This is the ONLY place I will make any purchases when it comes to my Boomer. The store is always so welcoming, well stocked, clean, organized, and the most friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cara, Jim and Kristina have been nothing short of incredible whenever I have any questions in regards to particular food/treat or toy options. Boomer is my fur baby, and his health and wellness usually come before mine, so I can confidently say I trust any and all of their suggestions! I usually do not put the time to put reviews, but I can write a whole essay about her. She is amazing and EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! 1000/10 stars. She knows her information extremely well about dogs. Oh, oh, oh, oh and OH!!!! Fantastic experience. I'm a member of our local (Santa Clarita, California) branch of PFLAG, and since this is PRIDE MONTH, we've been throwing events here and there for not only our LGBTQIA+ sisters and brothers, but also straight people (such as I, an ally), to celebrate! So on THIS special day, the lovely and wonderful ladies at Protein for Pets (companion animals, since I resent them) asked to be a part of Pride Month. You BET!What they did was well beyond remarkable! First off, they had all sorts of amazing props for all the visiting dogs (small and gigantic). There were rainbow scarves to tie around their necks, and there were loads of others things to wear or to pose by, selected by their humans. Then, out the door they would go, and they would stand in front of a really cool backdrop.Out would come the cameras, and then the store manager/owner (I've already forgotten both her name and her actual position, which is really embarrassing, considering what a darling she was) would come out with the whole REASON for the party... are you ready for THIS?Yep, yep, yep! She would put down in front of each dog A DOGGY ICE CREAM SUNDEA!!!! WOW, people! The dog(s) would go bonkers! [Now, mind you, she wouldn't serve them HUMAN ice cream, of course, but the dish was sundae-shaped, and there were layers of yummy goodies for each dog to go crazy over!] I'm telling you... there was so much laughter going on outside of that spotless, well-stocked shop! The dogs were totally knocked out from joy! Sometimes the humans needed to hold their little cuties, and the sweet owner would then take oh, I don't know, hundreds (?) of photos of that puppy, dog, elder! Remarkable!Fun and funny as can be!I was so close to thinking about running down to one of our nearby pounds (Veronica's East Valley shelter, in Van Nuys), would have been my first stop, to be sure) after we closed up for the afternoon, because I was flooded with good memories of many rescues in my past, rescues whom I either fostered or gave in and adopted.So Pride Month was a big hit, as Protein for Pets was only ONE super-duper, outstandingly great event to honor everyone who's part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and whom we're hoping will become far more accepted here in Santa Clariita.THANK YOU SO MUCH, PROTEIN FOR PETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Love,Susie

I was around the area and yelped a place for dog food, the good stuffLuckily this place was in the plaza across from the Valencia mallThe one flavor I asked for they didn't have, but they did carry the brand which is great.hahahaha.They have all the other flavors just not the one my dog liked, the girl said they were trying to carry that one but it would be in until way later :( lolIt's okMy dog also like the wild something food with the wolf on the front.I bought him the bison flavored one.It's unfortunate they don't offer sample vas of anything.But!! They do take returns 1/2 empty if your dog does not like the food.So that's goodA lot of waiting when it's business though
