Poor Customer Service! Associates are not trained how to provide Good Customer Service to their clients. When they open a new register they don't take the time to get the next Customer in line. When I ask one of the Associates for her name, she refused, when I asked for the manager's name she didn't want to disclosed. It's very sad that because it's a 99 cents store Customer service is not their priority!

Everything is way over 99¢. Products are cheap and poor quality. The store is run down and dirty.You can buy better quality goods at a thrift store for the same price. And you can get better deals on food elsewhere. I do not recommend shopping here.

Young woman cashier was totally nice to me and my son as we hurried last-minute to buy candy Halloween night. She even complimented my Indiana Jones Halloween outfit. Very patient and sweet, even when the credit card machine was slow. I wish everyone in Santa Maria showed this kind of friendly customer service. It would make the world a better place.

Be careful on the prices of what you buy, different prices for all items: food, health/ cleaning products, etc (not all $1.25). I belive the place is overstocked, between isles overflowing with products. Store is cleaner than ever before, suprised to find brand name products.

The customer service was great there the girl asked me how I was and if I found it everything I needed. They have a lot of juice from a variety of wrapping bags cards at a reasonable price. They even had Honey Bunch cereal for 1.99 for the Post Cereal big size great price

A messy store because of the public. Its always a very uncomfortable experience at this store. There is not very good customer service. They are actually very rude at the cashiers checking out. Discussing amongst themselves back and forth personal stuff not paying attention to the work of it all. Sorry my review is not a very pleasant one for this store. Thank you anyway.

Just love the 99 cent store. Only because of the 99 cent store we can survive the whole month . we are on a fixed income and are able to have name brand food and toiletries and trash bags etc. Befor the o9 cent store we were hit n miss (mostly miss ) when we had full meals. Now we can eat and feed our pets even get desert once in a while. I'm GRATEFUL for this store. You have made my life better. Thank you. Sincerly LISA Evans

Experience was okay but it bothers me to no end that the name is "99 cents only" yet more than half the items in the store are well over a dollar. How is it not false advertising to call a store "99 cents only" yet most of the store is $3 to $8.99? How is it any different from having a place called "Only Vegan" yet more than half the food is pork? The chain just needs to change its name.

I mean who doesn't love a good deal. I love the 99cent store, but i have been going to the dollar store more than here because of the name. The name says 99cent store ONLY. This is not true. Many things are 1.99 and up. The dollar tree is ALL one dollar except for maybe a few things being 1.08 which is only 8 cents. The dollar tree also doesn't advertise dollar only when the 99 cent store does advertise one dollar only. This pisses me off. Its an okay store.

Cashier pushed my item to the side before I can finish baging them. When I got home I realize that some of my items were missing. Went back to the store and the manager said she would have to look at the camara before she can give me the items that I was missing. Witch would take a week before she can do anything about it. Did I mention that it was 2 items out of 60 dollar purchase.

No wipes no hand sanitizer and no one wiping the carts down!!! Why they have an employee standing by the front door just amazes me! Like can she at least disinfect the air with Lysol? That whole store was not even aware that we have a pandemic situation going on ...smh

Decent parking. Busy but not overwhelmingly so. Store seems organized, clean and stocked. Find surprising things (2 yds of satin, little boys' pants).

Nice dollar store, big seasonal section and they have fresh fruits and veggies. There are items for more than a dollar so if you see something extra nice make sure and check the price!

Good product and packaged food for inexpensive prices. Save money! Instead of buying at grocery stores, go to 99C Store first! :)

It is what you'd expect. Watch out for thing that aren't actually a good buy. You mat be able to get it cheaper from a regular store.
