I bring my dog (Goose) here for daycare all the time -- he LOVES it and the staff is super attentive and friendly! It feels like bringing your dog to a family member or friend's house. It's a relaxed atmosphere where you know your dog is going to be in good hands and you can rest easy.They also post a lot of pictures of the dogs playing on instagram and always send cute report cards at the end of the day, which is fun to see!I don't know what I would do without Animal Kingdom, it's one of my favorite businesses in town!

Love the AKSM! I have had all of my dogs' grooming done there for years. They are very accommodating and willing to help you make a good choice for your pet's grooming needs. They have a clear menu with pricing on their website but if you need help in deciding what service to book they will gladly assist you. DJ made me very comfortable continuing to be groomed there after he began having seizures. I also use the monthly anesthesia-free teeth cleaning service they have every month.

I’ve loved the store in the past and how they curate their inventory but I just bought my dog a toy there and it disintegrated within five hours. And they won’t give me a store credit or anything of the sort. I want to support small pet stores but they need to have customer service policies that allow a customer to come back. (My dog has never destroyed a toy like that they usually last him at least nine months.)

Staff is very friendly, personable, and make great recommendations based on your dog. If the person attending you doesn’t know, they’ll ask all the staff to see who knows. It’s amazing the level of communication and how they complement one another. Grooming is always fantastic. My dog loves going there - and he’s scared of the groomers. It’s been a great experience and my sister even takes her dog there! Fantastic service!

My long hair cat had gotten terrible mats that cause skin tears and Christina spent hours patiently getting through them. He stayed there for hours and came home beautiful and out of pain. The costs are so reasonable and I really appreciate how thoughtfully they cared for my cat.

We took our senior (16+) kitty for his very first grooming session. His back legs, belly, and rear end were getting a bit matted because he was too stiff to groom. We picked him up and his beautiful white fur has never looked better! Annie trimmed his belly, back legs, and rear end; trimmed his claws; gave him a full bath; cleaned his ears; and gave him the most adorable bandana. Days later, we can’t stop saying just how gorgeous he looks!! I am extremely pleased and we will definitely be back. Our cat looks years younger and looks so handsome!

Everyone here is so nice. My dog is kind of a handful when it comes to grooming and they do such a great job with him. Patient, gentle, caring and very reasonable. Definitely recommend. P.S. Anna always does an amazing job

When the new owners of Animal Kingdom took over years ago, we tried very hard to work with them, especially as we live one block from their store. Unfortunately, they kept changing brands they carried, and discontinuing brands our cats were used to. We really wanted to support them as a local business, so we had to place special orders with them for the brands our cats were used to, and had to place orders one week in advance, without even knowing if orders would be fulfilled. More often than not, they were not, leaving us scrambling to procure our cat supplies in an emergency fashion.The last drop for us was when we were expecting a large order that didn't arrive on time: that was early December a couple years ago. When we asked the owner Chris when we could expect it, she said dismissively that she would not place the order until mid-January = 6 weeks away. When we pointed to her that it would be an issue for us, she said that our cats would just have to wait. Really? So, we'd have to switch off our cats for 6 weeks?! We found out later on from a sales associate that Chris is a bookkeeper, and that she wanted to keep a year-end low inventory for tax purposes - so to hell with pet customers?We were so upset with such total disregard for pets' lives and wellbeing that we stopped shopping for supplies at Animal Kingdom, using another supplier who had been reliable plan B whenever Animal Kingdom had failed us - and have keeping using them since then.The one thing that kept us going to Animal Kingdom was their grooming services. We've used them regularly for years. We made an appointment for both our cats today, and dropped them off this morning. The owner's husband made a point of reminding us about the negative review (after that appalling December experience, review we deleted later on), so we were concerned about the quality of the grooming - even though we'd been there for regular grooming for years.Worse to come: we were informed by the groomer a couple of hours later that the owner Chris had instructed her not to go ahead with our cat's grooming, which means that our cats were left in their small carriers for two hours for no reason, in addition to the stress. And the owner/store never bothered to let us know, even though they had our contact information. That's animal abuse, period.Luckily, we were able to get our cats home safely, and groomed this afternoon by another service, but they went through an unnecessary ordeal because of Animal Kingdom's pettiness and total disregard for animal wellbeing.Appalling business practice and customer care.Not recommended if you care for your pets.

Animal Kingdom is such a wonderful local business! The staff go above and beyond, very friendly, and Christine the owner is SO accommodating. The daycare prices are very reasonable Our one year old dog loves daycare here, she is so happy at the end of the day and is exhausted - and a daycare report card is a great touch.

Great local family business! Great location, easy to get to. They have everything you need, including lots of specialty items. I have an English Bulldog, and all the stuff he needs is here, including rare diet foods and chew toys. The service is very personal and they offer an array of services. Animal Kingdom is everything you want in a pet store and more!

Fun liitle pet store/groomer with lots of whimsical surprises tucked away in plain site. Loads of pet healthy and environmentally friendly items. EVERONE was super sweet. Very knowledgeable about their products and BEYOND loving with my fur babies. ANNA is the best. I have 2 Doberman puppies (6months). They are overly playful. Anna had them calm and ready for their nail trim within minutes. Going there felt like going to family. I will definitely be returning soon.

Great people and service. My pup was too squirmy during the nail clipping, so for her safety they recommended we see a vet instead. Although they clipped one paw (more than I could ever manage!) they didn’t charge me. Love this place and will be coming back for treats and toys!

We've been bring our dog here for daycare and grooming for a while now. The staff is incredibly friendly and our pooch always comes back happy and (sometimes) clean. My favorite part of their daycare is the little doggy report cards they have for each pet at the end of the day.

I've been going here for a few years. My little dog freaks out with grooming but Anna is so patient and kind. Recently he had fleas and she really worked to get him in quickly. Yes, a bit pricey, but worth it.

Great reason why you should buy local. The business was closed when I called but the co-owner answered the phone anyway. He agreed to open up just to let me in to buy a single important item for my dog. He was super helpful and very knowledgeable. A wonderful example of superior customer service. We'll be back for sure.

We have our dog come to day care here. The staff are lovely. They have indoor and outdoor areas and supervise all the dogs all day. He does agility, hangs with the other dogs and naps. He’s always happy to go there.

Working long hours locally to this shop they are a lifesaver for my doggy day care needs! My big boy loves to play in the yard with the other pups, and i love that the owners are so dedicated to hand picking through temperment tests the dogs that will fit best in their existing "pack". I love seeing the update pics during the day on their facebook page, what great piece of mind that my kiddo is having a great day.The staff there seem to love what they do and the shopfront always has some fun new treat for my pup to try.thanks to them for taking care of my pup like they would one of their own.

I really appreciate this stores hard work and care when it comes to taking care of animals. I adopted a cat and unfortunately afterwards my doctor told me I was "very" allergic to cats which I could tell because I suddenly could not breath and I was constantly having sinus issues. I posted something on the internet hoping someone with a kind heart would help and after dealing with a lot of rotten apples (shaming me for not keeping a cat I was allergic to) this store came through and offered my cat a home and to give her the exposure she needed to be adopted by someone new. Christine the manager / owner really went above and beyond to help. I hope this business thrives because their customer service is way beyond any chain store.
