I requested. They will load the food into your car for you (and even deliver for free within 3 miles). They are also open 7 days a week. I am very pleased with all of my interactions with this place.

This place is great! They didn't have what I wanted the first time I went in, but after speaking to them, they found what I wanted and now order it for me before I run out everytime. I call a day or two ahead of time and they have it ready for pick up at my convenience. I won't say names for privacy reasons but I will tell you that all personnel there are friendly, courteous, caring and will go out of their way to help your needs. Thank you HC feed! It is a pleasure doing business with you and I am lucky to have found a great feed store like yours.

Yoko is always super nice and helpful. This is one of the only places you can get Vaccinations for puppies and Dewormer. They have dewormer for all sizes of dogs. They also have very fair prices. Most of their stuff is priced less than Amazon.

I love that this is a family owned store! The staff are friendly and super helpful. I did trip out on how things have dust on it but then i remember it's a feedstore, where they sometimes have live animals and they have dander and the wind happens sometimes (big open doors and windows cuz it's soo hot), so yeah, dust on things. BUT...nothing you can't wipe off and it's brand new item! Boom...amazing huh!?This store is not as big as the others in Fallbrook or Escondido, but it's perfect to pick up hay and other stuff.Also - would rather support this lil store than Petsmart or Walmart!
