The staff was both very knowledgeable and helpful regarding my questions about aquatic plants. You will find various aquatic plants, fish, shrimp, loaches, just to name a few. Their shrimp are gorgeous vibrant colors 😍 Another thing I love about this store is how well kept their tanks are. This is probably because it is a small fish store so that makes managing each tank a lot easier.

What a great selection of inverts and fish to choose from! The store is clean, organized, and easy to shop. The tanks are super clean and the animals are healthy and lively. After one month they are thriving and multiplying in my tanks. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I live in LA, but willing to make the trek to visit the two best LFS in the OC, Nolans and King Koi. As I acquire more tanks and change up my scapes I will return to Nolans to acquire my livestock and supplies

Always look forward to my visits to Nolans Aquarium. Great selection of healthy fish, African Cichlids, and aquarium plants. Tissue culture plants, frozen foods, flake and pellet foods. Good choice of rimless tanks, and some used tanks. Next trip, Zebra Obliqudens and White lips. Today I got some more plants and a beautiful Santa Claus sword tail. The Scape auction got me some plants, corydora and a koi betta. GreaT day!

Really knowledgeable people and very patient. I always go here after placing a pickup order and they've been great. You can browse the store without anyone staring at you like you're stealing which has happened at other aquatic stores. Also very vast selection. Attached is a picture of a golden mystery snail I got from them recently. All my fish and plants that I get here all come home very alive and I haven't had anything die suddenly. Will keep coming here in the months to come.

Great place to get rare fish and great prices. I got my fish food here and also a decorative item my son wanted. If your near Disneyland. This is a great place to stop by. He also ships items to you if your out of town. Amazing color of the fishes. He also sells special lighting for plants. He has great selection of plants. Must stop by fish store..

I moved to Southern California for school and I unfortunately had to leave my beloved fish tank with my parents. I was reluctant to start a new tank because I didn't know anything about the local fish stores here and i missed the kind feeling of the stores back home. On a whim, I visited Nolan's one weekend and I was absolutely amazed. The staff was extremely friendly! The fish and the plants looked very happy and healthy. I'm not exaggerating the tanks look clean enough to be an exhibit. The staff is always willing to give advice and they are very accommodating. With the help of Nolan and his crew, I was able to create an aquarium better than the one I have back home!

This Guy is Legit. Ordered some Calvus Cichlids online, which I have been wanting and my excitement to get them had me wondering what was taking so long. I bought three snails today and am surprised by the patients and kindness of the staff after changing my mind three times. Their fish and aquariums are well maintained, and I could not find a single dead fish or any indicators of poor keeping. Prices are labeled, and they choose the smaller price if the fish or snail is between two sizes. If you are looking for some shrimp, fish, etc., that you can't get anywhere else, call and ask. They probably have it or will get it. The only thing I wish they had more of is smaller Koi fish; the ones they had were a little too pricey. The good ones were sold out, and the ones they had weren't eligible for discounts. I hope to see some restocking on pondfishes in the future. 👍

Place is great!!! Everyone is super nice. I have bought a tank, food, medicine, plants and several fish from there.Do ask about their fish return policy. I bought 2 hillstream loaches from there. I quarantine them as soon as I got them home and I had done research on what was there best environment to have them beforehand. I live 6 minutes away. One was dead the next day morning. I called and they said once I opened the bag there is no guarantee. I know the fish hobby is brutal but do ask for their fish policy. I don't like buying from PetSmart but it's something to consider.

Nolan's is a real hobbyist store. It is a business born out of a love of aquarium keeping rather than a business that happens to sell aquariums. Nolan has special ordered hard to find fish for me and delivered to my home. He breeds a variety of African Cichlids and you can tell from the egg incubators, setup and quality of the fish produced that he knows his stuff. He also has live plants, live food and some nice community fish. Highly recommended.

Been here about 5 times and I've bought fish 3 times. Super healthy and quality fish. You can see in each tank that the fish are healthy and fed very well. Their potted plants are good, and they have a good selection on tissue cultures. Great selection and prices on hardscape. Not so much selection on aquarium accessories but def go to for buying fish.

Great freshwatwer/ciclid store. Awesome experience. Knowledgable, friendly staff. All their tanks function on sponge filters only. No HOBs, no sumps, no dead fish seen in dozens of tanks. These people really care. Don't be scared by the location. Don't be scared to ring the doorbell. We live about an hour away and it was definitely worth the drive. Will definitely be back

I've only ordered from this store online, they're usually pretty good. I got a shipment of alive but very beat up snails awhile ago, a few died within the couple weeks of having them. I recently got a shipment of rasboras that were very small and several looked sickly, then the worst looking ones started to drop dead one by one. It may have been an issue during shipping. I got in contact with the shop and they made it right, which I appreciate. Would order again.

Recently got a betta and we came here to buy some natural plants and shrimp to accompany the new tank we have (we also wanted to avoid any animal chain store like Petsmart and Petco). Everything is well-kept and organized, and you can tell the animals are well taken care of here. Couldn't resist buying a cute sticker while I was there!

The best and healthiest livestock! If you’re looking for a great place to buy any fish or aquatic livestock, this is the place to come to! This is my third time buying Chili Rasboras, great quality! Not to mention the client service is great by Nolan himself. Very know lol and is willing to answer any of your questions! I also bought some assassin snails and he was kind enough to throw in two more assassins for free! Thank you! Any aquatic enthusiast, stop by! You won’t regret it!

Nolan was super easy to deal with Her even delivered my tank to my house! He also took the time to go over the filter set up with me.I originally had ordered a stand, but there was a personal issue with his carpenter. He was honest about and kept me informed about it.I really appreciate honesty especially when there's an issue that could have sunk his sale. Luckily for me I was upgrading the size of my turtle tank and the table I was using fit the new tank perfectly.I found him on Craigslist. Which as most know can be really hit or miss. I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't just have a bunch of tanks for sale in commercial location. He has a full aquarium store with live fish for sale etc!

So I originally found this place online. My first order was some plants and they all arrived perfectly packed and healthy. I didn't quarantine them before putting them in and they acclimated to my tank just fine and are alive and well. Bonus, no melting and no hitchhikers either.I placed another online order but this time I decided to go into the shop since I was going to be in town. Alex was there to assist and he was a great help. I wanted multiple Java fern but only one of them looked really good so he let me choose another place to replace the one I'd ordered. I ended up with an Anubias Nana, I've got those in my tank too. Finally he helped me pick out some bodacious blue Japanese trapdoor snails. On the way home I had some questions and was able to text them and got a response immediately. These guys are great to work with!
