We are so lucky we found Your Do Trainer! What a wonderful place to board your dog. Our neighbor highly recommended boarding Dakota at Your Dog Trainer about eight years ago. Since then, we have been boarding her there for many trips. We have always been pleased when we pick Dakota up after a trip, because you can always tell she has been well cared and that she had a great time!

The best boarding and training place! I took their classes and it really made a difference in my dog’s behavior. I also take my dog boarding and get groomed there. All the staff are friendly and responsible, she absolutely loves everyone there.

Evo turned my rescue around. We were at a breaking point, my pomski was possessive, aggressive, sleep aggression, and just straight up scary because you just didn't know what to expect out of her. With consistent training and boarding Phoebe became a new dog who listens well and is so loving and playful. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Your Dog Trainer is amazing, I love everything about it. My father in law referred us to this training facility/daycare/board and train for our 7 month old golden doodle “Crazy Daisy”. Not only did she come back from for 25 board n train amazing, she also came back her loving and spunky self. The owner, Roger, took in daisy and treated like his own and just loved her every step of the way. We can’t wait to bring our girl back in for daycare and visit our new family and maybe even bring in a future dog. 10/10 I would recommend this place!! Thank you Roger and Your dog trainer team!

These guys are phenomenal. Not only they took my dog in on a very short notice, but they treated him with extraordinary love and care. My dog has separation anxiety, but the team took such a good care of him, that he was a happy camper during his entire stay. They provided feedback on how he was doing, gave him complimentary bath and even gave him a present to go home with. They are very reasonably priced, gave great amenities, green fenced area for dogs to play, etc. They also have training services which i will definitely use. Highly recommend! Your Dog Trainer is simply the best!!!

Our family adopted a very fearful and aggressive dog. The rescue shared this with us and we knew we wanted to help this dog. Roger worked with us to train our dog to build his confidence and become a great family member! We are so happy this adoption worked out. GREAT EXPERIENCE!Roger was recommended to me by the hospital manager at my vet’s. My dog had been neglected and abused and once I rescued him he was overly protective. He is big and fear aggressive with people and dogs. Over eight weeks,2 half hours per week, Roger has worked miracles! He taught me about being in charge without punishing, in control but not negative. My dog is so much better behaved and will get better as long as I keep up the training and consistency. He is a little like a drill sergeant but not intimidating-he just cares about you really “getting” it. I can’t rave enough!

Roger took my crazy rescue pup and made her into a dog I could walk without fear. Before she was trained I always had to worry about wrestling her into submission if we ran into another dog. I no longer have that worry. She is mannered and a pleasure to walk. We are still carrying through with her training and commands she learned. Roger actually saved this pup because I didn’t think I could ever deal with her. She’s a great pet! Thank you for all your work with Sasha!!!!!

Roger, the principal trainer at My Dog Trainer, has worked patiently with me and my 3-yr old husky for 5 sessions so far, and I feel like I have a different (better) dog! Importantly, I think the process is more about training ME, and Roger has been clear and patient. He teaches me what to do and then Shiloh and I practice during the week. Shiloh now pays close attention to what I want her to do and her unpredictable aggressive behavior toward other dogs has toned down significantly ~ I think because she is more occupied with how I want her to behave ~ though she’s now more reserved when I’m not around too. We still have more to learn and I really needed to dedicate time to reinforcing good behavior with Shiloh, but it’s paying off. My stubborn, unpredictable, bossy fuzzy-butt seems much happier too. She’s very pleased when she does something right and is praised. I’ve worked with other good trainers, but Roger is the only one who seemed to really connect the dots for Shiloh and me. He’s very nice, super flexible with times, and Shiloh loves to see him!

There is nothing in orange county that can hold a candle to this place. They have the best personal. These aren't high school kids with a summer jobs. They have a super experienced, professional trained staff. A great facility, and you can not only see but feel their passion and love they have for all their animals. Been going there since 1995. Currently I have two very large and getting larger Puppies that are there for training. After a few sessions I can't believe the transformation in their obedience. My Sheltie loves YDT, therefore so do I. Lucky is a double rescue and was extremely shy. Circumstances came about that he needed to be kenneled for long periods of time a couple times a year. Tho he was not in need of obedience training I questioned whether they would be ableto give him extra socialization with both dogs and humans. He has improved tremendously, like a different dog and I give the credit to Roger and his team. Lucky was always a great dog now he is nearly perfect. The best part is I know his is really loved there and taken care of in sure good hands at YOUR DOG TRAINER.

Outstanding TrainingMy vet strongly recommended that I seek training for my six months Doberman puppy with Roger Bortz- at Your Dog Trainer, when I shared my negative experience with our prior trainer whose charges were exceedingly high while her capacity to shape behavior and revise the training plan accordingly was non-existent. I should note that one recipe for all does not work, particularly when it comes to certain breeds!Roger worked closely with my Dobie and me for several weeks. He taught me how to train him and address his needs for exercise, love, and attention. After a few sessions, I knew we were in great/trustworthy hands. My big energetic puppy was following commands and becoming more responsive during walks and outings. Our Dobie is motivated to learn and continues to excel due to his expertise and commitment. Thank you Roger Bortz, nobody does it better!

I called this place for information, they had me on hold for more than 15 minutes. I hung up and called back. Person speaking took my information and said they would call me back. I waited for call back. No luck! I called back next day, spoke to a different lady, once again, taking my information and promising to call me back. I received no call back so I called again. This person said, I can take your dog but not your cat. I said that is fine. She suddenly said, please hold! We get disconnected! I call back and get a Male. His remarks are: yes, we no longer take cats but you are booked for your dog. I said ok, I will just bring my dog. He asks me, what kind of dog is it? I said, it's a Pitbull. He quickly dismisses me by saying: you know your dog is too big, we are overcrowded and I am so sorry. I am in pure shock! How unprofessional my experience with customer care! If this is how you treat people. How well would my dog be cared for at your place of business? Shame on you!

The staff there really cares about the dogs. They are dog people who work hard to care for each and every pup boarded with them. This is a kennel where dogs are boarded, not a "resort" for dogs. Dogs can be dogs here.
