Just had the worst customer experience here and will never go back - bought two succulents about five weeks ago that died after watering them once. I tried to exchange them for new ones and they said that it was past the one month exchange timeframe. They offered to tell me how to care for my plants. I told them that any other plant store in the area exchanges plants for up to a year, no questions asked, they didn’t care and said they wouldn’t budge. The fact that they wouldn’t do this for two plants under $20 is unbelievable. I won’t be going here again.

Chase Ace's nursery has a great selection of plants in their garden center- in fact they had the exact ones that we were looking for! The staff is very helpful and friendly and new exactly where everything was in the store and outside. Also, I sent a client in after my visit to pick up some plants that I had "scoped out" earlier and Sandra (Sondra?) In the garden center was awesome enough to remember the conversation that it had with her earlier in the day regarding specific plants needed for the client's yard. This made everything so much easier for my client, since she didn't have to repeat her needs and search for everything on her own. That's great customer service! Thanks !

Chase Ace's Hardware is a very easy business for propane gas cylinder exchanges. They charge about $5 more per cylinder and the customer service/friendliness could be better, but much better experience than the big box Home Depot.

The expert employees are what make this place great. Whenever I need help on a home project or have questions that can’t be easily answered online, Chase Ace is always my first stop. Their staff is filled with contractors, industry professionals, and DIY-ers with decades of real-world experience. Prices are on the higher side, but not exorbitantly so.

I'm a long time resident of the West End (over 30 years). It's a 3 minute walk, so I'm in the ACE often. It's a smallish location, but it is expertly stocked with essentials in the nursery and hardware, and one of the nicest housewares/gift shops in Marin. Much thought has gone into stocking the store with great product. But the real standout at this location is the staff, whom I always find super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's not a fluke encounter, either. It has been consistent since they opened. Well Done!

Such a charming side of the hardware store... Filled with a wonderful selection of home decor, gifts and curios. Pleasant staff and beautiful plants and garden accessories. If you have never stopped by, do check it out.

Under new Management I'm guessing. Super cute Gift Shop! Great/"Rarer" varieties of indoor plants. Selection priced on the higher side, but all of the plants look healthy and well cared for.

Over the summer the staff was so friendly and knowledgable; It was fantastic! This is why I was so shocked one week ago to have two staff members make jokes to me about hoping all the Republicans catch COVID and how nice it would be if they all died. That's so far out of line to say about anybody! I truly hope this does not represent the ownership's philosophy. It is a convenient store for me to visit, but at this point I am rethinking my hardware and home shopping options; Home Depot is not that much further away.

Really surprised at their selection and how healthy the plants are. Prices are pretty reasonable too and the staff is friendly. They are open till 7:00 p.m. which gives people who work a little bit more time versus the other nurseries in town.

Great selection of terra cotta planters and other pots. I bought 3 heart shaped terra cotta planters and two green planters. They have a revolving number of healthy succulents. Friendly helpful staff.

I have a Craftsman socket wrench that was broken. Went to Chase Ace Hardware to ask for a replacement. This store does not do Craftsman exchanges although they are supposed to, as a Craftsman dealer. Biggest problem however was the approach of the store manager. He copped an attitude right away and offered zero help or understanding of the issue. Really poor service from the store manager. I don’t recommend you do any business here. Place felt awkward altogether. Thumbs down

This Ace Hardware is beyond any Ace I have ever known. They have everything and their decor and gifts area is very well curated. I tell people if they ever need to get me a gift to just go there. They have a great supply of garlands and holiday decor as well.

Generally the service people are great here. Today we wet to buy a Xmas tree and they were priced crazy. $365 for a basic tree that we were able to get at bon air center for $97

As a minority i do not feel comfortable shopping here. I do not feel welcomed and im always hawk eyed from affar while i do nothing but try to shop. Discreetly harrassed. Not treated like white people shopping here even though i buy plants/supplies here least once every other week. Im sure they dont get rushed out the store or stalked while im just trying to shop for my plants. Ive had mutiple unpleasant experiences here and yet i still shop here because its close to home but honestley wish i never had to bother here.

This is a great hardware store. I've done quite a few projects where I've needed specialized items and they had every one of them. What's also great is that the folks really know what they're doing and give great suggestions as well. And they help you as soon as you walk in the door. Highly recommended.

Very convenient location. I was really disappointed when they closed down yardbirds. This place is the right streamlined size. It doesn't eliminate the need to go to home depot but it eliminates 80℅ of my trips.

It's extremely impressive how much hardware they fit into this small store. It's nice to have a local hardware store again in the neighborhood. So much better than going all the way out to the big box hardware store.
