Meadows is a special find- It is a family business. I have a shy dog and had been places that were loud&hectic with stressed groomers and dogs so I APPRECIATE very much the atmosphere here that is friendly and kind. I also have a dog with skin allergies and they have no problems when I ask they use my specific products. They are efficient and I have always been happy with their services. Not once have any dog ever come home with hot spot! I recommendMeadows often and will continue bringing my girls here !

Today was my second visit. The people at this location are genuinely kind, conscientious, truly animal people who take phenomenal care of all of our pets. The cost, professionalism and care they provide is perfect for what your pet receives. I can tell my pet will enter next time she goes because she knows they treat her with love and care!!!

When we moved to San Marcos I found Meadows across the street. It's a great little hidden gem! They don't crate your dogs, they have a little pen that they hang out in. They've always been flexible with my schedule..even when I call at the last minute. I have 2 fur babies and they always take them at the same time. Julie is our go to groomer, she's great with them and they always come home clean and pretty! Prices are reasonable. I would strongly recommend them!

UPDATE: I updated my review from 1 stars to 3 because I was really happy with the followup from James. He reached out by phone and was very kind and sympathetic. He offered both to fix the grooming issues as well as a free groom on a following visit.While we weren't happy with the grooming initially, their customer service in response to a negative review was handled in the best way possible.______I never leave reviews (especially negative) but for the price ($55 after 10% off) and the time it took (4 hours for a dog under 10lbs), I couldn’t avoid it.The worst of it all was that despite there being long hairs left between the pads of his paws, his back left paw was cut, causing him to bleed and limp through the next day.The final result on our dogs body is fine, but the details are bad. For example, we asked for a short cut on his ears and snout (and showed pictures), but the ears are extremely choppy and his snout was left long.The tail was left untouched, and there are a number of random long patches left, including right under his tail in a very obvious spot.This was our first time here, and considering the price and how nice the staff was, I had relatively high expectations. I was pretty disappointed, and was sad to see my dog in pain after grooming.

Had our first groom with them today. Our Golden Retriever has never come out of a grooming so clean, happy, and with no shedding! They did an awesome job and staff was very kind and friendly. :)

They really care about your animals here. I needed a emergency wash for my cat. Once I explained what the situation was they didn't hesitate to have me come in. I am so grateful for them doing this. When I came to get my cat he was just laying there on the stand letting them brush (he will NOT do this for me) with no issues . Thank you all so much!

Loved his haircut!!! However I asked for de shedding and I don’t think that did anything as he’s still shedding same amount he did before his cut. Overall they left him looking great 😊

Super nice staff. You can tell they know what they're doing. My dog is a bit of a baby when getting his nails trimmed and tends to get stressed out depending on his surroundings. She went in with confidence, it was a very pleasant experience for the both of us. His nails look fantastic and at a price that I haven't seen anywhere else.

We have three dogs and two of them we frequently take to get groomed. We have been going here since they opened and we could not be happier with every experience! We love that the grooming is done out in the open so you can actually see what’s going on. One of our dogs can be nippy when you handle his feet. But they say he always does great with them! Everyone there is always friendly and they take such good care of our babies. They’re also very accommodating for last minute appointments. I highly recommend this place!

UPDATE to response from owner: I was not the one who picked up my dog- it was my husband, so not sure who the "she" is that they are referring to - I have only been here once or twice and was overly friendly and a high tipper. Also, the last time my husband was here and the groomer was unfriendly to my husband yet again, I decided to leave a review. But, I deleted it because I hate to give a small business a bad review just because the employees had a few bad days. Heck, I'm not even giving them a 1, even though they aren't being honest! Ha! We use another groomer in the area, and have used these guys because our groomer books far out and these guys are cheaper and always have openings (go figure!), so have used them in between when needed. Anyway, I don't appreciate the dishonesty about the "rudeness" and that I had never left a review before. The reason they blacklisted me was likely for the review, they just couldn't remember because I deleted it, and decided to blame "me" being "rude".Original Review:Prices aren’t bad, they do a mediocre job every other time, unfriendly customer service (we had a horrible experience with one groomers attitude a couple times but I chalked it up to them having a bad day!), dog is terrified of this particular office. We’ve been if we are in a pinch and need our dog in quickly, but overall I wouldn’t recommend.

Xena is elderly and suffers from arthritis. Kristen, who she loves, does such a good job bathing and trimming her. Xena always looks so cute when she's done. Only place I will go♥️

Awesome groomer! My dog tends to be very nervous and has been here four times since we've had him he's about a year old now and they have really gone out of their way to make him comfortable and make sure that he does not stress out when he comes in. Their prices are amazingly affordable and they're located in a nice little small strip mall area. Highly recommend.

I was referred to Meadows by my vet and I absolutely love them! My cat had fleas and they took him in last minute and cleaned him up. They we're so nice and they took good care of my kitty. They were gentle with him and now he looks and smells great. They even gave him an adorable bandana! I will definitely be back!

Julie is AMAZING! We've tried so many groomers for our Border Collie and we are so happy to have found one that not only does such amazing work, but is clean, honest, and trustworthy. Here your dog isn't cared for behind a wall or in a room where you cant see what's happening, here everything is out in an open space and everyone is super friendly. Couldn't be happier.

Kristen has been grooming my 3yr old poodle mix since he was a little puppy and she always takes extra care with her clients. I am always happy with the results and have known her to be an excellent groomer over the past 10 years. My dog gets excited when he sees her so I know she gives him a fun and gentle experience.

We love the service that Meadows Pet Care delivers!After shampooing and cutting clients hair all day, the last thing I want to do is wash the dog. Julie and James are the best! They take very good care of my Doodle Molly. Grooming a doodle is work and there is technique involved. They never poodle my doodle! They do an excellent job for a fair price. The shop is always clean and they have great customer service. I highly recommend Meadows grooming services!

I have a 7 year old shih tzu, I been taking her here for a few months. Last time I took my pup to get groom Dan was the groomer and my dog has not stopCrying when I try picking her up, Dan definitely injured my pup some how by being way to rough with her. I also spoke to Dan on the phone and his response was “it wasn’t me”Horrible responseI will never bring my pup to this groomer everAnd if you do visit that shop get anyone but DanWorse groomer ever.

Always have had a good experience here. All my dogs love the place. A bit on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for. All my cuts have been perfect. I have 2 yorkies and 2 labradoodles.

Meadows Pet Care has serviced our Australian Shepherd and both of our Tuxedo Cats. They do excellent work and our animals are not stressed out by the experience. Our dog, Scout, looks forward to his visits. I cannot say that our cats, Scrapper and Magykl look forward to their baths and haircuts.....but then no cat does. However, they were very calm, loving and affectionate after their visit and that counts a GREAT DEAL! Highly recommend!!

You can't go wrong with a 5 star experience! Happy dogs, happy owner... will keep going here for many good reasons! They've created a very comfortable atmosphere for dogs & their people. This is the only place my older yorkiepoo has been happy before she saw me. I'm sold!

I love this place and I know Rex ( my giant schnauzer) does too. I'm so glad he decided to open his own shop. The shop is always clean, and I have never seen Rex caged in a little Crete waiting to be groomed, I hate that. I would highly recommend James and his crew. THE BEST
