The staff at Happy Paws are very friendly and they listened to my concerns. Our Standard poodle was a mess (from a previous groomer that had scheduling issues, the rain and her running through the muddy flower beds). I knew she had some matted spots, she had way more. The owner called to give me the plan for the haircut before they started. I thought that was a courteous thing to do. My poodle came out looking beautiful and fresh. We'll just start growing and shaping new pom-poms from here on. I plan to keep bringing my pup to Happy Paws 🐾

My dogs and I love the girls here ..the staff is so.sweet .and always take care of my Sophia zoie lacy and Lola .the always style and cut thier hair as per requested if possible .sometimes Sophie is beyond her hair due date and her fur gets bit unruly but the groomer always tries her best to make her look spectacular .love the way Shop is set - up open area so you can see all the dogs getting bathed or clipped which I really like ..I don't like other shops where they take my baby to.a back. Room out of eyesight ..I have been using Happy - paws for over 4 years and have never had a issue with them ..I highly recommend them try them out you will agree .fairly priced .and staff is friendly and courteous

They did a great job. My dog didn't seem to be traumatized. I been to other places and my dog comes back lethargic. This time my dog was happy and running around when he got home. It is a little pricey but well worth it!

I love this place! They did an excellent job and were able to take in my dog within the next 30 minutes after calling. They have great prices and attentive, kind employees. And most importantly, my dog was a happy girl at the end. New returning customer 😊 ❤️

This is the first time we have been to Happy Paws. My pup is always a little hesitant when meeting new people. He did fine.Only four stars because they charge a fee for using a debit/credit card, but they do accept checks and cash.

1st time at Happy Paws. What a great job and service . I will be going back. I didn't even have to wait long for my dog to be done with his full service cut. Other places mack you wait 4 hours. My wolfie looks so cute!!!!!!

My first time going there, everybody that works there is very nice and friendly. Joy (manager/owner?) went out of her way to help me track down my dog's shot records. Turns out they weren't able to help me today, but their kindness and professionalism will definitely bring me back there once I get my little Papillon squared away. Now that's how you build a customer base!! Great place, friendly people.. Five Stars.

Brought my 11 month old collie pup for her first full groom here. Of course, like all first time pups, they can be a handful the first few times. We were so happy the way the cared and treated for her. They took their time with her and made her feel comfortable with her bath and sani cut. We will continue to return to Happy Paws. So glad we found this place!

I have been bringing my two English bulldogs here for years now. I have never had an issue and they always look and smell fresh and clean. Appointments are never an issue either, usually they are able to see them on the same day! Definitely recommend this location to anyone needing a groomer

Can’t say enough good about this place. Went through a few other grooming places, including expensive mobile grooming, and was not happy with care and outcome of my pups. This place was responsive, called about an issue and spent time with me to decide what to do (mats worse than I thought) and I could tell my 2 dogs were not stressed by their experience and taken care of. Best grooming - far above others. Already made my appointment for next grooming. I rarely write reviews and feel compelled to offer this place ultimate praise.

WOW.!Great business I came in from out of town called same day they were very accommodating. The staff is friendly and inviting. They were able to give great service as well my pups 2 dachshund chihuahuas left clean and happy. They even took time to help with 1 that can sometimes be touchy. I wish I lived here they will always be my go to when ever I am in town to visit family. Thank you for your great patience and service!.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a permanent groomer for my yorkipoo. Do NOT recommend. Had an appt for 2:30pm, was told that it would take 3 HOURS to groom, received a call around 4pm stating that they were just STARTING my pup’s grooming and to be there early for pickup since they close at 5pm. Left some scrapes and a choppy cut. My pup is NEVER aggressive and very timid/anxious sometimes (he was groomed once a month at his previous groomer for years with no issues and enjoyed the staff), but bc of their rushed service they informed me they had to muzzle him! Typically not one to leave reviews, but everyone deserves a fair warning after their service and what they did to my baby. Oh, did I mention they only offer a selection of 3 haircuts with no knowledge on how to style each breed. Def not worth $55.

I took my dog Mushu for a full groom service and was so pleased with the results. Their groomer Joy took such great care of my dog. She tends to get anxious, but she was happy when I picked her up. I highly recommend taking your dog because they are highly experienced and have an amazing staff.

They injured my dog and didn't want to take responsibility or help with the pet bills. We took in a happy healthy dog and they gave back a sad and crippled one. We don't have the money to take her to any specialists. She seems to have something wrong with her neck, she is not the same dog. We talked to the owner and he got super defensive about everything. They need to be more careful about handling people's pets here.

If you’ve been struggling to find “the one” well Happy Paws Pet Grooming is it! I’ve been coming here since last year and this is my go to pet grooming shop. Although I don’t have a small dog for it to get a hair cut but I do have two German Shepard’s that require a bath and a blow out every month. Because man we all know how much they shed. Ha! They’re efficient, there crew is more than capable to handle all types of breeds and most importantly they treat my dogs like there own! Definitely check them out!

Very organized during check in and at check out.I’ve been to many groomers and this one tops it.Very courteous staff and you could tell right away they care for the dogs. My dog is very anxious and could be difficult at times, but staff handled him well.

I like Happy Paws. We've been taking our two small Yorkshires there for about 2 years. Just got them groomed yesterday with a close summer cut. Very pleased with the result.The shop is in a very small commercial center on a corner on 17th St. The store is air conditioned so your dogs will remain cool during their visit. The shop is next door to the now defunct 17th Street Animal Hospital, which abruptly closed about a year ago.I always receive a pleasant hello when I call. I try to make an appointment at least one day in advance to insure I get a time convenient for me. They do same day, but almost always can schedule the next day.Little dogs like ours are $35 each. A deal. This includes a wash, nails, the anal gland expression and a thorough dry. They look tip-top and are happy to be shed on the extra hair.Let's keep small businesses like Happy Paws going.

I was disappointed in the way they groomed my dog. I left her at 2 and came back at 5 and they rushed her grooming. Still having to wait extra half hour for then to finish. I was not satisfied with the cut or the time it took to groom her. I was not the only person waiting for their to be finish. They did not take their time to groom my dog. Not coming back and ,not recommendations this place.

I brought my 2 yr. old WGSD to the Santa Ana location for their promotional BATH & HAIRCUT. I was NOT pleased with the cut as it was TOO SHORT and CHOPPY. The following day, there were spots of blood and bumps along his spine and the sides of his body. He was showing signs of discomfort, stress, and pain. He was no longer eating or engaging in playful activities. His skin was sensitive to the touch and would cry when pet. He was NOT our normal happy puppy.I spoke with the staff and was referred to discuss the matter with the Owner. It took a few days of unsuccessful phone calls, voicemails, and email attempts before I was contacted by the owner. My dogs symptoms had not changed and his stress level worsened. After discussing possible issues with proper care during the service, we agreed that he needed to be seen by a Vet and would discuss the bill afterwards. Unfortunately, the Vet was unable to properly diagnose the cause of his symptoms, and stated our case was unusual and the first incident she has seen in her 13+ years of experience. My dog was given a medicated bath and antibiotics to relieve the irritation of his "sores" and alleviate his pain/discomfort. Since our Vet could not specify the cause, the owner would not take full responsibility for the vet bill even though these symptoms occurred immediately after we left our dog in his establishment's custody and care. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES!!!

I just had a full groom service for my little malti-poo, Cassie and they did an amazing job! They were very patient with her and I loved the end result. Very friendly staff as well, definitely recommend giving them a visit!
