Great place to go for some puppy swag! It always feels like I'm in a boutique. They have unique stuff for dog clothing, actual back packs for dogs to wear lol outdoor tents, carrying cases, leashes, collars, customized tags, travel gear and you can even get shoes or rain boots for your fur baby as well!! Yes, it's not cheap but worth every penny.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this one is worth sharing…I cried after seeing what they did to my puppy, Archie. I have a cavapoo and he was super matted so I knew they would shave him but it’s very uneven. The face is fine but not sure why his tail and ears weren’t trimmed. Sadly, I think I could have done a better job for $0 instead of $90.Another thing I didn’t like was when they took him. Archie is extremely shy and scared of humans (but not aggressive and super sweet) so when they put a collar around his neck and tried pulling him to the back of the store, he was terrified. The resistance caused him to choke and cough. To prevent the choking they pulled part of the collar around his leg. Maybe this is normal??Unfortunately, I will not be taking him there for the grooming services. :(

Took our wire fox terrier in to see Kevin (who she had been hand stripped by before twice).I explicitly asked him to lightly strip her coat on her back as we mostly wanted to focus on her face and ears being stripped.I’m no professional but anyone with a hand stripping comb can see this is too short. Can someone explain to me why they thought seeing her skin was a good idea? See the picture below for how patchy and little fur she has left.I’d recommend avoiding this grooming service if you have a WFT and avoid Kevin.

I have been buying Duke’s food here for the last two years because they have human grade high quality dog food with no filler products. It’s a more high end pet store.That said I had to share how amazing the people who work here are!!! The customer service I receive here is always outstanding! David today went out of his way once again and helped me instal a dog cabin cover for the back of my Toyota Highlander, since my hands where full with Duke. I so appreciated his kindness & help. Thank you David Duke is so happy chilling in the back like a rock star!

We had our dog groomed there on a trip to LA. It's located on Wishire Blvd. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Parallel parking only on the street. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They seem to genuinely like dogs and it showed in how they treated our dog.They also provided samples of natural dog treats which our dog (Gator) loved.His grooming was done really well. Probably one of the best he has ever had. It is pricey though. $100.00 for a 10 lb dog but it must be the rate for L.A.

My puppy absolutely loves going to daycare at Healthy Spot. All of the staff are attentive, friendly, and caring. I feel more than comfortable leaving her there knowing she's in great hands. She has blast every time she goes and comes home exhausted which is great for me! I'm so happy I found Healthy Spot and would recommend to anyone.

Had my dude in a week ago to get his nails trimmed, and I've never had anyone have me or my pup leave as happy as I did after Joseph and Eric helped with my guy. Joseph was perfect in how he managed and clipped, and Eric provided a strategically loving distraction that left my guy with a big smile; these guys are amazing.

Simply the best pet store ever. Staff is always friendly, attentive and helpful. Brought my pup in for a new harness staff member Gilda spent time reviewing advantages and disadvantages of each harness making sure the harness we purchased was the right fit.I was having quite a time finding the right food for my new pup but the staff at Healthy Spot was once again most helpful. Working with multiple staff members Dave, Jaz, Amber, Gilda and manager Rhonda they offered suggestions and advice along with samples of various brands of food. It took a while but we came up with a winning combination to satisfy my new pup and me as well. I highly recommend Healthy Spot for your pet's needs. Attentive staff and caring individuals.

I help a friend on a regular basis taking his dog to this location.. In general they are pretty good but are not consistent and how they style his hair. I have suggested that they take photos when the owners of the dog there's other dog give thumbs up thumbs up on the latest cut et cetera. That would help immensely. That would help immensely. I got in trouble because it was taking an ordinary long time to pick up the dog.. I had called and had been standing waiting for quite a while but did not hear until quite a while afterwards that they had had a plumbing problem in the building. It would have been helpful had they Communicate that issue more quickly so that I he said that I did not receive such harsh harsh unbelieving treatment from the people who own the dog dog. In general though they are very good but communication seems to be spotty at times and unnecessarily so. If a dog is being brought in on a regular basis they should keep photos at the best Requested hairstyle on file which is computerized anyway in order to help the groomers out in case it is not the regular groomer.

Horrible experience. I dropped my dog off and 11am and was told they would call me when he was finished (said about 3 hours for a groom). They never called and I eventually got worried and just showed up at 5pm. Not only was he ready, he was super hyper. Come to find out they never let him out for 6 hours! Completely unacceptable. Will NOT be back.

Came in here to get the Answers goat milk (fermented probiotics) for my dog that isn't feeling well. Amber is always so wonderful. She was kind enough to show me around a few more items that I ended up picking up thanks to her assistance. I really like coming here. This is a special place, very good vibe here. I'm so impressed by this store and the products that they offer are truly top of the line. This is like a Whole Foods for pets. I Absolutely recommend coming here as the products they carry are essential for our pets. All pet parents need to do more research on preventative health by boosting their pets immunity and top of the line nutrition. At the end of the day you are what you eat. Choose wisely.

So sad to write this review as we have been coming to this location for 2+ years. This is now the second time our dog has been shaved to the SKIN with no approval or warning, after the first time we decided to give them a second chance. Worst choice ever.When you schedule a bath and dematting, you'd expect for only those services - but at Healthy Spot if it's more convenient for them, they'll just shave your dog, without a call or text.Please go somewhere else, ESPECIALLY if you are assigned an employee named "Andy" who decided to shave our dog without any permission, if you are assigned him for a bath - go somewhere else.Absolutely devastating, there should be a place for negative stars based on not one, but two "baths" that resulted in a shaved dog.

I went for grooming and they did a great job! I have a shih tzu, which are high maintenance when it comes to grooming, and I always get nervous going to a new place. But the length is perfect, he seemed happy when he came out (which is huge, my dog is good with groomers but if he hates one I won't go back), and he was done in less than 3 hours! And the staff were all super friendly and quick to help.

Love this Healthy Spot. The customer service reps are always super friendly and happy to help / answer any questions. The grooming team are awesome. Denise is who my dogs go to now as I love the way she cuts my poodle mix’s hair but honestly, every single groomer does a great job. I’ve been a HS customer for 4 years at 3 different locations and will continue to be. I drive pretty far out of my way to bring my dogs here for grooming!

I wish I can update a good review, but is hard this time.This location is 3 minutes walking from home, is very convenient ?..yes , but no anymore .For about 2.5 years since I have adopted Danny I use this store., every month or every other month.. but some reason every time that I take Danny here , He ends up with a lot more of fleas .. literally eating him alive. Danny don’t go out all the time is an apartment dog , He likes to be mostly inside since is a senior dog .Now he is very restless, uncomfortable, scratching, crying , at night gets worse.While we shower him we can see light bloo color on the water , he is infested basically. and of course we 100% concerned about it. Just hope other not experienced the same . And hopefully local authorities will give this place a quick visit just to make sure they follow the sanitation rules.**The only way that you can make us feel good, is having health department involved letting your clients know about the procedures that you use handling our dogs , the procedures to keep the grooming are free of infestation , etc. Better you can have open windows all grooming facility area.More honesty equals more loyal clients.Nara V

I love health spot and everything they stand for! Finally a place that stands for healthy living for our fur babies!!Love how close this place is to Playa, we needed a shop local to the area. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 is some of the products are over priced. I've seen some things on amazon for half the price. It would be nice if they could have some monthly deals and better options with the groomers. My pup is only 4 pounds and they charge 75$ for shampoo and hair cut!

This place is more focused on dogs and that's ok because it's always fun to meet a new pup in the store. They have a small, but good selection of cat food and treats. The customer service is always good. Just wish they had more promos and deals when buying pet food.

Usually I don’t do this because I am an Instacart shopper and shopping at the store wasn’t for me personally, it was for a customer. However my trip was so amazing that I had to leave a review. When I walked in, I was looking for a cart, looking completely lost. Lol. Then this amazing person, Dion walked up to me and asked if I needed help. I said I was looking for a cart and he happily said “Honey I’m your cart.” Mind you I’ve never been here before. He asked if he could have my phone to look at all the items I needed and he took it and went around the store in a matter of 7 minutes grabbing all 34 items like it was nothing. I don’t even have fur babies but if I did I would drive all the way from downtown Long Beach (where I live) just to shop there. His service was amazing and the other staff members were extremely pleasant. Its rare to receive service like his nowadays and he was so considerate that I was on a timed schedule. I want to thank Dion for a wonderful experience and the customer I was delivering for was pleased, so was Charlie, the pup who received all those wonderful treats! Thank you again for being a kind person who was willing to go the extra mile just because!
