Well, first of all…. Awful, horrible customer service from the pharmacy dept. I walked in and went to the back and thank goodness there was no customers standing in line or waiting for their medicines so I was standing near the counter where the register is at (sign says pick up) waiting to be helped. 5 minutes passes by and finally the pharmacist acknowledges me and says, “someone will be there.” Then, another 5 minutes passes by and still no help by this time there were customers waiting in line. Finally! the pharmacist who said that someone was going to help me……..decides to actually help me! Ironic! When I asked her a question about the new medication I was picking up which was Meloxicam 15mg if it was safe to take while breastfeeding her response was, “well, what did your doctor tell you?” Hhmm I answered, “well, he said it was safe but I would like to double check with you” her response was, “well if your doctor says it’s fine then he should know better.” Hhmmm, I thought to myself … yes… he would know better but… what is exactly a pharmacist supposed to do? Are they there to provide information about medicines? Did they go to school for this? What are they good for besides having an attitude and God forbid if you ask them a question because you’re bothering them! I mean she’s NOT prescribing the medication or giving her personal opinion but as a pharmacist she did study medicine, right???? I understand there’s a bunch of medicines out there and it’s hard to keep track of them but she is the pharmacist and she should’ve looked up the information I needed. If she did not have the time in that moment, she should’ve said something. I could’ve waited. I do not understand why a pharmacist would be this way. For that reason I would not recommend CVS pharmacy and as soon as I change my health insurance, I am changing pharmacy as well. This is not the first time this happens. CVS needs to make drastic changes and have the pharmacist do their actual job. They sure get a nice hourly rate so…. have them do what they are meant to do! ‘Cause the way it’s going………..soon CVS will end up like Rite-Aid. So sad!
