Great store to shop pretty much everything you may need at home from clothes, books, toys, patio furniture, kitchenware and electronics.If you know what you’re buying and if it shows up in stock at the store using Target app, do order online and pickup/drive-up and the staff will bring it to your car in the parking lot (marked as Drive-Up). Super easy and saves you a ton of time. Often clothes & furniture items are easy enough to order online and pick up at the store.

Waited 10+ minutes for someone to open a locked cabinet. No one responded to their "sensor". Finally had to go to guest services to get someone to help. I know all these stores want to stop shoplifting, but come on.

I love Target, but today not so much. It took a full 10 minutes for anyone to help with the self checkout lines when 2 were blinking "need assistance" one was out of order leaving only 1 working. There were lines for the checkouts. two employees came within 10 feet of the registers and simply walked off.I totally get the short staffing etc, but this was just not caring, not paying attention. I tried to make eye contact,waved a bit. Nothing.

They have a rude maintenance man who cuts off customers and have no manners what so ever. There is no emergency situation in Target that justifies cutting customers off, not once but twice. And not say a word about it. I figured this person didn't speak English and was never trained by Target.

You either like target or not. I am more on the not side. Too many products made in China and you need to be careful about food prices. One nice thing about tbis store is the view from the parking lot.

Target was almost totally empty at 9 am. It was a little unnerving having employees follow me around the store... but maybe it was just actual scanning every item like they were actually doing? Whatever. The floors are super well waxed and shined.n

The San Rafael Target store must have one of the best locations of any Target in the country. It's right by San Francisco Bay, with fantastic views from the Starbucks inside, and a big parking lot filled at times with very attractive and unusual-sounding birds. It has a good number of EV chargers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the store is well stocked, not least with an excellent range of TVs and electronics. The CVS pharmacy staff inside are excellent, too. I recently brought a return to the Target customer service desk and also had some items my wife had bought the day before but had left in a bag at the store. They couldn't find the bag, but when I said I was feeling unwell with my heart, a Target associate went around the store and selected all the items again for me, no charge. Outstanding service!

This store is a huge mess from customer service to the customers.I was there yesterday and huge lines with only two lanes open as usual but the clincher was a man with a dog watched his dog go to the bathroom and did not clean it up even after I asked him to. The store needs more help and better cleanliness. I do not want to shop with dogs and especially where there is food served and a pharmacy. I tried five times to call the store today and no one answered the phone.If you cannot provide customer service and basic cleanliness, you should not be in business.

Great staff clean the store well laid out lotta good stuff. I really like to grocery shop there as well. Prices are great produce is always fresh not a lot of it but it’s fresh.

This review is specifically for Soila/Sonya. She was working in the kitchen section tonight and went above and beyond to find me the space heater I was looking for. The website said there were 4 in stock but she really did check everywhere including in returns and could only find the small versions of the heater. She was so polite and helped me with a smile. When I thanked her she said, "Of course. It's my job!" Despite not getting the heater tonight, I had to give her a shout out because it's rare to be met with such genuine help.

The guest experience at this target is phenomenal!! I wish I got the woman’s name who helped me out but she went above and beyond to find me the deodorant I’ve been searching for. I bought every last one they had because they’re a hot commodity (and I’m obsessed with the deodorant). Always a great experience here and I am so grateful for the employee that helped me out!

I had an awful experience at this Target. The customer service was extremely poor, and the employees seemed unwilling to help me or any other customers. No one was available to answer my questions or assist with finding products, making it a frustrating and disappointing shopping trip. I was deeply disappointed with the lack of care and attention given to customers, and I don't plan on shopping there again.

The service has gotten much better and I just hope Target changes the policy that enable me to write the first 2 star review below.The pick up part was fast and easy, but after doing that I had realized that I had chosen the wrong color and I tried to return one item, but the app wouldn't allow a in-store return and the cashier could only give me a in-store credit (not usable online) and the item I wanted (different color) was only available online, so now I have to print a label and send it back. horrible system, bad experience

I am a loyal Target customer and used their car pickup service all through covid. Unfortunately it has gotten so there is ALWAYS an item or items missing from my order that do not make it to my car and require a 2nd visit for me to get them. This is sadly a service that is no longer working for me. Their employees need to read the order and make sure that all items are loaded on their carts when they leave the store to deliver them to customers waiting outside.

This is the best Target in CA. The view is stunning, there is tons of parking including EV.It’s very spacious and during the blackouts, they allowed the community to charge their phones and hangout.I respect these employees working through a pandemic and having to pick up after lazy people. For the most part they have everything in stock with many options. 💚👏🏽👏🏽

I wish Target had U-Lock bike locks but I think they don't carry them anymore because of all the theft of them. The one in Marin City has them but it's too far from my house. Other than that, Target is a great place to shop for whatever you need. Except monkeys. They don't have monkeys.

I really should have gotten the woman’s name but I was there last week just getting some normal household items with my partner and I heard an employee say that when she was putting out some high demand items people went crazy and swarmed her. She was so sweet and she offered us some of those items before putting them out, it was something we really needed to but kinda gave up on looking for. She’s also asked us if we needed anything else and was willing to help us even though she was on her way out for her lunch break.I just thought it was really sweet of her, small things like that are really awesome. I hope that the employees like her that are working hard during these crazy times but still keeping such a great attitude are being compensated!

Their app and parking lot delivery worked great. I use the Target app and website for seeing if they have a hard-to-find item available and in stock. I order it online and wait for the confirmation that its available. I tried their curbside pickup for the first time (actually a designated parking area), provided the app the parking spot number, and it took the runner 37 seconds to show up! I told him they were spoiling their customers. I avoided a long walk down the aisles to see if the item was actually in stock. Great time saver.

I would not recommend many Targets. But the San Rafael Target is one of kind. Every associate I spoke to treated me with respect in regards to finding my items, the manager Richard definitely made me feel like a valued customer, and Jonathan from electronics went above and beyond to find me my items and I walked away a satisfied customer. This is a good team willing to help me after so many other targets were not nearly as helpful. When I think of Target, Richard and Jonathan are what I exemplify as good Target associates.

Availability of many products in your daily life. Great price on value clothing, especially with kids, keep it going!I love Target, get their credit card for 5% off everyday, even at Starbucks inside. One of the only four credit cards I carry around.

Big, good stock, well kept inside. Offers drive up pickup which is very useful for pandemic shopping. Pre-pandemic it was always well staffed and I never had a long wait in line. I’ve only been inside at quiet times since pandemic so same still applies as far as I know!

Target San Rafael consistently carries a wide variety of super cute women's fashion in inclusive sizing. I am often complimented on outfits I have purchased there, and folks are surprised to learn it was a Target purchase. They often comment that their Target doesn't carry those same items. I'm thrilled that my local Target carries such beautiful items, including designer collaborations.

Staff was great and super friendly especially the cashier James! I went in there pretty late tonight and pretty sure I was the last customer and they were all very patient. James even still offered and explained the red card! Even though I was trying to be quick I never once felt rushed!

Where else but in Marin can you shop at a target that has the best views out of any large shopping chain. It's actually nicer to park and enjoy the view outside than run in to the crowd. But, this target is probably one of the nicer one around. Very good customer service.
