This is one of my favorite petco’s. All the staff are amazing to work with and are super cool. Anthony, Blessie are amazing and have the best knowledge and team work. I love all the pets I have from them. From fish to Guinea pigs it’s all the best experience that I do not get from other stores.

Terrible experience. They have no idea what they are doing here when it comes to fish. We went to buy our son a tank for his bday, told the gentleman helping us what fish my son wanted and he guided us in buying $150 worth of appropriate sized tank and supplies. Then we called and spoke with the manager about our situation getting everything set up and she provided further advice based on the tank we had and fish we wanted. Told us which day to go in to buy the fish. We went in and some different guy REFUSED to sell us the fish. Told us we couldn’t put that fish in the tank they sold us. The store manager wouldn’t help us told us to come back in three days. I’ve never had such a terrible experience and my son was left crying that he couldn’t get his fish. Go anywhere else. This place is a joke.

Ugh, my blood pressure is spiking! What tragic customer service I've experienced online, over the phone, and in store. DO NOT utilize their Vetco "mobile vet" whom I was told does not have a contact number that I can call to modify the incorrect prescription they gave me for my dog. This is after they literally drew his blood in the middle of a store, next to merchandise and surrounded by other barking and stressed dogs waiting their turn. Truly a mess and I'm embarrassed I took my pup there - we simply needed an updated heartworm prescription. 0/10 save yourself!

I am only sharing my own experience and it has not been good at all. I was looking into setting up a koi fish tank and asked help for all products needed. "The specialist" was answering all my questions at first and told me to come back when they have more items and promotions which was a couple days later. Well I did I showed up but he was in the store and did not meet me to help select all items, I waited 35 mins nothing, the manager even went back to get him nothing. So I left and called back a couple times, still trying to setup my tank, but no response, I wasted my time giving them a slight consideration. Wont do that again. Will go to a real aquarium specialist. I would put a zero rating but its not possible. Highly disappointed, not the feedback I expected

Petco had a dog tag making machine (for dog's name and contact info for owner), for making nice sized metal tags to attach to dog's collar, which many other pet stores simply did not have. The price of $10.99, for the tag and the engraving of both sides of the tag, was reasonable.

Tried to get my dog's nails trimmed twice. Was recommended from Novato because the PetCo groomers did not have availability at Novato. Tried to call ahead for availability but their phone lines were down, but they had closed the groomer early with no noticeI scheduled an appointment for the next day and when I showed up they did not have the staffing to cut my dog's nails. I drove four hours round trip (one hour each way twice) to not get the service done despite a scheduled appointment.

Exposed coral to air when I was buying it and they put almost no water in the bag. Was refused a refund even though they mishandled and abused the coral which isn't supposed to touch air at all. If animal was mistreated during the process we're 100% granted the right to a return and the staff said there were signs which said no refunds on salt water which is also a lie. Will be contacting store customer support/corporate to get this taken care of.

We have owned our Borderdoodle pup for over 2 1/2 years. During this time we have experienced many dog trainers. However, Kim's training methodology is what sets her apart and at a much higher level than the other trainers.Her training skills are concise with a clear explanation on how and what needs to be achieved. Her communication with the owners is spot on on how important it is to communicate effectively and consistently with your pet. Her training places focus on the owner and your pet. We feel very lucky to have found her.

I called ahead to check and see if they had a certain kind of car food that I needed because my regular place was out. A young lady was kind enough to check for me and they actually had it. I am so grateful that they had it, also to the nice young lady who checked for me.

Went to buy some dry food for my new puppy. They had a good selection, though the staff did not seem knowledgeable enough to make a recommendation. I did some research online while in the store and made my selection. The price on Petco online was about 20% cheaper than the Petco in store price. The store would not discount to their own online price.

My puppy was so overwhelmed and happy as soon as he got inside the store for the first time.. the employees were so kind and welcoming... my puppy will definitely would want to shop around in petco every once a week. :)

I wanted to return an item outside the 30 day window for store credit. Manager could not accommodate but did refer me to customer service phone support. Customer service made it work by crediting my account $25 without the return.

Store looks has more selection then most petcos, but that's about it. This isn't our first visit to this location should have never returned when we saw roaches in the bathroom.Today somehow got worse. We entered the store had a clear shopping list asked when we got in if someone could help us with the fish, was told someone would be right over to help. We hung out by the fish for 30mins kept trying to flag someone down but kept getting the brush off , and then told us they were closed and couldn't help. Cheeses I guess if your store can't even be kept clean, makes sense there are people with such nasty attitudes. Let the store owner know on our way out what has happened but didn't even try to help either. Not worth the trip unless our pets have an emergency and even then would be better off at Walmart.

A decent store. Could be cleaner - saw a cockroach running around by the budgies this past weekend. The staff while not always having the answers are enthusiastic which is always nice. Good selection of fish tanks!

Staff is helpful, knows the products & offers good recommendations. Everyone there has pets at home & they share their experiences so their advice is generally very solid. As for products, there's good variety, new items come in all the time, & old items are put in/on markdown bins/racks. Parking is easy. Prices are competitive.

They have a great selection for a variety of pets. I was able to get food, treats, and toys for my dog, my cat, and my parrot all in one visit. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and were able to assist me in finding the items I was looking for no problem. I would gladly shop there again next time I need something specific for my furry/fuzzy and feathered friends.

Jesse in Aquatics is extremely knowledgeable! I had an issue with green bloom in my tank and Jesse was very patient and articulate with instructions to resolve the issue. Jesse is also knowledgeable about pet products and helped me find items for my new puppy.
