We love taking our 4 pound Pomeranian puppy to paws & effect for her grooming! Miriam really takes her time and does a great job. She only uses scissors and does not shave her, which we appreciate. The front desk staff have also been great every time we’ve been there.

The best groomer in LA! They are so patient and kind with my large dog Lulu, who is scared of the groomers. She always leaves happy and looking fantastic!! They also have a great selection of toys and treats :)

Sundae is feeling herself! Paws & Effects is great. They know your dog’s name and make every effort to make them comfortable. My pup loves water and doesn’t mind being but it’s definitely not her favorite thing (brushing can be a chore). I can tell she’s excited to come here. I also really like the way they cut her coat, keeping her fluffy and bear-like while still exposing her eyes, ears, paws, etc. Her coat is always SUPER soft after her session here. Not all groomers know how to work with this coat and the staff will help place your pup with the right groomer. She’s a mini Bernadoodle w/wavy hair. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, but not Long hair cat grooming experience. When I asked if they knew how to groom long hair cat the owner (really nice) mentioned they could do it, when I picked up my pet she was shaved with spots all over, some few areas you could see her pink skin. They are very nice, but unfortunately no the grooming service I was looking for my pet.Pics - after severals weeks after grooming.

My dog Bear and I have been going here for a couple years and were happy clients until they almost killed my dog. I took him in for his usual grooming and upon pick up they had him outside (they had not called me to tell me there were any issues I just received a pick up text) where he was gasping for air, his tongue was blue and his eyes were rolling in the back of his head. I immediately knew something was wrong, and the staff tried assuring me that he was fine. I knew he wasn't. The groomer Kathy told me I was too emotional to drive and tried blocking me from driving to save my pet. I rushed him to the ER at Santa Monica Pet Medical center while giving him mouth to mouth. He suffered over 105 fever and HEAT STROKE , he was hooked up to oxygen, fluids steroids to name the least. A usual haircut turned into to thousands of dollars to save my pup. The vet said if I hadn't brought him in he would've died because he was overheated. It wasn't a hot day, it was from being neglected inside of Paws and Effect. My dog had no prior health issues. Now they're lying to cover themselves. I wouldn't trust them write your dog, ever! It was the worst day of my life.

My second time here and they are wonderful and talented people/groomers. I feel confident when I drop Roman off. They go above and beyond to accommodate you and your pet. My single complaint is it is a little pricey, like $40 more for a regular bath than at my regular groomer. However my regular groomer does not do haircuts Paws and effect Pet Spa does excellent haircuts. I highly recommend this groomer.

They take good care of our boy Charlie. They follow our instructions, thorough with the cleaning and care, and excellent with their start and end time. Location is clean and staff is friendly. Parking is metered but you’re in and out, so worth the risk of not paying anything. Highly recommend!

So glad I found this place! Such a cute pet shop with so many unique toys and treats on top of the grooming services. The online booking system makes it so easy to make an appointment. My dog was so soft and fluffy after his grooming appointment and the staff was so sweet to him. I love how they use natural, high quality products as well! We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I just moved to the West LA area and we took our time finding a spot to have our dog, Duchess, groomed. There were plenty of good places, but each seemed to have one horror story hidden in their reviews. We would not take that risk.After dinner on Pico Blvd we noticed a little dog store and took a peek through the window. We didn’t even notice the grooming salon, just the cute little toys they had for sale. Later, checking online, we were delighted to discover it was the best reviewed groomer this side of town — not a bad experience in text.Paws & Effect definitely deserves that renown. I was shocked at how Duchess looked when we picked her up, her hair was as soft as silk. More importantly, she seemed so genuinely happy for reasons that clearly went beyond the mere fact we were there to pick her up. Her whole life, going into a grooming salon was a tragic experience complete with shivering and the inevitable carrying her like a baby. Here, she was at ease and came out looking royal enough to live up to her name.I would definitely recommend going to Paws & Effect. Their dedication to treating your pet with compassion, love and gentleness is the most prized and valued traits I would seek in a groomer.

My dog came home with fleas after being groomed here. I called to let them know and they weren't very kind about it.They did a decent job on my poodle's hair cut, but for the price, it wasn't anything significantly better than what you'd get at Petco.

This is the only groomers I will take my baby to. He’s a Maltese/Coton pup and about 10 months so he needs patience, love and a lot of brushing. The professionals there always do an amazing job with him and he’s always in the best spirit when I pick him up. I also reco Paws and Effect to all my dog mom and dad friends. Keep being awesome!
