Went into petco today to get my daughter a hamster and the “store manager” refused to sell me any hamster and said it was store policy that he needed to see my setup before he can sell me a hamster. Mind you I’ve bought her a hamster from them a year ago! We have a large cage with almost everything needed for it except for the food which I told him I was going to place an order on Amazon for a same day delivery because the prices were high there and I could get what I needed for half the price on Amazon! He said he needed to see me place the order in front of him at this point I was getting upset and found it very weird the way he was acting. Never have I ever had this issue before nor has anyone I know.

I used to take my Huskies to Petco grooming every 2 months. After the change in management and personal its never been the same. I made an appointment for the day after Christmas for the works including deshedding and verified my contact info. All reminders were sent to the wrong number. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment (my fault). By the time I was waited on it was 15 minutes late. While waiting in line my pup was sniffing the dog in front of us. The groomer insisted we keep the dogs separated. The couldn't even sniff! Petco encourages you to bring your pet in while you shop so this reaction stunned me. The other thing is they scheduled only 30 minutes for grooming. My Husky is 60 pounds! Washing, trimming his nails and brushing his teeth takes longer then 30 minutes. They couldn't even wash him because they had someone scheduled at 10. Before the change in management they scheduled 2 hours for 1 dog. I was happy and my dogs were happy and looked beautiful. I will never go back for grooming services.

Callean is worth every penny! Please leave gratuity!!! I saw her interact with my Cat Milo that was deemed an aggressive Predator by others. She 1st clipped his nails upon arrival while kissing him. My heart melted. He was made calm. Then She placed him in the Kennel. Called me 3 hrs later. Milo was clean beautiful and happy. He looked better than ME. He loved his grooming

I absolutely 💯 loved the way the young lady introduced herself to Tinkerbell and I so kind and she instantly knew my dog was nervous. She got down on the ground to reassure Tinkerbell, best experience by far. I was taking Tinkerbell to her Veterinarian for grooming not anymore Petco from now on. And I can't remember the young lady name but 10 stars and she's the reason I will return.

I have tried to schedule an appointment two times already and at this point I've given up. They sent me two texts reminders prior to the appointment in which I confirmed them both, yet the day of the appointment they decided to give me a half hour notice that they wanted to change my 1:45pm appointment to 8:15am and notified me at 7:30am that day. I'm normally not a person to write reviews or complain, but come on this was literally so frustrating and I just wanted my dog to get a haircut. Definitely would not recommend booking here.

Autumn did a great job trimming my dogs nails and was very sweet. But she said the groomer from Torrance store had posted not to groom dog because she felt she was old so I cannot come back. Yes my dog is aging but I walk her 1 mile everyday. Her vet says her heart and lungs are very strong. She eats 5 times a day. She is a very Happy, friendly, sweet dog. I bathe her all the time and she is very good and calm. So I am not sure why petco is discriminating against my dog. You only groom young dogs? She doesn't bite or growl. I have shopped at petco the entire time I have had this dog and the 4 before her. Always supported your store. Extremely disappointed that petco would refuse future grooming for my dog. You have lost my business and I will definitely post your policy for everyone to know. Seems very bad business ethics. Discrimination!!

So far, we've only had our dog's nails trim by Colleen, who is very friendly with our dog. She took the time to put our dog at ease before the appointment.

I have taken my dog, Lady, for grooming many times. I am always very pleased with their service. She always looks great. The staff is always polite and cheerful. So pleased, that I am taking my other dog for grooming.

Booked online 1st and was told that it did not go through when we showed up. Made the appointment in-person. The appointment got changed twice with less than one hour notice. Bad!!! Don't think even going to shop there any more.
