👏🙌👏 Team !!This was the first time we ordered catering and we were crazy about the butternut squash, salmon was excellent that I poached in rosé, and the mashed potatoes were nice and creamy!!You deserve recognition that was no small feat pulling off so many orders.

The layout of the store is so weird and difficult to navigate, especially with the small aisles and rude customers. Their deli is okay, but not a lot of vegetarian options and the salad bar can be a mess. Their sushi is a hit or miss, for example today my sushi was falling apart. As for the staff, eh, some of them come off rude and like you're inconveniencing them. Not my favorite store in this area and the prices are ridiculous but they do have products you won't see at places like Ralph's or Vons.

I don't always go to Whole Foods, but when I do, I normally go there with a purpose. Santa Barbara Whole Foods is wonderful. However, this time, the workers there seemed disinterested in helping me. They were somewhat rude except for one of the workers. I will go back, but I just expect the old way they had their customer service

First time coming to this location, I'm used to the Whole Foods Market located in Glendale, CA so I was expecting to find ribs and brisket in the hot food area but I didn't find any. I came by around 5:00 PM (04/15/2024) and the section was already empty. (***Update: Came a second time 04/16/2024 at 4:20 PM hoping to find what I was looking for the day before and was disappointed yet again. The pulled pork, ribs and brisket section was empty again. It seems you have to make reservations to buy ribs, pulled pork and brisket in Whole Foods Market in these parts of CA).The one in Glendale, CA most of the times has that food section full and available at any hour of the day.I had to eat something else, luckily the rest of the food was pretty good. Would have left a 5 star rating if they had what I was looking for. You guys would be making more profits if you pay more attention to that area of your store. (***04/16/2024 UPDATE: ONE OF MY NEW GOALS IN LIFE IS TO ONE DAY BE ABLE TO BUY ALL THE PULLED PORK, RIBS AND BRISKET IN THE PREPARED HOT FOOD AREA AND LEAVE ALL THE LOCAL CUSTOMERS OF THIS WHOLE FOODS MARKET OUT OF BEING ABLE TO GET SOME. IT IS A FACT THAT RICH PEOPLE LIKE TO GATEKEEP EVERYTHING EVEN FOOD).

I feel like Whole Foods is not as good now that Amazon owns it. In some ways it is more posh and efficient. But in other ways is not. I remember when I could walk in a grab a 30 pound bag of organic carrots for super cheap and juice them myself. Nothing like that exist anymore for a decade now.

It just took 30 minutes for someone to make two smoothies. They weren't busy. It was just absurd. I watched them wander through the store to get produce they didn't use on our drinks. I really do not understand the complete lack of urgency that would result in it taking half an hour to make a smoothie.

Whole foods has unique offerings, good meats, very good fish, but rather (for Santa Barbara) poor produce. I like the store, but dislike parking... Seems like every BMW, Lexus, and Honda SUV driver goes here and they all have to be first. I usually park as far from store entrance as possible and walk carefully to store.

Stopped here many times for breakfast, this is NOT a breakfast burrito. At 9am the hot breakfast bar was near empty, so I went pre made burrito

The best quality grocery store I have been to. Organic section is amazing. The compromise is that prices go to the roof. After whole foods were purchased by Amazon, you may be able to use your Amazon prime account for some discount. yellow and blue labels give you 10% and ~40% off. But you have to install the whole foods app on your cellphone.

Here's an update to my earlier review. See that photo of the plastic wrapper. I wasn't that surprised to learn that WF has decided to wrap up its cookies in plastic. In a world where human beings now have microplastics coursing through their veins, I wonder why the company decided to adopt this most unsustainable practice. This may seem petty, but multiply that wrapper times the thousands of other cookies sold in its 500 + stores in the US and I think you get the picture. BTW the cookie, with its 30 or so ingredients was meh. Now I can contribute to our landfills thanks to Whole Foods. In my view, the purchase of WF by Amazon, helped lower prices. Unfortunately, it also helped lower the quality of the food, especially the hot and prepared food options. "Whole Foods" is often equated with healthy food, but take one look at that hot bar with its gloppy mac and cheese and greasy taco meat and the many other horrendously greasy and fattening items and you realize just how poor the quality of the food is. Sure, WF tries to compensate by offering lots of veggie dishes but these are almost equally dreadful. Not only are these items frequently OVER and UNDER cooked they suffer from a true lack of inspiration--not to mention CUTTING THE VEGETABLES IN CONSISTENT BITE-SIZED CHUNK so they cook properly. And would it kill WF's bottom line to change things up a little? Day after day, week after week, it's always the same, especially in the hot food area. I wonder if the chefs are aware of the great cuisines of the world. Apparently not. And what's with all the canola oil. Read the label on virtually any prepared food item and you'll see how much canola oil is used. I've gone on enough, but I'm sure others can relate.

The grocery section was ok, I've been in much bigger Whole Foods with more selections. The hot foods area was not up to standard at all. Pans were empty or what was available was dried, crusty, very unappetizing. Personally, I would not shop there.

The store was very small and the isles were pretty close together. It was very busy and some people were very rude and walking into us. The staff at checkout were kind and very sweet, the store could definitely benefit from hiring more clerks though as the lines got very long quickly.

I used to live in California where we had a local Whole Foods store. I was so upset when I moved to Montgomery to see they didn’t have one, but so excited when they finally opened one! You’d be surprised how much cheaper it is to buy from this store than your local grocery store, and the quality of their goods is excellent. Now that Amazon owns them and you have food delivered to your home, and order online, it’s even better. I especially like their skincare and soaps.

I don't like to shop here as I once did. The place is a mess. I even had to climb up on the shelves to reach products that are shoved to the back. I'm 5'5" and nearly 70 but it appears there are not enough staff, so it's fend for yourself? Or is it too many shoppers?Since the redesign seems quality is taking a backseat. Disappointing. Too many non-organic non-additives products appearing in the store sections. And the same problem everywhere, produce looks beautiful but can lack taste and vibrancy.I'll still shop occasionally, stumble around looking for things and hope the store calms down and improves.

Decent natural market, but pricey. Spotty selection of organic foods (2 bags of organic potato chips amidst 200 non organic). They do carry good quality and reasonably priced fresh organic pork, which Lazy Acres does not, and is the main reason we sometimes shop at Whole Foods. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, but not easy to find.

Outstanding grocery store with pay-by-the-pound soup & salad bar, lunch & dinner bar (hot meals to-go), cookie/gourmet pretzel bar. Fresh seafood, fish, meat, and fantastic selection of top-quality produce.

Small Whole Foods that is dog friendly? I don't understand why people think it's okay to bring dogs into grocery stores but that where we are as a society. The fact that Whole Foods employees encourage the behavior is a bit upsetting. I am dog lover, but recognize that some people are allergic and others are afraid of dogs (two reasons why we have laws limiting where you can bring your pet). The employees of Whole Foods seems more interested in talking with the woman and petting her puppy while it rides around in a shopping cart where other put food. This dog was a obvious puppy with no collar no leash no tags, who knows what kind of fleas and ticks might now be in the produce section????

This store is well stocked. The true gem of this particular store are the employees. Everyone that I contacted was professional and helpful. Steve in produce went above and beyond with his assistance. All of the staff I contacted(and there were several) demonstrated outstanding customer service skills. My only regret was I did not obtain the names of each one of them. Thank you for being so patient and helpful.

I'm so glad there's a WF in SB! I like going here to get my produce, smoothies, and pre-made meals. The store is clean, and the employees are knowledgeable. The store is smaller than what I'm used to, so the check-out area can get a bit crowded. However, that's my only "complaint" – everything else is great!

This store is not clean and not well ventilated. Horrible hot food bar. You can smell spoiled chicken miles away. Poor meat selections. Prices are higher compared to other Wholefoods.

It's a Whole Foods. The store is easy to maneuver and the service is solid. They have a great selection of prepared foods and each of the departments are neat and clean. I find stuff easily enough and the prices are getting competitive. The fresh cut flowers are displayed and put together well. The parking is a little wonky and always watch out for the calltext while walking customers when driving in and out. Pushed this from 4 to 5 stars because they added self checkout.

What food is fantastic place for certain items by being selective and choosing what you need to buy at the right price. It can be actually a saver and certain instances. Also, the selection of the produce are pretty good and relatively fresh overall. I think it's a good place to have in conjunction with trader. Joe

I always stop here when going to Solvang. I love their food bar and there is hardly ever a long line. They also have self checkout which I love.
