When you’ve been to one Whole Foods, haven’t you pretty much been to all Whole Foods. Exceptional produce! Almost everything has a pricier cost but typically worth the investment. Great iofinds and the occasional special treat. I love Whole Foods !

I’m going to start off saying that grocery stores are my happy place I love this Whole Foods. I’m in there almost everyday; everyone is super nice and friendly, helpful and chill. The item selection is great / pretty much everything I buy is always in stock. 5 stars all around. I am not a serial review, but today I did have a sour experience with a cashier when I was checking out that I want to vent about.The checker in question, Robin, seemed helpful at first - offering to double bag for me so I could carry everything in ‘one’ bag. I then offer to put the stuff in the bag while she checks out - it’s busy so I think it will make things a bit more efficient.Well, when I go to put my stuff in, the second bag/the inner bag, wasn’t even open - so I’m fumbling around trying to get the bag to sit properly before I can put the stuff in. By that time, she’s done ringing me up, so I ask her if she can finish putting the stuff in that bag while I run my card.She then proceeds to literally *toss* my stuff (it’s 3 containers of sushi) into the bag so they get all jumbled up. I know this sounds pretentious of me, but sushi is all about the presentation, and she messed it up!!Anyway, I love the store, love the people, but avoid Robin when checking out. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I work in customer service too and I don’t throw things around (just the occasional curse word when the facility is empty).

Love this location for their hot foods bar, their selection of Urban Remedy products and their floral section. Sometimes it's a zoo - especially on the weekends- but the employees are very courteous and helpful and the parking lot is generous in size.

Many things here that are familiar to WF shoppers, but the store is small, somewhat disorganized, and the selection at the hot bar, salad bar, deli, etc., will disappoint WF fans who are used to larger, newer stores. Plus—the parking lot borders on scary.

Prices are 20-30% higher than trader js and other outlets. Quality is usually higher, especially for organic vegies that are 30% higher. Cheeses and vitamins much cheaper at trader js with less choices for sure. Some folks count dimes. Folks here don't count' they just buy...

Produce is very hit and miss with too much of it not organic now days. Clam shell packaged greens like arugula is very poor quality most times I’ve shopped here recently. Quality of meat, particularly beef has been “ok”. I really miss the dry aged beef. Whole Foods is feeling more like an expensive Safeway or Vons these days that a go to for natural and organic products

How is it possible that I always run into issues at this San Rafael store. This time it was 2 rude employees, 1 great employee, and an overwhelmed deli guy (I felt sorry for him) who was solo during the lunch rush, and despite asking his coworkers for help, twice, no e. Was given. When the line was 6 people long and I was number 3 in line, and the guy ordering asked for 4 vegi burritos I bailed out. Continued with my shopping and when I finished went by the deli again and the guy who was behind me was still not being served. That was 10 minutes later.Also my Sonoma Chicken salad contained zero grapes, the key ingredient in Sonoma Chicken Salad.

Great selection selection of fresh produce. One thing that I love about Whole Foods are always bringing a new and better products and they are always conscious about healthy and sustainability. This location has great staff. There are friendly and always happy to help.

Horrible experience. I came in with a friend today. Mid day around 2 PM. We went to the bakery and asked for a cheesecake and two key lime pies from behind the glass display. Simple request however the older man working behind the pastry counter commented some very off putting things to us as he was handing us the items. We were both surprised as it was certainly uncalled for and neither of us understood why he would make such ridiculous comments to us after we were so polite to him. We also found many berries on the floor to avoid around the fruit section and produce on the ground in other areas. The store was just chaotic and the employees seemed as if they couldn’t be bothered even when we had a question at the checkout. We originally came to the store to charge my car at the newly installed Tesla station. I’ll come again to charge my car at the Tesla station but I’ll never shop this Whole Foods again. If you’re in Marin, save yourself the trouble, potential disrespect from employees that we received, mismanaged store, and shop elsewhere. On occasion horrible experiences put a stain on your view of the entire company and that’s what happened for us. I live in Marin and we have other great markets that offer high quality produce and fantastic customer service that we’ll choose instead of Whole Foods. Even if we were to overlook the unorganized condition of the store being busy at that time, the comments from that bakery employee and lack of engagement and friendliness from the other employees is enough reason to never return.

Ever since Amazon Prime this place is finally affordable! So many deals! Same fresh and delicious ingredients! There is nothing quite like fresh produce, veggies and meat/fish, but for years it has been too expensive. Scope the dishes I made with Whole Food purchased ingredients! No more Whole Pay Check! Thanks Bezos!

My long-time Whole Foods long before Amazon. (I remember this location as Alpha Beta). To update to the coronavirus era, like Novato, it has the dancing shoppers - CHECK, and clean carts before entry with security guards guarding the doors for its sketchy location. Back at the beginning of the pandemic, I downgraded my previous review to 1-star writing that there was an overarching but which was the way the check-out lines are set up. There was a chain line in front of the stands, making the area very tight, and it's 1 line for all - PATHETIC ... AND THERE IS NO PROPER PLACE TO PUT THE ______' LINE. However on the next trip on October 1st, the lines go shallow into the aisles and there is a gap between the aisles and the registers, so the store is more navigable. In sum, the management must have learned from my 1-star downgrade; this store is now more comparable to Novato and makes me happy once again, but still comes up just short of 5 stars.

I had to do an Amazon return and begrudgingly bought a few things. I don't shop at Whole foods in general because they are too expensive. But, if you want the best without going to the farmers market, they are your best option. They had lots of samples because it was Saturday. I didn't dare remove my mask so no dice. Whole foods are great if you're looking for the very best brands and can afford them. The cheese selection is fantastic.

Just stopped in after a celebratory dinner to pick out individual desserts. The bakery case was full of a variety of delicious treats. Everyone got what they wanted, a raspberry chocolate mousse, creme brulee, key lime tart, and got Humphrey Slocume ice cream on the side.The service at the counter was wonderful. He flames the creme brulee so the kids could watch and that was thrilling for them. It came in a ceramic dish, nice touch.Yum.

Sad, overpriced, low quality, barely organic, plastic containers for everything, constantly changing prices and product lines I care about, barely concerned with sourcing ethically, barely concerned with slow, long, checkout lines or lack or checkers or the replacement of workers with self checkout, barely concerned with meat being grass fed, barely concerned about organic anything farmers, the planet. Tesla only chargers packing the lot. That’s their message. Food for the elite dollars, garbage quality twice the price. They are concerned about making money like any corporation, as if - oh right, they are Amazon. Thank god I can go to the farmers market. I despise this store and all it stands for. Two stars: one for the charade of selling healthy food, the other for convincing everyone to go there like sheep.

I was in town and I really liked visiting this whole foods. Hadn't been in many years. Long before they started using Amazon prime for discounts and payments. I was pleased that the food is affordable, for what it is sometimes more than Safeway! I'll have to come back again. I'll probably go to the SF store next time since it's closer.

I shop here weekly. One of their smaller stores. Lines can be long, but well stocked (much appreciated in the produce dept) and attentive staff. Now has 6 self checkout lines. Smaller of the WF markets, but essentials are available. Buffet is cleaned pretty often and love the butcher dept. They rock. New parking lot layout is so much easier to manuever, and there is more of it since their expansion. They could make more with the outdoor dining option esp with Dominican University students and local HS.

I tried to go into pick up some lunch today. The hot bar food was subpar as it's been for a few years now ever since a pandemic. So I attempted to get a sandwich yet, the girl behind the counter barely speaks. I kept telling her I wanted slice French bread she kept holding up rye. ??? Then tried to call the rye bread, wheat bread. I gave up and left. I'm a little confused by hiring people and customer service positions that don't speak a word of English
