Just found this pet store and I’m so grateful. I recently got a bearded dragon and it has been a huge nightmare trying to find the right bulbs for the size tank I have. I went to multiple petcos PetSmarts in Sonoma county and the east bay and no one caries or had the right lighting. I had to go to a reptile store in Hayward for the bulbs and ended up purchasing the only two they had. As soon as I walked in they had the exact bulb and lighting fixtures I needed. Will be getting all reptile lights from this store. The owner was very helpful and gave me some great tips about the care of my dragon. Just wished google would have recommended this pet store for reptile supplies.

Elvis and crew are the best.Yes, it’s a small shop and a bit cluttered.But the service and knowledge are both very good and comfortably personalized.Whether it is simple supplies, special orders, or boarding; they always come through.

Wonderful pet shop!!! Great customer service!!! Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, kind..... I came from Eureka Ca and stopped in on my way to San Francisco (for doctors appt.) Left with a sweet, calm baby rat. Would visit again. Fish tanks were clean and clear. I highly recommend! Let's keep small business alive. AS FOR THE REVIEWER WITH BED BUGS, GET A NEW MATTRESS DUDE!!!

I have shopped at this pet store since it was actually at Red Hill Shopping center. YEARS I have bought supplies from here. I sent my daughter there to pick up supplies for our pets. She said upon entering that the counter person was not wearing a mask. She felt uncomfortable and left. Today I called ahead of time and inquired if they were wearing masks and if they had the supplies we need. I was assured twice by both of the people there they would be wearing masks and that they had what we needed. I arranged for curbside pickup and wouldn't you know it, when my daughter arrived the second time the guy still weren't wearing a mask! I'm sorry to say this will be the last time we buy from this store. If you are going to explicitly lie to me twice, I won't be giving you my business.

Great local store with everything from crickets for our lizard, high end dog food to chicken feed. And if they don’t have it in stock, they will order it for you. Owner and staff are knowledge and helpful. We have 6 pets plus chickens, so they are a life saver. Support a local business today!

Small neighborhood pet store. They have mice, crickets and mealworms. Quite a few fish tanks with different kind of fish.I think they do a lot of pet sitting of lizards, hamsters or birds during summer months for folks who’s out of town.I have asked many questions to 2 different owners (?) about our leopard gecko. And I always got helpful answers.Perhaps folks think of adopting a lizard or getting fish, this might be a good place to start.If you opted stop having an aquarium or other caged pets, they might be able to sell a used set up at low price, so give them a call and donated to them if you have no longer needed equipment.

The sign outside the door says it opens at 10! It’s 11:35, I just got here because I DESPERATELY need food for my lizard and the store is not open!!!! This is the Third time this happens to me! I drive all the way from my house, stop everything I’m doing based on their hours and they DO NOT FOLLOW their hours!! The animals inside of this store are all in TERRIBLE care, everything stinks, it’s dirty and dark and disorganized and the service sucks!! We NEED a store like yours in the Marin area but not like this!!! What’s the point of having a store with live food around if you’re never freaking open??????? I am done giving this store money

This is a great store with a variety of holistic and nutritious foods. Elvis Johnson the owner is very helpful snd extraordinarily knowledgeable about so much when it comes to pets of all kinds. Please support this store because it is a true mom and pop establishment threatened by the larger pet food store chains.

I love the fact that they will special order items that they dont normally carry in stock so I can shop there instead of spending money at a chain pet store or one where they pick and choose which customers matter. Everyone here is extremely nice and very knowledgeable.There is a little bit of everything in this shop...and if you can't find what you're looking for, just ask. If they can get it in...they will!

I once got a bearded dragon from that place, turns out they were reselling it which I found out later. Anyways when we bought it and did it did not eat for a month. We decided to return it which was bought again to another person. We found out it’s original home and it was taken to the vet by the other person. Turns out it had some sort of tumor, and died a few days later. The staff was very kind on emailing us what happened. However to those who are looking to go and buy a pet there, do ask where the animals are from. Because they mostly resell animals, some with health problems.

Animal feed for: Chickens, birds, dogs, cats, rats, mice, fish. They sell bearded dragons, rats, mice, fish, birds, frogs.. Organic food available. Special items a little pricey. Staff very helpful. When I purchased a lot of things, it took a while because they had to punch everything into their iPad.

I was swooping a pinky mouse for my friend. I called before coming. First they "didn't have any" then at the last second they were like "oh, we have frozen ones". I said that was what I was looking for and asked how much. They said "99 cents". I went there because it was on way to where I was already going, and petco (where they are definitely a dollar) was a little out of the way. When I arrived, the girl insisted the price was a few cents shy of $2.70. She kept asking probing questions like she was trying to figure out who misinformed me... But the trippy part is the more she talked the more I was pretty sure it was her voice on the phone earlier. I paid their excessively padded price because I was in a hurry at that point. I was interested in talking with them about aquariums but I'm not going back to a place I can't trust.

I had a dog that was getting sick from her dog food. Vets were useless and getting rich from my repeat visits. The guys at Red Hill Pet Center knew exactly what to do and suggested Canidae. Not too expensive, but real, actual food. The dog is healthy again. My advice is to avoid the large corporate pet centers and go with locally owned businesses, where they have more control over what they sell and give to our pets.
