Walked in and the store was a complete mess. They was overstocked product scattered throughout the store on the floor. A quarter of the ceiling lights were blinking in and out constantly. They were giant spider webs hanging from the rafters onto the some of the products on the shelf. But worst of is the condition the pet mice were in. Some of the male mice looked visible sick. There was old feces stuck on some of the water bottle holder. And the cage was disgusting with the mice sleeping in a igloo with tons of poop just uncleaned. And no help or welcome from the associates either. I really don't recommend this store.

The two gentlemen that work in the fish department are extremely knowledgeable. I definitely will be going back and using their fish department from now on with my new aquarium. There advice is excellent everytime I go in. Always polite and friendly.

Was so disappointed to see our groomer of 10 years, Jennifer ,no longer there, due to one New manager coming aboard. If she was a few minutes late, her clients did not mind because they understand the woes of being a single mother. You lost an extremely valuable employee as well as all her loyal customers that have followed her. Not good business practice Petco.

My baby got his vaccines here and they were so nice and patient! The staff is also super helpful and nice. Some things are pricy but overall they have good products and decent prices

I dropped off my dog Roy a few minutes early for his 12:15 appointment. The grooming department was there and eager to take Roy to the back until it was his turn to go. I want to tell you that Roy loves being there at the groomer. Next to being home with the family, it is his favorite place. I reviewed his services with the groomer and off he went. When I picked him up he was clean, shiny and smelled amazing,. They always do a great job with him and that is why we will continue to bring him back time and time again.

PETCO GROOMING was outstanding. Morgan groomed my Husky- Malamute, Bella. It is challenging and she did wonders for my dog's coat and undercoat. So happy I tried PETCO GROOMING and had MORGAN help my dog. Awesome experience!!!

Petco in Santa Maria needs to hire more employees. Last time I visited the store the cashier was also directing customers where to find the merchandise, while handling the register. He was the only employee on the floor. I know that because I asked him. I felt bad for him. It is way too much pressure. Speaking of merchandise, it was in carts all over the store waiting for someone to restock the shelves.

Previously, I gave this a 5 star for grooming with Ms. Tanna, she has moved, and I called to get in they told me booked out till March, and they are so short staffed was the reason. So basically I have to find somewhere else to go! So disappointing 😞

Our visit was for grandsons birthday. They offer convenient package deals (food & arcade) for such events. Excellent idea & great value. The place was clean & the food was good. Salad bar had plenty of options. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Attention Petco. Regarding your dart frog setup. Too young, too small, too dry, too hot, too deep misting needed not drowning pools, to dirty cover that soil with leaf litter and clean that water. Dart frogs need more than flies out of a bottle, they need supplements such as calcium and D3 dusted on all their food.

I usually go to the Petco in Santa Barbara, but I prefer this location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is organized and items are easy to find. I have not tried their grooming services yet, but I would definitely bring my dog there.

When I arrived there were no carts available to shop with even though there weren’t many customers in the store. The store smelled bad like dirty pet enclosures. It was hard to navigate the aisles with my toddler (even though we didn’t have a cart) because there was so much stock waiting to be put away. They did have the pet food I was looking for. Cashiers weren’t knowledgeable, helpful, or friendly. Overall an unpleasant shopping experience. I won’t be returning.

Had a semi awkward experience with one of the cashiers. Not sure if it was just his personality and trying to be conversational but I got really offended by one of his comments which stereotyped my dog due to her breed ie biting ppl and I should be careful she doesn’t become aggressive. All because I told him not to pet my dog for training purposes. I found it to be a roll of the dice with some of the employees at this location lately. Overall the selection is small and some of the items are overpriced. Use to love this store and it’s employees but I don’t need that negativity. Plus pet-smart has a larger selection of items and I’m always treated with respect.

I made a grooming appointment for my Maltipoo here with Tess. He was long overdue for a grooming, very grown out and she made him perfect again. Great customer service, did exactly what I wanted and he looks happy! Thank you.

This place closes hours early because they don’t have enough staff. It’s happened enough times this year for me to advise against going there unless you’re able to get there early in the day. Change your posted hours if you’re not able to stay open regularly please…or hire more people. so inconvenient

Jose is amazing! He spent time helping me and my pup. My fur baby is too young to be put on the ground outside our house so I had to carry her around the store, and Jose was so helpful going through products for me and carrying them over to a safe counter for me and my pup to use. He was so nice the whole time as I tried different products to see what would work for my pup. He also efficiently handled helping me while taking care of the check out line. I'm so impressed! I'll definitely be coming back to this store for future pet needs. Thanks Jose!!

KRISTINA the manager was great. Gave me a on-line price on my leash!! Not in the store. Customer service USE TO BE GREAT, bit started to really slide. I talked with KRISTINA about the lack of customer care service. SHE WAS VERY RECEPTIVE. She said she would look into it.

Well today was my first time going back into this specific Petco since August. I called the store and spoke with Amanda the manger,, I wanted to make sure they actually had what I needed, because I've been told by different workers before that something was in and I'd drive in 10 mins later to find out never ad it. Jose was the reason I am giving a 10. His customer service was personable, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and he answered every question myself and my 7 year old daughter asked him. We will definitely go back. We were there for like an hour and in that time we observed that the entire staff was very helpful and patient.

I called before coming in and they wrote very helpful. They had all the items I needed to make a car trip with my kitty. I was glad I went with their recommended items. It made the trip much easier for both of us. Kitty wasn't happy, but she was very comfortable in a larger carrier.

Store has everything my Furr Babies need. Your staffing is excellent. Love the girls in the grooming. Always friendly and great with my babies. The young man at the register was polite and very helpful. Greatly appreciate when I can walk in and ask questions about your items and staff knows exactly what I need. Needed puppy food. This place had a limited selection for puppies but was glad it was nearby.Lots of choices of foods, toys, clothes anything you think you might need for your pet.Lots of parking & outstanding staff.
