The pet store has almost everything one can think of, for a pet. Loved the variety of fishes they had.Staff seemed polite and friendly.Cons:With the volume and size of items, one may feel claustrophobic in the interiors. Owners could use some expansion.

I was impressed with the layout of this place with a vast variety of different items, hence the supplies part of its name; Village Pets & SUPPLIES. I would describe this place as more of a hardware store with some pet supplies.The parking is not wheelchair friendly but it's possible. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the aisles will be a challenge. They have a fantastic selection of home repair and cleaning products and more. They are a bit pricey but the product quality is unmatched. The cashier was excellent in every way. Shopping was stress free and untainted by any bad vibes at all. I do believe I will be returning to Village Pets& Supplies for my home repair needs as well as for our pets needs. It was a good experience. I recommend checking them out!

I go there once a week to get pet supplies and all the employees are so friendly and nice. I had to use doordash service after a surgery. An item I needed was out of stock, instead of not sending anything, they took the time to call me and walk the isle telling me all of my options! Very customer oriented! Love them!!!

Good variety of products available and very friendly and helpful staff. The store is in need of a deep cleaning and some updates. Prices seem reasonable and comparable to local competitors. I definitely prefer supporting local companies, though, so I can overlook the cleanliness in favor of shopping at a big box chain store.

What an adorable little pet shop, with one of the friendliest groups of staff I've seen in a long time. These girls are very sweet and helped me find every item I needed!! If you're searching for a genuine place to shop for your pets, I highly recommend Village Pets on Montgomery Drive!I was most impressed by Kyra with the bluish-green hair, her service truly made my day. I love this place. They are friendly, knowledgeable, they greet you when you walk in the door (that is very important to me). I read a review that mentioned they were a little pricey. I have not had that experience. I have found they are the same price as big name stores and even Amazon. The best part about going here is that you are supporting your local businesses. They also have a rewards program.

This is where I come every couple years for rats as pets! They are so great at handling the animals every day so that when you take them home they are accustomed to humans and being handled. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. It's great to support a local place like this that really cares about the animals they're serving. Highly recommend.

My family has been shopping here for pet supplies since I can remember! The staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of specialty food and treats for many different kinds of pets. Also, their loyalty reward program is great, if you haven't joined it you definitely should!

Very nice store. Friendly staff and will help you find what u need. I like that it is small. Pricier than box stores, but conveniently close to my home so I don’t mind paying extra.Only negative thing would be that they don’t have a lot of inventory and Not every item is priced.

I love this place. They are more reasonably priced than other local "fancy" places, and the selection is FAR broader. Their staff is super friendly and helpful. All of my pet need business will be going here from now on.

VERY healthy pets, cheerful staff, always have what I'm looking for or are willing to get it for me without obligation. Always had a recommendation of where to take pets for beak trims, spaying, etc. Parking is easy, no big lines. I've bought 3 kittens, 1 rabbit and 4 parakeets there, all VERY healthy and those I bought years ago are still healthy. It's more convenient for me than the bigger places in town, and I'm glad to patronize it. The negative reviews are very unreal--I've shopped at this store for over a decade and can say they're not true. Nasty competitors, I'd bet. Probably a systematic practice by chain stores. . .I'd hate to think other locals would stoop so low.

I was very disappointed in the assistance I received from this place. I went in on my birthday looking for a bird to purchase. The girl was very unhelpful and after a few minutes stated they would be closing and would no longer be able to sell any pets. I have called there multiple times to ask about the parakeets and that always seem to be the same age of 10 weeks and a few days so I think that is just their standard go to answer. I decided to take my business elsewhere and am very happy I did so.

I would rather go here than any of the big box pet stores. The nice ladies have always had what I wanted. They even have live crickets in various sizes for lizard and snake owners! If we don't support local businesses, all we will have are the big box stores that I really dislike.

Great local pet store for all types of food and willing to make special orders for customers. Reptile selection not very consistent. Live food (mice, crickets, goldfish ect) deliveries on Tuesday afternoons.

VPS is one of my favorite and mypups favorite pet shops. It’s small but mighty. The selection of dog treats, supplies, food etc is perfect for my little yorkie. Every employee has been pleasant and very personable. It gives me the small town mom and pop shop feel. It is without question that this quaint little shop is the best Sonoma County has to offer.

Village Pets is excellent. Great people. The shop at montgomery ave should take more care to keep their dog food in cans cooler. Weve gotten bad cans. No problem returning them but they should keep them cooler. Ummm maybe get ac?

This is a smaller pet store than the big box pet stores but they are crammed with just about everything you need for all your common house pets. They also sell reptiles, rabbits, fish (No Marine) sometimes rats, mice & hamsters & kittens. Live crickets, frozen food, etc. Average to a little pricy but I don't mind paying a little more to support my local pet store to help keep them in business so they are still there when I just need to pick something up real quick.

I came here when a feral mama kitty gave birth to kittens and abandoned a few of its babies. These guys at the pet store gave me some good advice, carried kitten milk replacement and bottles (not cheap), and they said they'd take kittens at 6 weeks and find them homes. This location is not cheap, but they're a local pet store, and we should probably support them.

love this place! everyone is very nice and they are the only pet store in santa rosa that carries dubias and they care about their animals so much! why shop anywhere else! :)
