We've had 2 experience with Petville so far, Grooming and Daycare. Both experience were great. Grooming was excellent, our pup looked so clean and refreshed. Groomer called and notified us of a delay, which moved our appt to another timeslot WELL AHEAD of time which helped us plan the rest of our day. Daycare was also great, we can tell our pup had fun and made a new BFF best fur friend. Ciera is very sweet and really excel in customer service. We have to give her props.

We had a bad encounter today with a young mixed African-American woman who works here. She was aggressive when we informed her that we had no reservations and huffed and puffed like it was the most inconvenient thing in her life. She also started slamming doors and her demeanor was dark and angry.But the past three times I came, she was in an awful mood mostly coming from hating her job?The first two times we came, we passed it off as “having a bad day” but three times is too many in a row.We put our cat in her “cat cottage” and we noticed how they had the window open while it was 55 degrees out and raining. The room that my cat stayed in felt like a meat freezer. We left and came back shortly after finding other accommodation. A different receptionist was very nice and understanding that we didn’t feel comfortable with letting our cat stay here with the previous employee and in the freezing room. She then proceeded to give me the balance of a grand total of 24$, charging me for the whole day. I told her that I could only pay for the two hours that she was here, not for the whole day. That was when the mixed African-American employee w/the beady Lil eyes came in and said “No it’S sTiLl gOiNg tO bE 24$!”. I don’t even work here and I’m the one de-escalating her by explaining, “I will not be speaking with you because you are aggressive”. She continued to antagonize me and tell me its because I did not making a reservation (while there not being single cat inside the kennels). I’d be understanding if they had full kennels but to my surprise walking in, they were all empty. I then had to inform her again that I will not be speaking with you. The furious employee tried to walk into the cat room and say “WeLl it’S sTilL gOinG tO bE 24!”, then started slamming doors. I simply said “no” and refused to interact with a condescending person. The receptionist was kind enough to remove the amount because of what was witnessed with that aggressive employee.

I’ve been using their service for about a year now and I’ve had very few, if any problems with them except a single employee. It’s a female African-American that just always seems miserable and aggressive. Our final straw was when we came in without a reservation and the employee acted like we were the cause of ALL her life problems from the day she was born. The cat cottages were freezing, probably 20 degrees cooler than the lobby because the fans were on and the windows were open…while it was raining. Another employee was more understanding with our concerns and helped, while the agitated worker was escalating the situation.Saw a “Hiring” sign in front but it seems that the wrong employee is still there. If you hate your job that much, why even stay? If you go into work expecting a miserable day you’re going to find every reason to think that and everyone will feel that radiating from you.

My dogs always seem to come home exhausted, traumatized, and severally underweight. Sometimes I wonder if they're even feeding my dogs or giving my dog's food away to customers that pay to get food from them. Some employees seem unhappy. It also seems like they (employees) don't stick around too long. I'd really like to know the deal with this place. Location is the only reason why to take my dogs here, but I can't leave them too long because they wouldn't last long. I also never get to see where the put my dogs.

Our 1 year old Brittany got to vacation at the Petville Hotel for the first time. I think he enjoyed it. Our two previous dogs always had a good time there

I’m not normally one to post about local businesses, but my experience with this boarding facility was far from good. Upon drop off, I was informed that my dogs would not have access to a potty area unless I upgraded to the “VIP play” plan ($8 per dog, per 15 minutes, per day) on top of the normal boarding fee. Otherwise they would have to go potty in their small dog run. I asked if they would send picture updates once or twice during their 9 day stay (all other boarding facilities we’ve used have provided this without request) they said not unless I upgraded to yet an additional “VIP” package. They charged me $30 per dog for an exit bath, however one of my pups still had dried feces all over his backside. They did refund the $30 for his bath once I called and told them (the only positive part of my experience). I’m pretty sure the exit bath didn’t included soap because they both smelled terrible upon pick up. I was told their bath was given to them the day before pickup, however they were super wet when I picked them up, and I’m not sure why. We have boarded at a lot of different places, and never had a bad experience per se. My dogs are definitely my babies, and I know that no boarding facility will ever be like home for them. However, the fact that my pups couldn’t even go potty in a decent area unless I paid extra was so frustrating. Very dissatisfied with my experience and do not recommend.

I've left my cats here about three different occasions that i went out of town. Each stay has been between 3-5 day and I am always satisfied with their service. I always leave both my cats together in a cat suite. It always looks clean also. Most recently I left my cats this past weekend for 5 days, Missy was at the front desk at the time of the check in and check out. She was very sweet, polite and professional. Thank you so much!

We’ve been happy customers for more than 10 years at this facility. Our dogs love it here and they’ve always been cared for with kindness. Our current dogs attend doggy daycare most days of the week and always get excited when they go. We ended up with 2 rescue puppies this past year and Petville has been a great help in socializing them. Our Husky mix also really loves the pool.The daycare is a great value when compared to some of the larger daycares in the area. The owner and employees are friendly and helpful and we appreciate their personal approach.

We have taken our dogs to Petville for years for daycare and for boarding. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and professional, and we never worry about our pets while they are there. The cost is reasonable and the facilities are great. They are (thankfully) sticklers for vaccinations, which is comforting. Our dogs are incredibly excited every time we drop them off, because the get to have hours of (supervised) play with their canine friends. And the pool is a big hit! Petville also offers on-site grooming, which is very convenient. Come for a tour and you and your furry family members won't be disappointed.

I've brought my puppy here for doggy daycare a few times and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The facility is a good size and very clean. My pup enjoyed making friends and she will definitely be back.

Whenever my wife and I travel we bring our dog here. They love her and always take great care of her, and she enjoys going there(unlike the vet!). The play area has a small doggy pool and a bunch of toys for the dogs to play with and is always kept clean. They also have grooming options. Don't have any cats, so I can't really speak for that side of things.

The dog groomer Karen Lutz is great. Our little doggie loves being groomed by her and gets really excited as we drive up! Everyone else there is very nice and well and we wouldn't hesitate boarding our pup there if the need arises. Highly recommended!

You can tell that the employees love their jobs and the animals. I appreciate hearing stories about my animals. However, even though they got a bath before checkout .... they smelled so bad that I had to give them another bath outside before letting them into the house. I still have their bedding outside. I'm debating on throwing it away because it stinks so bad. It smells like they were marinating in their poop for days. I understand that this is a busy time of the year. But, when I smell that kind of stench on my dog it makes me feel/think that they weren't being taken care of properly.

We've been taking our dog here for years, maybe a few times a year. Everytime they remember us and our dogs name. Best care she has gotten. Still bring her here even though we moved 45 minutes away because the attention and level of care she receives compared to other kennels we've used is outstanding.

Like Disneyland for dogs! Very clean, well kept play area with a variety of structures for dogs to play on as well as a walk in pool with fountain jets spraying into the deep end. Our dogs had an absolute blast, can't wait to bring them back here!

I love Pet ville! My goldendoodle loves going to day camp to play with all her friends. She loves the loving staff. They treat her like family. I also love the way I can schedule on Monday to have her play at camp and then get fully groomed. She loves the groomer as well. She done a excellent job with her especially since Charlee Rose is a puppy. Well she's now 11 months old..I take advantage of the half price days offered each month and leave her there all day while I can run my errands.

Kenneled our cat here for three months while we traveled. On our return, our cat showed that she loved the staff by head bumping and following them around. During our cat's stay, my parents visited once a week at random times and said the place was always clean and that our cat looked well.

My favorite place to leave my baby when we go out of town. Just wish they would be open for a couple hours Sunday mornings for pick ups or drop offs.

This incident below did indeed happen, but the owner reached out to me and spoke with me on the phone about it. She apologized for my experience wanted to hear how she could better improve her business. I do not rate this place based on my experience with one person but my experience speaking with this owner afterwards.I was recently puppy sitting for a friend. She told me if need be I should take her dog into Pet Ville Hotel if I needed to leave the house for extended periods of time while shes out on vacation. I called ahead of time to be sure things were ok for me to take her in. The lady who answered the phone was very kind and told me that no matter what the doors closed at 4 pm (Saturday) confirmed by her manager. I said ugh ok I've never been there. Rushed for time we jump in the car. It wasn't far at all, it took us around 10 min. We arrived at 3:55 and walk in, the door was unlocked. Because the pet had been there before there was no need for us to warn them about anything, everything should be as is in her files. But the other lady behind the desk started to argue with me the moment I walked through the door saying they were closed. I said to her "you close the doors at 4 yes?" We made it! Not pleased with my cheerful attitude she went on guilt tripping me about the process they needed to do to check the pet in. Her tone was so rude and practically yelling. Claiming she wouldn't be fed and wouldn't go out to pee. I said "Oh my god then I will take her and cancel my plans, I cant believe you wont be feeding her." I didn't know this place out right leaves the dogs un-attended in kennels? Some people may be ok with this type of boarding but I surly WONT be taking my dog to this place EVER. I couldn't believe the attitude I received from the Manager of this place. The other woman behind the desk took charge and helped me to get things sorted out. I let her know how grateful and sorry I was to cause a problem I truly thought the process would be simple, this is not my first rodeo. In my experience with many different pet boarding places around San Marcos and Oceanside, the people are willing to work with you and everything is kept in files on each pet. For returning pets the process is easy. I literally had to fill out one piece of paper. The total time it took was 10 min and 5 min was the manager yelling at me.

very clean facility including playground and a pool. i cannot speak for the inside of the building as we were too busy playing around outside. staff seemed insanely friendly and welcoming to repeat visitors and newcomers alike.
