We love our new fish tank! Danny was very kind, patient and helpful with helping me select the right size and type of tank for my 4 year old son. He was informative and helped me understand what equipment was recommended and what we needed to do to care for our aquarium. He even took my son around the whole store and helped him choose which fish would be appropriately sized for our tank. The fish are beautiful and we are very happy. Thanks for a great experience!

I got my 2 bettas here, both for $8 each. The female koi is so cute and half the price of chain stores. The betta are actually lively and move around unlike chain stores. They also sell a bunch of other fish but sadly I have no room. Lots of staples like tetras and corydoras plus some uncommon ones too! They sell a variety of fish food, some even look homemade. Neat place to stop by and take a look. Better to support local shops, the low price is also a plus.

They have a big selection of fish. We went to buy food for a gold fish my son had won at the fair. We knew nothing about fish, but the guy at the store was very helpful. He explained a few things and had recommendations. We asked him about different fish tanks and also about what fish/frog combination we could have. I would definitely go again for any additional pet fish needs. Too bad the gold fish was dead when we got home :/

Awesome place I love it there and way cheaper then petco ... that's my new go to for supplies and fish ...and now my daughter is a proud owner of a bird ... the guys hooked it up with all the work for cheap ...

Great mom and pop shop, the display tank is not the most eye pleasing, but have not gotten any sick fish from this place. And I have gotten around 30 fishes through last 6 months all different species. Pretty good in pricing, can find some really good deals here sometimes. Got some panda Cory here for 2 dollars cheaper than most other places in oc. Would recommend to check it out.

This is has become one of my top 3 favorite fish stores. The staff was very helpful. Their prices make me want to come back again. They sell really cool fish and a variety of pet supplies that I will definitely go back for.

I went here to look at the bettas, I was really impressed by how healthy they looked. I'm so used to seeing very unhealthy male bettas in most fish stores, but these looked really lively with clean cups and beautiful colors.

I got a couple great fish here and they all seem to be doing great. the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The variety is great as well. Definitely will be coming back next week.Thank again to the staff for their wonderful help.

Store was pretty cool. Lots of exotic birds and an amazing line up of Betta. Salt water section was small but seen a few fish you don't normally see at other places. Fresh water fish were good fresh water varieties just wish he had a little more of both but explained to me why some fish weren't in or able to get his hands on some.

First went in to look around and ask questions on what we would be needing to purchase as a first timer. Explained we had a 5 gallon tank and are inexperienced. He asked what fish and I said "oh we're not buying until next week, just prepping." As soon as I said that he walked away and as I followed (to ask the questions I needed to ask) it was like pulling teeth to get a response from him. He managed to answer our questions with no details and we left. We came back (our mistake) the next weekend and bought 5 balloon molly fish because he said they would work for our size tank. Everything seemed good but a week later we start to notice how stressed out they seemed. Turns out these fish need a minimum of a 10 gallon tank to be healthy and happy. He also didn't tell us everything they would need, including a pump and bubbler as they lacked oxygen in the tank. We called today to ask if we could return them to exhange for smaller fish that can handle a smaller tank and all he said was no. Clearly they don't care about their fish and I would shop elsewhere. Extremely disappointed because fish aren't cheap and are still animals that deserve to have a healthy environment.

Guys... where do I even begin? First of all, let me start with the owner Danny. What a stand up guy he is! We consider him a friend and enjoy chatting with him as much as we love staring at his fish. He is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for his pets. We have been to many many MANY tropical fish stores in the OC but we always come back to DDs! His fish and pets are healthy and happy, which makes us happy! If you're looking for a wonderful experience and some friendly conversation and advice please go here! The prices are great as well. All around 10 stars!

Google shows they close at 7 on Monday but It was closed @6:30. Still the best fish store in the area just need to fix there store hours. I don't live close and it was a wasted drive

Not the best selection or worst, and you can definitely luck up on some nice freshwater fish even tho they dabble a bit in saltwater. But the son is very knowledgeable to help you out. The father not so helpful or friendly.

Excellent shop. Was able to find female guppies when every other shop in the area had none. I've never had a sick fish or problems from them either and typically I do not quarantine.

So I just bought a sichlid from that store yesturday and it died today and I called him and won't Even try to give me a refund or exchange for a different fish. So he wont longer be seeing me at that store. his customer service suck all he cares about is selling but not refund I will officially go to tongs were the service there is way better and have no problem giving us a exchange trust me guys tongs gives u rewards for buying fishes

Great variety. Above average health for a tropical fish retailer. Makes the most of their space. Cuts fair deals. Staff asks to help but doesn't hassle or shadow. Some staff are extremely helpful.

Just went there yesterday and had a really good experience, I asked questions and he gladly answered them. They had a good variety or freshwater fish and the salt water fish were absolutely beautiful. Hopefully I will be coming back soon for a new angelfish and more love plants

I assert that the owner knew the Koi Betta sold to us was already sick but sold it to us anyways. I had my doubts but since I'm fairly experienced with fish in general (not really with Bettas), I'd figured that I'd roll the dice on nurture him back to health. He was a unique find so I paid the full $45. He unfortunately died in just 2 days. Luckily, we came across a similar specimen at a Petco a week later. They literally just received their shipment on that day and weren't even on the shelves yet. We have never seen such a Koi Betta at a Petco/Petsmart and they did charge a premium $25. We brought him home and he's been thriving! He's pictured here. Anyways, don't trust the owner at this store - use your own judgement. Giving him 2 stars instead of 1 because he is quite skill - just look at all the discuss and arowanas!

I have always been able to get my turtles from this pet store and at reasonable prices. The man who works there's a great guy who is always friendly and helpful he helps me with my turtles new and previously bought I also buy my live foods and dry foods that are needed for them from him. One of the few times that I was there last id purchased a new turtle from him a little Diamond back Terrapin and also a Rio Grande slider turtle plus blood worms feeder fish and turtle pellets and dry shrimp all of which my red ear sliders and map turtles from this pet store love to eat. He's great very informative and knowledgeable about something he also sells baby conures and baby African Grey parrots all kinds of birds and tropical fish other kinds of turtles tiny crabs and there's a lot of pets in this little store. Go and check out the store and see for yourself what I mean.

Visited earlier this year 2017. Store dimly lit and tanks were murky, all on a Saturday FYI. Pricey compared to other stores I thought. I ended up buying 2 hamsters from this place. I wanted 2 females, well yup you guessed it. Got opposite sexes and now have 11 hammys. Also when I asked older gentleman what kind of hammys they were he said "normal kind", I should have known better. Really good price on the hams though!

Danny is the man, he is the owner of the store and has been in the hobby for years now. He's very knowledgeable about all of the fish he sells and the more time you spend at his store the greater your experience here gets.
