Website states walk-in’s okay. As I was waiting next in line a lady was canceling her appointment. First they said I could have her unused spot. Then they said that had to call those on a waiting list. Then they said leave because was going to take a long time to call everyone on list. I’m 100% sure they didn’t called anyone on the list. Suddenly I came to the conclusion i didn’t want to leave my boys with these people. If they felt comfortable lying to me then who knows how they would treat my boys left in their care. Being a new-be to pet ownership, two standard poodles 6 months old. I’m advising caution when leaving your pet at this location.

No carts on hand, claimed homeless stole them. I'm sure you guys make enough to replace them in a timely manner. Saw a lot of your customers using carts from other stores. You make it very difficult to buy heavy or large items if we can't have a way to transport them, not just to the register but also to our vehicles. Staff was helpful and courteous, that was appreciated.

This Petco is always so helpful and friendly. They have a huge selection of cat towers that are often already built, a huge selection of dog outfits and gear and a wonderful display of grooming items.They are very attentive fully staffed and it’s a clean store!

Well--the staff isn't really that helpful 😞If you asked him where something is they'll say well it could be over there point you in the direction and get on with what they're doing they don't like to be bothered really I think.However/I like to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they're just overworked and a little stressed--but it would have been nice to get help for what I was trying to get.Then when I finally found the area where there could have been the product that I was looking for they were out and there was anybody that could answer if they were going to get some back in so that's disappointing so I just want to a different store and bought my purchase.

I just went in to Petco as my first day employed. So they have me on the computer sitting in the only employee break room in the facility going over policies to complete before heading on to training in The grooming salon. I wasn't there for more than 3 hours after clocking in. The entire time I sat there I couldn't help but notice all the disgusting and foul filth surrounding me. So I decided to take pictures of the entire employee break room there was mold in the refrigerator and fuzz and fur and hair. The inside of the microwave had splattered food and liquid, the floor of the break room look like it hadn't been swept in weeks, there was dead cockroaches on the floor, the entire break room which by the way is very tiny was cluttered with trash and filth and food crumbs bugs everything. I decided that I wasn't going to stick around so I immediately told them I will be resigning without a doubt. I contacted corporate and I left a complaint with HR. Also they told me I had to sign a letter of recognition which I have never been legally required to at any other job I've ever had. though I agreed to sign the letter of recognition they brought me out a blank folded piece of scrap paper, I then refused to sign my name in any other information they told me to sign due to the unprofessionalism and the fact there was no fine print or anything. The managers Tricia and sita demeanor towards me was very triggering as if I was crazy or slow for politely coming to them in private telling them about the filth and the break room and that I wish to resign. So they told me that I will be leaving under job abandonment which is fine by me because I will not be forced to sign a blank piece of scratch paper with no fine print telling me I have to sign this letter of recognition it is required. The employee break room was absolutely disgusting and I feel disrespected that the manager Trisha told me well that's just the break room that's nothing like The grooming salon. It is still my work environment that I have to settle into and that is the only place for me to sit on breaks or lunch. I feel bad for the other employees but I wasn't willing to stick around the place was absolutely tragic in a terrifying sight to see

Ordered some special eye drops online and picked them up same day! The entire store has been redone, and now has a larger, more modern veterinary clinic area and the registers have been pushed forward against the entrance wall.

The employees are so very helpful. When I'm unsure what is best or recommend I can always ask and get what I need and answered. If it wasnt for their help id probably spend a few hours in the store all confused.They make sure they can help with all your questions and guide you throughout your visit unlike other retails where some just help with what your looking for find it and just walk away.

I bought a dog leash at Petco in Portland on April 5th, and I wanted to return it because it was too small. I drove to Santa Rosa on April 10th, but Alana, who is the store manager here, told me that I couldn’t return it because I didn’t have a receipt, and tell us not to take the next customer’s time !We are very disappointed to have such a shopping experience. I will tell all my friends and family not to shop at Petco in the future because we have unfair terms. Even if you provide a credit card charge record, they can’t refund you. This is robbery! Never shopping from Petco!

Place is always dirty and disorganized, staff walking around even heard one on her phone with her friends while customers needed help while still on the floor. Customer service is horrible, they act like they don’t want to be there and don’t greet customers especially rude at checkout our lady was the one with two piercings in her lip and short hair. I wouldn’t recommend this location, if you can go to others I’d avoid her as a last resort.

I am so disappointed in the quality of care I saw. I’m a Petco regular and like to visit them wherever I go. Every area in this store that had live pets was unfortunate. Enclosures were very dirty , cages lacked fresh water, and some animals had injuries/signs of neglect. I’ve been to this location a year ago and it was fine. What happened?

I used to take my dog to a different Petco groomer before moving to Santa Rosa with no issues at all. All I wanted today was to get his nails trimmed. This takes all of 5-10mins MAX. I’d make an appointment but unfortunately petco doesn’t allow you to make appointments for “a la carte” services, like a nail trim. I called the store before leaving my house to make sure a walk in would be ok, but no one answered. I called again, no answer. I finally just went ahead and drove over. I watched someone grooming a dog and heard someone else bathing one in the back. I stood there for 20mins waiting, without either person acknowledging me. (My old petco would pause grooming to see what I needed and let me know wait time) Finally a store employee noticed me and went to talk to the groomers. Apparently they “couldn’t fit me in today”. An hour of my day wasted, thanks!Petco needs to allow nail trim appointments. This location needs to train their employees to answer the phone, and greet customers. At minimum she could have come and told me she wouldn’t get to me today so I didn’t have to stand there wasting more time.Very annoyed.

Well merchandised and a great selection. I prefer the independent stores as I usually get better customer service. I wandered the store for 20 minutes and was never approached by a clerk. Prices were a bit high but the store looked nice.

Great selection of pet supplies. We've gotten vet shots here for our dog when their rolling service comes in. Very efficient and worth it. Lots of products to choose from when it comes to foods and toys and merchandise. They also offer dog washing and grooming services and a self-service dog washing tubs at the Unleashed Petco location. Costs only $15 or so to bath your animal. A family member washed my dog at one, and my dog was the cleanest, best smelling and sooo soft - they must have great shampoo or conditioner. Plus industrial blow dryers and a great set up to do it yourself. Thank you Petco for being in business! 🐶

Sometimes I love this store and the selection but lately it's been kinda bare with the selection of dog clothes and No Valentine's dog toys or Valentine's anything, it all sports stuff 😒 But my dog did find her fav sweater here before xmas and they love their salmon oil.
