I stopped by to ask about restrooms (not the one in the Petco store). The kind and polite cashier told me where the shared outdoor restrooms was located. And then he surprised me by saying it was OK to use the Petco restroom if I wanted. That was nice! So I bought premium canned cat food after.Also, Petco has a good selection of quality foods for pets. I feel good about shopping at their stores. Recommended.

Love the vital care that I'm able to provide for my pets with Petco. Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable. Mr. Stuart has been extremely knowledgeable and LaDonna is the best when it comes to grooming. The good part is their app, which is user friendly. Scheduling appointments, rewards , and order food made so easy in a few simple clicks. We love Petco!

One of the employees of this establishment I'm assuming the manager, decided today would be the day he'd ruin for me. He also thought playing with my money made sense. I'm sure he wouldn't be happy if someone played with his job and money, matching his negative energy. I DoorDash sometimes. I'm a single mom of a 5 year old. I've done over 3.5k deliveries over the past 3 years. Rarely am I asked for my identification. I can count on one hand. Today I came into Petco with my ID. I've been in the Petco to pick up food plenty of times using that same ID and with no problems I was given the order. Thank God. Because at the end of the day it's not that serious.I explained to the manager that for privacy reasons my name on DoorDash for the past 3 years has been an alias. However I showed him my ID and said that he could use my legal name or alias in order for me to pick up cat food. Mind you I have done over 3.5k deliveries for more expensive products including electronics and was never asked for ID. If anything the app asks for me to scan the barcode for that product. So when the manager of this establishment told me that the name on my ID had to match the name on the app from his device I was sure that if I also showed him my device that showed the order information directly from the app I was assigned the order under my alias and my email address (that included my legal name) he could be rest assured that I was in fact that I was in fact the correct person to give the order to. I hoped he'd be intelligent enough to realize that for starters I'm not about to steal cat food. And that if he was worried about me stealing cat food my legal name and physical address was right there on my ID for him. That way I'd be easy to track down and be punished for the crime of catnapping food. However he chose to make things more complicated than necessary. Asking dashers for ID at a pet store is incredibly stupid. Not just because it's pet food but because a "Dasher" stealing from the Petco would be the fault of DoorDash and the Dasher not the Petco regardless to whether they take ID or not. If stealing is that big of an issue that Dashers need to be carded for an order then maybe DoorDash isn't something Petco should be investing in. Taking my ID and making sure the name matches the Dasher name isn't going to stop people from stealing. Either way I showed proof of who I was by using the app and gave him my legal name. It's not corporate espionage. It's not grand theft auto. I'm not smuggling contraband. It's just cat food. I'm trying to make money to take care of my son. So I don't appreciate someone asinine making that difficult for me in this economy. Lift the requirement for Dashers to show their ID. Your establishment is 1 out of 200 establishments in San Ramon that asks for ID for something as invaluable as cat food. If it's that serious hire your own delivery drivers and stop using DoorDash.I made sure to tell him he was being extremely asinine. It's cat food not a 5 carat diamond.

It's crazy their policies, free return on numbers broken, unused new, that's crazy, then also the return on pet food if 50 percent /more is still remaining is insane. I don't use loopholes but it's crazy enyone could. Workers are super helpful and seem to genuinely care. I got a 50% discount on a 14gal with some accessories rimless and all I did was put in my phone number, bettas are defiantly manurished/ super depressed to I advise they don't sell them, but I did get one and I was able to save it from the inhumane conditions. Hope everyone else can pitch in to help bettas in need. Buy overall I love the place and I'm glad they also sell worms which I can use for fishing bait. š

I love going there to get my kittens all that they need, from play toys, grooming accessories, and kitten food. They have a variety of everything for cat/kitten needs and the best part are the GREAT prices!

Why for getting services, for up charged with hidden fees that weren't disclosed when I booked online. And worst, the groomers did a below average job grooming my dogs. Very patchy work... Not worth 200. I won't be back that's for sure

I was pleasantly surprised by my Australian Shepherd's grooming experience at Petco San Ramon. It was the best puppy cut any of my Aussies. She looks great! Price was reasonable and staff listened to my concerns and what I wanted. Great experience. I have only ever gone to high-end grooming salons. Petco met and beat all of them!!

my dog Sunny received multiple cuts on his chest during a hair cut!! Then the groomer forgot to call me to let me know Sunny was ready to be picked up. When I got worried and went to pick him up, I was told the salon was closed and the groomers had left for the day!! They forgot to call me!!!! Will never use Petco grooming services again!

Went in with my family. We were ready to purchase about $100 in toys. The employee at the register spent 10 minutes trying to ring up one customer. Did not acknowledge us and honestly did not look mentally equipped for the situation. We put down the merchandise and left. Nice job.

Has a wide variety of fresh, frozen, dried, and canned cat & dog food plus a treats bar (by the pound) near the cash registers.Has hamsters, guinea pigs & fish and aquarium plants for sale.Fascinated that they have a betta fish selection (fish are individually sold in self-help clear plastic tubs - donāt need to ask a sales clerk to get you a betta) in a āBetta Lounge.āThis location has a separate dog grooming salon (with separate entrance) too within the building.

Nice petstore..one of the larger ones, ofc has a lot of choices for your pets needs or wants š we walked in for fruit flies for my spider and walked out with a whole fish aquarium and all the goodies to go IN the tank. My child now has a fish that he picked out...and it's nice to have a fish aquarium bk up and running after a realli long time. Only downside to this store as opposed to some others I visited in the past is that the bathroom was realli gross...typically do not like using public restrooms but the little had to go after sucking down a med slurpee and we were in there for an extended amount of time due to getting sidetracked with fish š¤·š»āāļø. Other than that store over all was clean...a lot of stuff on the floor due to stalking shelves and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I have been visiting this store since the past 16 months regularly, since I got my first fur baby to buy pet food, treats, crate, dog bed, leashes, harness, toys and everything else that I need. I love this store. Itās neat. The staff is very courteous and friendly. And I mostly find whatever I need.Posting this review today because today after my purchase, I forgot my Credit Card at the counter and did not even realize that I did not have it with me. Carmella who was at the register who had helped me earlier, ran outside to find me as I was driving away in my car. I was touched by that gesture. Saved me a lot of stress and trouble. Thanks so much Carmella for saving the day for me. Much appreciated. I will keep coming back to this store and highly recommend you to stop by and check out this store.

Very very nice staff. Jan 1st and all the other Petco Stores were closed. But not this one. I called 12 mins before they were closing. I needed crickets. I asked about the crickets. I said I know you close in like 12 minutes so I'll try my best to get there on time. The young man said well how many you want I'll have them ready for you. I said okay thanks 20 please. I got there with 3 minutes to spare from Pleasanton. Anyway never been to that store before. Staff was great it was super busy and pretty clean from what I can see. I'm going to go back and check it out when I have more time.

Groomers are rude! It is not the clients fault that the website has inaccurate information regarding nail trim and buffing, instead of clarifying the answer was āI donāt manage the websiteā. Website says no appt needed but when I showed up they didnāt take walk ins. Called to make an appt, of course no one picked up nor they returned the call.

My first visit to this Petco was a bit underwhelming. The way they have some of the aisles set up is not very easy for someone like myself, with a mobility device, to get around. For one thing, they have all these different kiosk-like displays. The way they are set up makes it difficult to get my scooter around each one. I had to keep going down other aisles to get back to the other side of a kiosk. Just so I wouldn't knock anything down. Furthermore the customer service was less than fair. When I asked one of the clerks what the price was for the items in a display bin, she looked down at the sign on her side of the bin, and in a sparky tone told me the price. The bin didn't have a sign on my side and I couldn't get around to her side because an open register, with customers in line, didn't allow enough room for me to get in there. In the rest of the store there wasn't a sales person to be found to ask for help in pricing a few items. Overall, it was kinda disappointing and I'm not sure if I will return. I did find some toys that were interesting for our new puppy, but three of them have already fallen apart.

My first impression of this Petco location is that it is a bit messy and the workers are young. But you'll generally find everything that you need for your pet. They also have a decent selection of fish, lizards, birds, and they even have frogs, turtles, and snakes.

Am very disappointed the way they have given me broken piece. I have ordered for fish tank through online and did curbside pickup. Service was smooth and fast. Went home and checked, it was broken in the corner. Immediately called them and informed same. Asked me to return and they don't have replacement. Have to go back to store and return it with the help of associate who was so kind. Like the service, but they shouldn't have given me broken piece and made me drive twice for 30 minutes. People make sure to check goods twice before you leave. Don't believe in people.
