We’ve never had our English Cream Golden groomed and Ziggys did such a great job thinning her undercoat, trimming her hair, cleaning ip her paws and nails. Sonsie can get anxiety when away from us yet when we picked her up she was calm and confident in her new “do”! Thank you!

started taking my boys to Ziggy’s a little over 2 years ago and they were exactly what was needed. Reasonably priced, attentive to the dogs and my older guy has very sensitive skin, and the product they use was high quality, he didn’t even need anything special.

This was my first time using Ziggy's and I am nervous about leaving my dog anywhere I don't know about but I could not be more pleased. She was groomed to perfection! I was amazed how reasonable the cost was, especially in Marin County. Deborah, who is the owner is a delightful person and she made the experience even better. I highly recommend Ziggy's!

This post is not a post to bash a local owned business, but a warning about what I experienced today. I have taken my dog 4 to 5 times now for grooming which you think would mean the owner who has helped me each time would recognize and appreciate, but no she doesn’t. I live in Berkeley and chose to drive her because they really do a great job making my pup beautiful! However, I am never going back after today. Generally I drop off my dog in the morning and it usually takes until 4 pm for him to be done and I’m always there right away to get him. This morning, I dropped him off and yes shame on me not asking what time he would be done but I was going off past experience that it would be late afternoon. At 2 pm I received a phone call from the owner, but missed it and she did not leave a voicemail. At 250 I called her back and she said “you dogs done been over an hour now when are you coming?” I let her know I’m on the way from Berkeley and she huffed and said “Well, we’re trying to close at 330 so hope you make it” and hung up. I was completely shocked to be treated this way as a repeat customer and called back and she didn’t answer. I was worried that she would keep my pup over the weekend so dangerously rushed over the bridge to get him, I was so upset that as I got closer I had my husband call her and let her know we’re ten minutes away getting there right at 330 pm and you know what she said?? I’m not a daycare you need to get here...is this real life because she only called an hour and a half ago to tell me he was done. The Hours of operation clearly say open until 430 pm and I would never leave my dog there for an extended period of time. This is a long rant, but please think about going here the owner is not in anyway customer focused, I’m not really sure what her intentions are for owning this business.

My lucky day meeting Debra for the first time. Brought my Cavalier in to have her nails clipped. I received the most welcoming and informative reception and knew that I have found a place that genuinely loves pets. Debra's own dog were there and I never saw such love on her dog's faces. The setting was spotless. I look forward to benefiting by knowing that my pet will be in loving care when the need arises!

I took my little dog to be groomed here for the second time. The first time, I was helped as a walk-in without trouble. The second time, they helped me on the phone and could arrange an appointment for my dog same day. This is the only place in Marin that you don't have to record a message to be helped, if they ever called you back. The groomer is an artist. Also, this is the first place where my dog doesn't literary climbed myself because he is scared. Immaculate place, doesn't stink, NOT outrageous prices. Excellent customer service!

We boarded our dog here for a day and a half so we could explore San Fran without worrying about her. We were walk-in's and it was clear from the moment we stepped through the door that we had found a place that LOVES dogs. They were so nice to her and even bathed and did her nails while we were gone. Ziggy's definitely made our stay in the San Fran area more pleasant.

I have brought my two English bulldogs to Ziggy's for the past year both dogs are younger than two years. I recently made a reservation (7/26/17) to board my dogs for one night. While on the phone the owner said, yes she could board them and that it would cost $45.00 per dog but it has to be cash and that I have to pick them up no later than Saturday before 1pm (I am staying overnight Friday to Saturday Santa Cruz) so I agreed to her somewhat frantic requests. On Friday morning I drop my dogs off the first thing she says to me (without any pleasantries) is that she has to charge me $50.00 for each dog because they are bigger than they were before, I thought I was here a month a go and they did not grow that much since in addition they are English Bulldogs that are short and stocky and then she says to me where are their collars and dog food? I said, for what? she goes on to say I can't walk them without a collar and I don't supply any dog food. I thought to myself this woman (owner Deborah), a screw came loose upstairs or she is just in a bad mood or something. I just wanted to get out of town with my kids for one night. I then arranged for my nephew to drop off collars and dog food. As I am preceding down the highway to Santa Cruz I get a text message from Deborah/Ziggy's telling me to come pick up my dogs because they are barking aggressively at the other dogs and she cannnot have dogs barking at other dog. I was like she must be insane because dogs bark in kennels an typically they bark at other dogs. I had to turn around, an drive back, meanwhile I call her she explains to me she made a reservation for my dogs at Canine & Company up the street from her, at this point I am like whatever. A gut feeling told me that I should probably call Canine and Company to follow up on this reservation and to see if they needed anything. I called an left a message. Within 20 min owner of Canine and Company returned my call and said, they were trying to call this owner at Ziggy's to let her know that they had no room and she preceded to tell me that they were booked for the next two weeks.Bottom line is this, the owner at ZIGGY'S is a Blatant liar and not a very good business person with ABSOLUTELY NO customer service skills, and why was she so adamant about cash only? I have always used check or credit cards prior to this visit.After this incident I thought about her impatience and abruptness and I would never trust this women with any pet. I was fortunate that the San Rafael Animal Hospital boards pets (they are my vet) and they had room I asked if I needed to bring collar, leash, and dog food? They said what for? We even supply the bedding for your dogs. Ziggy's lost a good customer. Anyone reading this review think twice before putting your trust in this owner to care for your animals, she is not a balanced person. In addition, i tried to look her up under Yelp and Ziggys is "Masked" under the previous owner "Its a Pets World" Same address Deborah has some revealing reviews under Yelp I can understand why she doesn't promote Ziggy's on Yelp.

This place has unleashed, unaccompanied dogs walking around behind the counter, barking constantly. The bare concrete walls amplify the barking and you can't hear yourself think. It was almost impossible to communicate with the person there as the dogs were so loud. Also didn't feel like my dogs were safe as the other dogs were just wandering around. Not coming back.

WOW! My pooch was treated like a Movie(Star)Dog from Drop Off to Pick-UP. The Staff at Ziggy's is tremendous. My dog was bathed, nails clipped, and groomed like a TOP DOG!I can't wait for her next scheduled appointment as the rains of el Nino and our walks will make me rush right back to Ziggy's

$25 to cut nails wa a little surprising. But ok. It Marin.But they cut her nail past the quick and she bled a lot. They said “it’s hard to cut them.”Um. It’s your job.And I had to ask them to file down the nails. They just chopped them.Won’t be back.
