We had a pet emergency late in the day... very close to their closing time. They took our dog Molly directly into the back. Did an x-ray and blood work. Quick diagnosis and everything was explained to us by a kind doctor. BTW, we put Molly on a recommended diet, and one week later, her cough is gone, and she's already looking trimmer!! Love the service and the staff!

Best Veterinarian hospital I’ve ever been too. They actually care. My dog had an abscess on her foot and instead of blowing me off like other vets do, they at least gave me a home remedy so the swelling could go down before her appointment and ease her discomfort. Very compassionate and empathetic vet. Feels like a family because they are a warm, attentive and great humans. They are not about making money off your pet. They are busy and it’s a cute establishment.

Great doctors and staff saved my dog. I’m so thankful that they were there for an emergencyThey are very busy however and I had an experience that made me realize that they didn’t even remember my pet or look at her chart when I can back for a swollen paw. I also had problems ordering a medication crucial to my pet and she almost went dangerously without. The last visit the vet said she thought she recognized my dog AFTER her appointment as I explained her recent emergency at that same clinic. I think that her file could have been reviewed.I would have made the drive if I felt I had personal service but was not thrilled with follow up care or personal service

If you're looking for compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care, I can't recommend Dr. Dean and Dr. Parker (+ their staff) enough. We’ve brought our animals here for decades and recently our 15 year old pup Kaylee has been dealing with kidney disease, and they have consistently gone above and beyond to help. Aside from urgently making the time to see her and listening to us ramble about our concerns, what really stands out to me is how much they truly care about Kaylee's well-being. Their expertise is truly top-notch, and I have complete trust in their ability to diagnose and treat even the most complex issues. It's clear that they have a passion for what they do and genuinely want to help animals and their owners.Dr. Dean and Dr. Parker are outstanding veterinarians who have made a huge difference in Kaylee's life. Dr Dean and staff are awesome! I started bringing my furry babies to Santa Ynez Pet Hospital two years ago and they always treat me like family. I recently brought my 15yo cat Bella in because she stopped eating. Turned out she was suffering from kidney disease and was very critical. She had to stay in their intensive care unit overnight. I credit Dr. Dean and staff with saving my precious Bella. Anytime I have an issue, they get me right in. They really care and it shows. I would recommend this place to any pet owner.

I used to go to this vet years ago with my dog. And they were always rude. My dog was scared and would growl and they considered her a threat and demanded she be muzzled and take obedience classes. We went to a different vet and they were incredibly kind and my dog never had to wear a muzzle with them and treated my dog with respect. Now years later, I've attempted twice to go to this location to treat my rabbits and both times they failed me. Just recently they dismissed my pet's emergency and told me I had to wait until hours later to be seen even though my rabbit was almost at death's door. I ran to another vet and they immediately took him back and saved his life. I will never again try to do business with this SY Vet. I rather drive the 30 minutes to go to another. I do not recommend this place at all.

There when we needed them. Our dog got foxtails in her ear on a Friday afternoon. We called Santa Ynez Pet Hospital and they told us to bring her right over, even though they were very busy. We went in right away and the foxtails were out in no time. We couldn't be more appreciative.

My dog has an unknown eye infection and the team at SYPH got me in the same day I called to look at her eyes, as a problem in the eyes needs quick attention. Very thankful for their immediate attention and so glad to have Dr. Dean look at her, prescribe drops, and consult with me.

We are new to the area and they came recommended by a couple of neighbors. They were able to fit us in same day and you could tell truly cared about the wellbeing of my dog. They also were quick with an answer regarding medication on a follow up call. Thanks to them she's on her road to recovery. Would definitely recommend them and will be back!

Dr. Dean and his staff are the best at Santa Ynez Pet Hospital! We have used this veterinary hospital since 1991. They have always provided the most knowledgeable and kind service for our four legged friends. They also have helped at the saddest times with our babies. I wouldn’t hold anyone else with the trust of my rescue dogs other than Dr. Dean and his loving staff. They truly care about the animals 🐾🐾

Excellent service, staff and care. Dr. Dean is the best. Our miniature poodle went thru a difficult year of lymphoma and chemo and we were able to do everything here while Dr. Dean consulted with a specialist in Santa Barbara. In the end, our little guy lost his battle but Dr. Dean came to the house to allow him to cross the bridge in the comfort of his own home and bed, which meant everything to us. We are happy to have a new poodle puppy and to continue with this amazing practice with the best and friendliest cat greeters anywhere!!!

What can I say except they are the very best!!! I have been going there for 17 years. Dr Dean took care of my Airedale Maggie for her entire life. Also, 5 cats and now two more Airedale’s. The whole staff are very caring and and get you in as quickly as possible. I have also seen the other veterinarians that work there and they are also great!!! Our sweet Sophie got into some rat poison and our regular vet was closed. Santa Ynez Pet Hospital was open (thank goodness) and they got her in right away when we got there. They were able to get the poison out and Dr. Dean came out afterward and spoke to us quite thoroughly and reassuringly. He told us how much poison he got out, what to expect, how to check her, and gave us lots of confidence. Thank you Dr. Dean and Santa Ynez Pet Hospital for being there and your excellent care!

Our dog "Izzy" enjoys her overnight visits to Santa Ynez Pet Hospital. She is also groomed at that facility. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They keep good track of her condition and requirements. I highly Recommend the hospital for all matters relating to our pets.
