They are also knowledgeable about what they carry in store. I also buy all my Xmas lights there. They have good quality lights, and a good supply.

I bought a Weber BBQ today from Ace Hardware (Tustin/Santa Clara) and one of the pieces did not have a proper hole drilled to complete the assembly. I called 15 min before store was closing and they said I can bring all the pieces back and they will swap out with the floor model already assembled. We arrived just as they were closing and the Ace team (who literally treat you like a family member) were waiting for us at the door and helped us unload and load in minutes. This is why we love love Ace Hardware and the caring people who work there, this was not the first time they exceeded our expectations!!! Thank you Ace Hardware, we were able to bbq the same night as we had planned, you guys are all super stars.

Purchased folding door track system long distance within the last 60 days based on website.These folks are knowledgeable and patient. They are willing to explain the product, and share website photos, diagrams and other information to ensure the correct purchase. My experience purchasing an expensive folding door track system was very positive. Dave and Ron were particularly helpful. Delivery was good as well.

Staff was helpful, as always. I was looking for catch-and-release mouse traps. They had plenty that kill mice but not the humane ones I was looking for. While I typically go to Ace first because I prefer supporting the little guy, I probably end up having to go to Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon 5 out of 10 times to find what I'm looking for.

I was recently reminded again why Ace (Woodward) Hardware store on Tustin Ave near Santa Clara St and 17th St is the best! I needed a deadbolt and new matching door knob. After looking at the boring options at a familiar big box store, I decided to check out my local Ace Hardware store where I always get great advice and service. I was blessed to find Tareq working that day who quickly realized I was likely going to make some mistakes with the choices I was considering. He explained why an upscale 100% brass option (eventually settled on the Baldwin) was a far better choice for my original front door and its unique door ornament.A few days later I removed the door ornament and took it into the store, but ending up talking with Jason since Tareq had the day off. Jason took the project to another level altogether by asking if he could try to remove some of the 60 years of accumulated tarnish and grime from the ornament, “because this is something I enjoy doing on my spare time.” Talk about incredible, surprising service. Needless to say, after having someone install the deadbolt, beautiful new door knob, and the newly refurbished door ornament, the front of the house sparkles.More generally, every time I go to this Ace Hardware store the associates are so knowledgeable and helpful. Long live these local hardware stores! I like the Big Boxes too, but they really can’t compared to the knowledge and personal touch of our local hardware stores. Please support them whenever you can. And thanks again Tareq and Jason for one of my most memorable summer highlights. I look forward to your assistance with the next project!

This is an amazing Ace Hardware. They have a very large selection of door locks and door handles. Ron is an expert on door hardware and he seems to have the ability to find exactly what you need. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. Great place for all your needs.

This store is so much nicer than the larger chain stores. All the employees are friendly and helpful. You never have to hunt somebody down to find an item. They are right there and take you to your item.

Great customer service. They usually have someone greet you at the door and direct you to the item you are looking for.They have a pretty good selection, considering that they are fairly small compared to other hardware stores. I prefer to start my search here, so that I'm not wandering for 20 minutes around Lowe's or Home Depot looking for a clerk who knows where something is.

These people have the best customer service for even pre-Covid standards! This Father’s Day my husband finally decided to use the Traeger I bought for him for Christmas. He was getting very frustrated because he couldn’t figure it out. They went above and beyond to walk him through it, and make this an awesome day! We will make it a priority to shop there even though it is a little further away for us.

Great service from Ace Hardware, where I have shopped for decades. Ron, in the doors and locks department, gave me options when replacing door hardware.Ron also confirmed that the 7 month old, Kwikset, deadbolt I had brought in for evaluation, was defective, as the C-clip, that holds the "D" rod that engages the actual deadbolt, was way out of it's snapped in position, thereby allowing the key & lock, to spin 360° without retracting the actual deadbolt (nor engaging the "D" rod).

Cashiers ( girls ) almost always selected because they are young and attractive to some. They aren't usually very nice, often almost professional, but not always. The staff inside the store, helpful, 90% ....of the time. It is after all supposed to be the helpful place. Right? The store is well organized. ....it's clean. Easy to park. I wish more of it's product choice was made in North America vs. China.Sometimes the visit is a 5.... sometimes a 2. I'll average them to 4. But, ....it's a close 3.;(Update : 9/13/2023. Woodward's has been sold to a new owner. The new owner - the same person that signed the reply.... Jeff has stated that he has no intention of changing the product sold in the store and it will continue to be things made in China. For that reason I have made the choice to stop any business with Ace Hardware. The reply from the owner was that "he has the right to do what's right for his business and we have the right to shop where we want " - he's 100% correct. I don't want to buy from China - they pollute the globe, they have child labor, they are trying to take over the globe and all of it's resources. Not on my watch. If you believe in Democracy, Rule of Law, and the environment - you can't support Ace - the helpful place until they decide to stop their behaviors. So sad. You can buy anything that Ace has.... in many other places... 0 Stars - Do not Use.

Watch your pockets when purchasing at this store! .... they charged my credit card twice for only one item I had purchased ... nasty lady manager refused to refund the extra charge saying it was not their problem ... now I have to spend hours with credit card company to hopefully get a refund .... they have all these employeessittings around with nothing to do ... you have to interrupt thir conversations to get any help!with
