The 4th St Safeway is my favorite Safeway in Santa Rosa. It is close to where I live and I never have trouble finding a place to park. Customer service there is consistently top notch. The restrooms are easy to find and clean. The produce section is well stocked with fresh vegetables and fruit and very inviting, the way it is laid out. Sometimes I stop by just to get a few items like some cereal that I like, milk, eggs and usually some pet food. I am in and out quick. They also have a variety of gift cards. I use them to shop online. Sometimes I get sandwiches in the Deli. Come to think of it, this is a great all around store.

Very Frustrating experience. Workers on floor were on their phone. Checkout line was great. I was trying to find a worker to ask a question but the meat counter was closing and one worker was talking with a guest for over an hour back in produce. I waited 40 minutes nearby not wanting to interrupt, but eventually I just wanted to get on with it. Checkouts were great and fast. Great bagging. Frustrating floor staff.

I've had consistently positive experiences at Safeway, and I'm more than happy to leave a 5-star review.Safeway is my go-to grocery store for several reasons. OMG! If you haven't checked out there floral shop and gift area you should. Some cute potted plants and nice floral arrangements both Safeway brand bit also a Local floral grower. Lasts for a week or better if you take care of them.

Great selection of fresh produce, their grab n go section is kind of lacking. They offer a very average sandwich for $6 when you could obviously go to a subway or similar and get much more for your dollar.Staff seem to be attentive and helpful

Beware of the seafood section and if you do purchase, check for freshness.Writing this just after throwing up from taking one bite out of salmon purchased two hours ago from this store - my own fault, the fish didn't look right, too soft and a bit discolored; but I grilled and bit into it anyway.Called the customer service to inform them about the salmon. They didn't apologize, nor did they ask for more information; they just said they'll "inform" the meat section and hung up. May I add, lack of concern/compassion and sketchy quality control "procedures"... Unbelievable...

I go here to get lunch when I'm working and I love the fresh mixed fruit bowls. I can also go to Starbucks and the bank all in one trip so that is a plus. I like earning points for every dollar I spend too towards my gas savings. With gas cost going up continually every penny saved counts.

Great selection. Prices tend to be high on regular items and good on many of the sale items. Online coupons are worthwhile signing up for. Make sure to bring your phone to show clipped coupons since sometimes they do not show up on the register.

By far the best grocery store I've ever been for into my life blowing Kroger out the water blowing Walmart out the water staff is incredible coupons would be a great gift. Cold chicken is really good

This location is very convenient and it's open till late. Parking lots are illuminated at night and very clean. Bakery is always super busy, so make sure to count in a couple of minutes when you make a trip to the deli and or bakery area.

I couldn't find most of what I was looking for. They don't even stock soy sauce top ramen. All the produce I was looking for I had to get organic which is more expensive. If you want to go to Safeway then I suggest Mendocino or Marlow.

This Safeway has all the retail food I need and is well organized like the other Safeway stores.This particular branch doesn't have as many homeless people as the Safeway branches on Mendocino & Steele or Marlow & Greeneville, which can be intimidating at a minimum or downright frightening at times.

We usually shop at a different Safeway, a couple of miles east of this one. Hey, it's a Safeway. Reliable and easy to find things. My wife still calls it Vons, which is essentially the same store down in San Diego. If you like Vons, you'll like Safeway, and vice versa.

People are friendly when they have to deal with u. Ive sat at customer service desk fof half hour waiting for assistance in full view of multiple employees and hitting the help button but sadly its all younger workers and i had to waif for a person to get back from theyre break to get help… i think an oldermore experienced crew would of practiced better customer service skills cuz thats obv not on they priority list.. at night its way worse i think due to shortage of employees and again a very young and unexpired inexperienced crew of workers n most have headphones in listening to music sk its hard to get attention for help but its def better than marlow safeway or many other cities safeways.

Hire store, nice & clean, but when O went through looking specifically for pearl onions for a recipe, I couldn't find any and they actually do not carry them at all. The food fads cauliflower rice and zucchini noidles were there, but something simple like pearl onions? I mean, really!

Lack luster merchandising and I don't say that lightly. Nothing stands out for sales or customer service. Classic grocery store that thrives due to convince not quality. I use.to shop here exclusively, but due to the pandemic and increase in all the above at other grocery stores. I shop where it is easy to see sales and prices and exceptional customer service.

Very unfriendly meat department today. I wish I could give them negative stars because i was ignored at the counter, then when I asked for help, the butcher snapped at me. Of I had not been so shocked, I would have walked put right then.

I always enjoy my trips to this Safeway. All of the staff and store managers are helpful. They offer a meat department which is nice and they have locally grown organic produce if that is what you desire. Prices are competitive with their Club Card. Over the years I have bought produce that wasn't very good or even bad. All you need to do is let them know and they will either refund your money (with a receipt) or offer you whatever item was bad for no cost. Always helpful.

Several negative comments.Waiting for help reaching out for someone to wire me some money to western union so I can go home This person was so rude to me. Because I asked for help and not white I was so lost and far away from city all I need was a phone call couldn't use the phone when I came back to get my money the rude lady said oh your still here! since she was manager I couldn't really get help from anyone who was working at Safeway told workers not to help me they are were so racist towards me that Big Forest Fire happened in that area...I was glad I don't live there and I don't live with like with people like her.
