We travel full time with our 2 girls, so I have taken them to many vets across the US. While many I find are good/great… this place is my very FAVORITE ! I wasn’t expecting much being inside Petco (the other chain I’ve never been happy with). But this place is clean, modern, super nice AND highly competent!! Dr Chang is so great - she is easy to talk to, listens so well & really understands the obnoxious dog mom/fur baby relations 😊 It really makes a difference when a vet listens and figures it out with you. She is really exceptional! They also have a super great processes unlike any vet I’ve been to! It’s pretty impressive. Payment/records/appointments are all done through a text system. I highly recommend them!

Never take your dog here, literally steal your money. Came in for a checkup and Veterinarian didn't even fully check my dog. When I got results from Urine test I wasn't provided with any treatment or recommendation like if I had a clue what to do with diagnosis. So unprofessional, and not worth the dollar.

I used to come here often when Dr Coffee worked here and they were Thrive. She was amazing and very caring with my animals. My most recent experience was with a different vet and she was not so amazing. She was very rude and unprofessional and didn’t actually take care of any of the concerns I had with my fur babies. She dismissed most of them and made rude comments about my animals. Won’t be coming back to Vetco any longer.

Fantastic experience for me and my pup!! This review is very long overdue but back in September my sweet pup Sofia was having some intestinal issues I worried was a blockage. Dr. Coffey and her entire team were so kind and patient w my very anxious dog. They also calmed my nerves about her condition and took all the steps needed to help her recover. It was mostly dehydration (during that intense heat wave!) and possibly a stomach bug. She got IV treatment and antibiotics and was better very soon after. The team even called us to check in a day later. I cannot overstate how incredible & caring everyone was, giving Sofia the love and professional attention she needed! Would not hesitate to recommend this location and will definitely be seeing Dr. Coffey as our full time vet now. Thank you all again!

The customer service was excellent! I was late and they still helped me when they had back to back appointments. The one at the front desk with black hair and she’s young, like in her twenties. She has great skills and I told her that. All the ladies there were so sweet.

This was our first visit to Thrive Vet Care. My dog, Max, was having arthritic pain and needed to get another prescription, and we also wanted to determine the best course of action for some teeth cleaning. The entire visit was such a calming visit for both of us. Max was made very comfortable, and they provided a cozy bathmat for him to sit on for the visit, instead of the cold metal.They also hung a little chalkboard with his name on it on the door. These touches, while quite simple, are very nice and appreciated. The overall care of the doctor and his team was very caring and supportive both during the visit and in the follow-up call. The only downside one might experience is in being able to immediately obtain the medicines. The pharmacy is not on-site, but the mail order delivery is very quick, and we received the prescriptions with door service a full day earlier than anticipated.We highly recommend Thrive Vet Care for its affordability and the value of the services provided! Thanks so much! 4 paws!!

Updates: They immediately contact me again by phone call and provide a new wellness receipt. recommend place for ur pet!The wellness exam and doctor are nice, but I received a different receipt than I usually get from Vetco care. My insurance company doesn’t reimburse it, I ask Vetco Santa Ana to resend a more detailed professional wellness receipt to my email. Haven’t heard anything back yet.

Dr Coffey and her team are amazing. I had to put my 15-year-old beagle to sleep over two weeks ago and it was the best experience I've ever had in putting one of my animals to sleep. They were kind and caring and considerate and brought out a blanket for my dog to lay on. They gave me some hair shavings to go home with the same day. And then a few weeks after I received a handwritten card from the team telling me how sorry they were for my loss. It was also amazing to be able to pick up his ashes and find a paw print in ink and plaster.. I felt good leaving my baby in their care when I left. I knew they would treat him kindly. A truly amazing experience that I will be sharing with my friends and family and all of you on Google. I've never had an all-female vet team when I've had to put down one of my animals and it makes a big difference. I cannot Thank you enough for making it easier for me. I will never forget you guys.

Actually they were able to connect the prescription food to the Petco store from my primary vet. It makes getting my cat his food in cases of emergency when chewy messes up. Example when chewy accidentally canceled my order instead of orders it faster and my cat was completely out of food, they were going to have to process the order longer than I needed to get it. I think chewy messed up more than once but these guys helped with a back up. I usually prefer to have things delivered but if it's already in store then score I know I'm going to get it. I'm thankful they were able to do that for me.

Our vet had us pay over $300 for a test that wasn’t necessary to our pet’s needs. We were told we’d have a call back last Saturday for blood results but did not hear back. I had to call myself (twice) and didn’t even get to speak to the vet that treated our pet. The vet we spoke to was helpful but still not having the vet we saw to talk to and now having paid for a test we did not need is very frustrating! Our pet is better but he has a chronic issue that does come and go so really not sure we got any help even though we spent a lot of money. We still have not heard back from our original vet to understand why we paid for this particular test. I do not plan on coming back to vetco.

I have a 15 year old lab who is reaching the end of his life. He is mostly healthy, but has trouble getting up because of his arthritis. I let the vets know that I did not want to do anything besides keep him comfortable and prevent his suffering, I just wanted to treat his arthritis and high liver enzymes.However, the veterinarian's I saw constantly tried to sell me. They tried to sell me on aesthetic procedures, on invasive surgeries, and on other procedures that were not within the constraints of my goals with my dog's health, mainly to keep him comfortable and to prevent suffering. I was very upset that they suggested these types of things, considering I took the time to tell them my needs. I don't know any vet at where I go now that would suggest these things to me for my dog, what kind of vet suggests invasive surgeries that require general anesthesia for a 15 year old dog?There is more, unfortunately. When they called me with my test results, instead of speaking to a vet I was familiar with, I spoke to someone who I had never met and had never met my dog. This is when I found out they had barely filled out my dog's chart with any information, because this person suggested I had my 15 year old dog neutered. Considering his age and that he had been neutered way over 10 years ago, this was the final straw for me. I'm just glad I knew better than to say yes to these things.I will not give Thrive another chance. I want to go to a vet who cares about my dog enough to take the time to correctly fill out his chart, and to talk to someone who actually listens to what I want for my dog, instead of the constant selling and near negligent medical advice.

This location was a great experience from start to finish. Our dog Hubert can be anxious and loud at times and the team was so nice and gentle with him. Dr. Camille was great by listening to everything we had to say, walk us through exactly what they were going to do and listened to our concerns. From start to finish I felt that my dog was in good hands and would definitely recommend this vet for anyone's pet.

Such a good place. I have 4 dogs and Ive taken them all to different vets by far this was actually the best one. I was worried about dropping off my dog and not being in the room but after talking to the veterinarian on the phone and the receptionist you can genuinely tell they care about your pet and any concerns you have. They honestly were super friendly and nice and they were super nice to my dog he came out of there like a happy camper. The receptionist also had such a good attitude and was very attentive about everything. I would rate this place a 10 star! The prices were also affordable that was my main concern so I guess you can say my dog and me both walked out as happy campers !!

I took my Dads dog today after my sisters feared about this mass he had growing on his back. I also went to get some sedatives since 4th of July is coming and the dog has extreme anxiety. They were really nice and kind. They listened to what I had to say and were very kind to Hachi. They cleaned him but and gave him some antibiotics. He actually relaxed after a while and even ate the treat that the Vet had given him. The Vet Tech was super kind as well. She explained everything to me step by step. Totally appreciated it and definitely going to bring my dogs here for their check ups. I only spend $146 on the whole thing. Which in my opinion is very cheap compared to what I would be paying at other vets.

Took my dog here for an ear infection and I couldn't be more happy with the team there! They were very accommodating, affordable, fast, and caring. Ingrid was best, she cared for my baby like her own. I will be returning and recommending to others!

It was my first time taking a pet of my own to a vet and I trusted google reviews to come here and was not disappointed! The folks here at thrive were so kind to both my cat and myself, and answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid or silly for asking them. They helped me come up with a great plan to get my cats caught up on their vaccines that is affordable and at a good rate to keep them healthy and I feel reassured knowing that there’s such a great veterinarian practice by us!

I brought my dog here after he started feeling sick. We came a little early for his appt and was conveniently able to charge my car in the parking lot and do some shopping with him at Petco.Once our appt time came around we were assisted promptly by the tech and waited for his test result. The doctor took her time with us and listened to our concerns and answered any questions we had.One of his test results was ready within 10 minutes and the other we had to wait for the next day, which we received through text (very convenient).While they don't offer payment plans, their billing specialist was incredibly kind and understanding and willing to work with us and our budget. We left with medicine in hand and happy to say our dog was feeling much better 2 days later. Thank you so much to everyone at Thrive Santa Ana!

I love all the employees there you can tell they really love & care for the animals they take the time to listen to concerns and more importantly take the extra care an attention with ur pet to solve those concerns i have two 12 wk old french bulldog puppies that ive taken to our local vetco since I brought them home they not only recieved all their puppy vaccines at petco but theyve done their exams given them their flea/tick/heartworm medication monthly they make it easy and something my pups arnt terrified to do! Dozer & crypto are vetco pups for life!

I came shopping in person and asked the cashier for a price override. The cashier then called his shorter lady manager over to have it done and because she felt that the price of 6.99 to 1.99 was too much she really told me to order it for free pickup in store and to come back to pick up the 2 bags if treats. So i said fine, purchased the rest of my items along with 5 large cricket s (that i was going to pick up with my 2 treats that she didnt override). Time passes and i come back for my treat's amd the cricket were not ready! Terrible professionalism and not reliable to have things ready even after sending me off only to RE pick up

I have had my fair share of puppy-mergencies and have dealt with more vets than I care to remember. THRIVE was possibly the most professional and personable vet that I have ever been to. Given all the current challenges, it's even more difficult to trust someone else with my wallet let alone my little girls. However, Dr. Coffey and crew really impressed me and the price didn't kill me either. The first time, Kenai, my sweetheart, left happy which doesn't happen often. The second time, she was all wags and was so excited. As I pulled up, she became overcome with excitement. I was overcome with surprise! A dog that likes the Vet? Anyway, just a shout out to Thrive, Thrive Santa Ana, and most of all, the techs and Dr. Coffey. Kenai appreciates how much you care.

I had a vaccine appointment today at 3:30 pm ,I just arrived 3:36 and 2 lady both rude with and on of them with the angry face they said you pass the 5 minutes policy and they should reschedule my appointment!!Are you serious? Also the told me you came early for vaccine I mean you are just know to seat in the front and do nothing,they should call me earlier and let me know I have time for vaccine and I can come later .and just for 1 minutes you wants to reschedule me?I cannot believe thatBut if we arrive on time We have to wait almost half an hour for the vet .it was a terrible service

Today, January 24th at 11AM my pet Gia had an appointment with the Thrive vet. The vet was good with explaining Gia’s improved condition following a slipped disc in her neck. Unfortunately, the receptionist during this time must receive a negative review for her attitude towards people of color. Due to COVID, you must call to announce you have arrived and wait for the handoff either outside the front door of the Thrive office or behind the roped off Thrive entrance inside the Petco store. There is a sign plainly for all to see...Do Not Enter. A white couple squeezed passed the roped area and proceeded to wander and sit inside the restricted area while myself and another customer (Latina) waited in the proper area. Since going to Thrive during COVID, I’ve NEVER seen a customer beyond the roped area. I asked the receptionist why were they allowed...two people...allowed to walk, wander, sit and wait for her in the area which is designated DO NOT ENTER...while we are expected to wait and not enter the inner area. Her reply, as expected was full of excuses. Never once did she apologize for the misunderstanding...never once did she say she was sorry “we” felt slighted by her actions. She seemed emphatic that she was right. They were allowed because she asked them to come into that area. As a customer, we are due respect, kindness, and thank you for patronizing your store. I will not return to the Santa Ana Thrive. I will return to patronize the Thrive Irvine vet (Dr Ock) and their respectful and courteous staff. I didn’t get the receptionist or assistant name but she worked on January 24th at 11am.

Fixed up my kitties paw after she injured her back paws claw. She had a minor infection and she has been doing well since they treated her. With covid it was over the phone after she was checked in. They were all nice and really helped ease my stress.
