My dog (Riley!) loves the staff at Dioji in downtown Santa Barbara. She’s a people dog, and the crew at Dioji give her plenty of attention and affection, while encouraging her socialization with the other dogs. I’m so grateful for this wonderful resource for my pup.

I am never sure of whether my two dogs enjoy going there. They are not consistent with providing report cards or pictures. The past 4 times I have taken my dogs they have not provided a report card. Staff has also been extremely vague about how my dogs’ days went and there have been times when I stop by to check on them and have not seen them in the yard for 10+ minutes but I have never received reports of my dogs needing to be put in a crate for time out so I find this worrisome. Lastly, it does not seem like they provide water to the dogs. When my guys get home they seem to rush to the water and drink a gallon straight. It seems quite dangerous for dogs to be exerting themselves and playing outside without being provided water. Overall, I have very mixed feelings. Initially I felt a lot better about their communication/transparency and consistency. It seems to have gone down hill. Their play areas have also become more and more fenced off and smaller. Some employees seem annoyed by the dogs. I am definitely going to be testing out other daycares in the area.

My one-year-old Aussie absolutely adores this place, and so do I. From the moment we walk in, the staff greets us with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel like family.The facilities are top-notch, with spacious play areas that are clean and comfortable, and even a swimming pool (my little man’s favorite) for the pups to cool off in during hot days. I love that they prioritize safety, with trained staff supervising playtime and ensuring all dogs get along.What truly sets Dioji apart is their genuine love for dogs. They pay attention to each dog's unique needs and personality, providing personalized care and attention. It's evident they care about the well-being of every furry guest. I always feel calm knowing my dog is in great hands.The daily report cards and photos they send are a delightful touch, allowing me to see my pup having a blast with new friends. Dioji's flexible hours make it easy for me to drop off and pick up my pup, and their pricing is reasonable for the exceptional service they provide.I wholeheartedly recommend Dioji Dog Day Care to any dog owner looking for a safe, fun, and loving environment for their furry family member. I couldn't be happier with the care they provide!

Highly recommend this place for daycare and boarding! My husband I found ourselves in a pinch when our dog care plans for a long weekend fell through last minute. The staff was incredibly kind and empathetic of our predicament, and they were able to accommodate 3 days of boarding for our two dogs with essentially zero notice. The facility is also extremely clean and secure, and the overnight setup seems so fun for the pups -- it's like a giant slumber party!

My dog cannot wait to get to Dioji in the morning! He has so much fun and comes back tired :) the staff are plentiful and friendly and the facilities are clean and fantastic. Highly recommend.

I pick up a dog from there. The dog is always so misbehaved after time there. When I watch the dog, it is so much more well behaved. I Get the feeling there is not a lot of one on one contact. Just crazy open dog play. I reached out to them because I referred my own clients there but they never responded. Also, their food prices are atrociously high I saw a bag of dry chicken for $144. And freeze dried 3 ounce bag for $14. I just got a two pound bag from Costco for $8

Dioji SB is so fantastic and everyone has just been fabulous with my Australian shepherd Scarlet. She has been a handful and I trust all of the staff with her, they are truly a gem in our lives. Thank you Dioji!!

All I have to do is say "Dioji" and my dog goes nuts. She just adores her time there. The staff is amazing. They treat your dogs like he/she is their pet. I can't say enough about Dioji.

Had a great experience boarding my pup here. I drove in from out of town and went through the first-time board process where they watch your dog for a period of time to ensure the dog assimilates well with the group. Dioji communicated really well leading up to drop off which I appreciated so I understood the check in process, vax requirements, etc. First time boarders were provided a complimentary bath. Seemed like my pup had a fun time and they have a nice space for play and lots of dog fun. Would definitely return here.

I started bringing my 4 month old puppy there and it has been the best ever for us both. He is thrilled to be there and runs in to the office. I work from home and I love the idea that Hayden can be with friends a few days a week. He comes home happy and tired. A huge perk is that you don't need reservations and can drop off any day at any time. That has been a great asset to me for spontaneous changes in my coaching client schedule.The staff are consistent and good at answering any questions and encourage check ins during the day. There are people in with the dogs at all times and they have a good walkie talkie system.One day I talked to one of the staff more in depth; she is a college student and ended up working at Dioji as an experiment. However now she loves it in part because "The owners are really nice people". That kind of good management trickles down into the water bowls.One other point to note: Last week I was picking up my dog, and heard the staff talking to a pet owner stating that they didn't think their dog was a good match for Dioji at this time. They do vet (pun intended) the dogs that come in and that was infinitely reassuring. To be able to say no in any profession is important.Don't worry - your dog will be fine at Dioji.

Place is nice. Staff is incompetent. I emailed them my dogs vaccines. Then I called before dropping him off to ensure everything is OK. Manager of the business took my call and said everything is up to date and he is good to go. I get there and they say they don't have any current vaccines and they need influenza (not state mandatory) bc some dogs in LA got canine flu. Incompetent staff, wasted my time and lost my business.

Great staff and well-kept location. They offer many services which is great when I have one of those really busy work days or weeks. My dog loves coming here and always comes home pooped, which is something considering she's a husky. When we return she's always pulling at the leash to go inside! I highly recommend this place.

Great place! We dropped our dog Milo off for the day while we did some biking in Santa Barbara. Our guy did not want to leave. Safe, clean facility with a friendly staff and a pool. Very easy to get our dog evaluated and signed up even with COVID related procedures in place. Will definitely use Dioji next time we’re in town.

LOVE the staff. They are all dog lovers and so sweet to your dog and you! They also snap photos from time to time and send them to you so you can see all the fun your pup is having. Very easy drop off and pick up. Our pup is so tired after a day of play at Dioji!!

What a wonderful place. Our dog gets so excited when he's told he's going to Dioji. The staff is wonderful, remembering him by name even after long absences. They time the bathing so that he's clean and fluffy at pickup but not so soon that he misses any fun. He gets home happy but tired. A treat for us all!

We took our dog here for doggie daycare on a Saturday so we could hang out downtown for the day without feeling guilty our pup was locked inside all day. Everything about the experience was great. Our dog loved socializing and being outside all day. The evaluation period was quick and simple. Be sure to get back before 5pm on Saturdays as they close a little earlier than they do during the week. If not, they transport your dog over to the Goleta location to board for the evening. (They are really good about reminding you of the closing time though.) 10/10 would recommend and we will be back to Dioji each time we visit Santa Barbara.

Great place for dog daycare, super helpful staff and very little hassle as a new customer. My pup had a great time and was exhausted after playing all day, and they sent me some pics of him throughout the day that I appreciated. facilities seemed very nice and well kept.

My wife had her dog stay here a few days while we visited the Santa Barbara area. This place is AWESOME.. it’s like a resort for dogs and my wife was very pleased with the whole experience & from what her pup says she seemed to have enjoyed her stay here too.Mind you it is a little pricey but worth it.
