I'll stop by here to grab my quick little hooks and line and whatnot but if you are a lake fisherman or ultra light fisherman that is like I am not a good store because they don't really have a good variety for us it's mainly big ocean stuff but definitely a nice store nice people peace and love

Great business and just a fun store to walk through. I don't even own a boat! But I'm restoring a 71 VW bus and it's about as water tight as a sieve so I buy marine grade hardware and electrical. They greet you when you walk in and then totally leave you alone unless you ask for help. I like that. When you do need help someone is always available and knowledgeable. If you want Home Depot prices, then go to Home Depot. This place is a bit more expensive, but it's ALL quality merchandise. Plus, it's organized. If you're looking for something, it's where it's supposed to be and that is worth a couple extra pennies in my opinion.

West marine is excellent, they have a great selection, excellent customer service, and Good location. If you have a boat that should be one of your favorite stores, they are on the pricey side, so be paired be prepared to pay for your merchandise.

I don't think this place deserves any stars. I went into the store to exchange a product that failed prematurely. It's the type of hose that self retracts and expands when there is water pressure. I bought it back in June and it failed only two months after I bought it. The connection on the faucet end tore from the hose under normal pressure and not from being pulled on. I attach it to another hose to prevent this kind of potential issue. I asked for a replacement and the person I spoke to (Veronica) said that the refund period of thirty days had expired. She had even verified my purchase. I was a bit disappointed and said okay and told them to throw away the product. Then after thinking about prior times of a retail employee reciting their policy I went home to look up their return policy online. Veronica did not mention that this only applies to a full refund and can offer store credit or exchange. Neither were mentioned as an option. When I called back and spoke to her, she said that she was a manager but was going to transfer me to someone else to explain their store policy.?.?? Then she put me on claiming that she was helping a customer, and fifteen minutes later came back on the phone and said that the product was not defective and that their policy in their store was not the same as the corporate policy.?.??? Anyways, I have never had an issue with West Marine except this store and this store manager. The product was obviously defective, had only been owned for a couple of months, was a verified purchase, and could have have been replaced or offered store credit in exchange. Instead I'm out $50 and dissatisfied with this branch of west marine. Buyer beware that this store does not follow corporate policy and I will be reporting them to the corporate headquarters to be investigated.

Good local marine store with a great low price guarantee, you can't beat that and free shipping. If they don't have it at thier store, it will ship free from one of many store's Nationwide and even if it weighs a ton. The store staff is very helpful and really know thier products.

man I love the store I just miss when I was a kid man you can go up in here and just straight up get soup and fresh food but that's not just covid didn't do nothing to that that's been gone for a while I wish they could turn it back though💪✌️😟

Sad place. Shelves empty and stock is gone when you need it. It's really frustrating to need a few of something and find they only stocked one. Staff is always friendly and tries to deal with West Marine's limitations. But this is why I use the internet as much as possible. You can't count on West Marine to carry spare parts to your existing equipment. Branded items are on the way out. They barely carry the parts for what they sell.

Standard West Marine store. Few alternatives as they have driven all other chandleries out of business. Often out of items I need. Than are always willing to order items for me. Generally helpful but not always knowledgeable. Open 7 days.

Mislabeled parts on website. Wasted $30 getting here and $30 back home because your employees insisted that the part was there. Not to mention can't get back to my boat because my tender needed that part.

Came into the store and no one even acknowledged me. Was there for about 15mins looking for lamp oil (for a lamp I purchased from West Marine). The staff out numbered the customers two to obe, however still no one offered to help even after standing at the counter. So I wandered the isles to no results. The last time I was here was for a float switch - a common marine item - however they did not have any. West Marine is more interested in selling pool toys than boat supplies. Im going to stop coming here because they never have the basics.

I went to buy a drain plug and came out with couple of other cool fishing "accessories " I found to be on the low knowing the store. I guess I got lucky :) quality boat & water accessories 😉

Typical West Marine. Overpriced and unwilling to place the customer before poorly designed products. I bought a Bird-B-Gone and base at this location yesterday. While lifting the two units on top of my Bimini, the bottom half popped off and fell in the water. There is no warning or instructions indicating how (or how not to) lift the Bird-B-Gone. Maria, the manager at San Pedro West Marine, was unwilling to replace or meet me half way on a new unit. Despite me spending thousands of dollars at this store, Maria doesn’t think it’s a good idea to refund a $50 dollar poorly designed product. Perhaps corporate WM gives their managers no power to make their own decisions, which might explain why the employee turnover is so high. Unless you have a port supply account, or your boat is sinking and you need a part ASAP, go to ICON, Captain’s locker, or Amazon, where the prices are cheaper and customer loyalty means something.

I hate going to West Marine. It's like going to a store where everyone knows exactly what they need and where it is. I've never seen an associate helping or even talking to a customer. The cashier had to come from the back to help me pay for the stuff I needed. And everything seems to be marked up and over priced because it's "marine".
