A lot of staff in this store are friendly but the deli staff are lazy and rude. A number of times I’ve been ignored while waiting, twice recently I have waited and then left without ordering. Like yesterday when the only man bothering to serve finished with a customer, turned his back to where I was standing and proceeded to look at his phone. After a minute or so I said “excuse me”. He replied “yes?” without lifting his eyes from his phone or turning to face me. In his own time he turned and asked what I wanted. It was remarkably unfriendly and unenthusiastic so I said “never mind” and left the store. If staff are this unenthused it doesn’t give me faith in the quality & hygiene of the counter food and I will not try again. Another lady stood there and did nothing. I saw nobody who looked managerial. Wholefoods is a better deli experience with chatty staff.

Closest grocery store to our rental. It's really well stocked, and the fruit truck had been there earlier, so the fresh fruit was beautiful! I found the employees to be friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The store was pretty clean for as busy as it was. Happy to have found this store!

The remodeling is nice but it seems more aisles are now in the same floor space. Feels cramped. I also regret seeing that they no longer have a section dedicated to local products. The local products they still carry, fewer than before, are now dispersed throughout the store. All in all, though, it’s a better option than the other big box grocery stores.

Now I'd like to say that Vons normally has a good selection, but this place for Vons is massive. I only come here when I'm passing through San Luis Obispo, but when I do I happily find literally everything I could hope to get while grocery shopping. The place is clean including the bathroom, and the clearance section is very large too because I like finding deals 😁

Worst vons I've ever been to. Regularly out of stock of basic ingredients like kosher salt and black peppercorns. Recently bought several items that definitely weren't properly refridgerated before purchase because they had spoiled in the packages. I'm driving across town to get my groceries from now on.

Made a mobile order on Dec 1. Expedited delivery. Food was marked as delivered. But it was never delivered. Have put in multiple requests for refund. Vons claims I was refunded. But here I am 2 weeks later and I have not received a refund. Incredibly unhappy with this stores service. Do not use the mobile ordering app. It's a scam.

Have been to this location dozens of times, mostly just to get a single food item (like YOUR awesome select pizzas), and a pup cup on the way out at the Starbucks mini store. I have NEVER had any issues, until today.When getting to the pick-up counter, Molly tried to step up and put her paws near the client's food/drink, and I quickly pulled her back and rebuffed her. As I was doing so, the client that the order was for arrived from my left, and picked up her items. We had a quick laugh, about the dog thinking it was her order, and that was it.Until your supervisor MARK, felt the need to raise his voice from checkstand 7 to tell me that bc of this one occurrence, my dog Molly was banned from the store. Mark thought it was acceptable to do that in front of his customers in line, and without any warning or conversation.I took my dog out to the car, and came back in to seek accountability for Mark's behavior, and to see if Mark is even in a position to set store policy.He looked over at me when I got near checkstand 7, and I asked him who was his in-building leadership, he attempted to say HE would be one of those ppl. I tried to explain clearer, bc his actions had already shown me that he's not leadership. (Most polite thing I can say is, he's not 'dressed' the part.) He then, after much difficulty, produced the name Matt. I asked why there was so much confusion to name his mgr, and his reply was, "he's new."After a radio page from some associates, Matt arrived near the customer service desk. THIS is a leader, and I'm not talking about JUST being dressed for it. He did a great job during our whole conversation, and didn't protest when I said that a 1star review was still on its way. Integrity in leadership is essential.I explained what happened to Matt, and he was receptive and understanding, and said that he'd be speaking to Mark later on.The Starbucks kiosk apologized as well on the way out, and gave me a new pup cup for Molly. They seemed confused as to why it was said too.I will be following up with Matt and I also told him of my interest in speaking to district staff about this as well. I will update my review if I get clarification that Mark is not in a position to set policy, as well as that he has a firm grasp on the concept of customer hospitality.With the EXCEPTION OF MARK, this location is great.Photo of Molly enjoying her last pup cup otherwise.

Not even 30 seconds after walking in the door. Kelly,Kelli (spelling) started following me around every single aisle I went. I recorded video of her popping up on th background everytime I went around the corner. I had done nothing but walk into the store a black male. Place racist!! At least Kelly/Kelli is for sure. Supposed to be beyond profiling these days..Only stopped following me after they saw I knew someone who worked in the store (family member)Kelly should be let go.re: I tried to find the contact us page but it's really difficult to navigate it and doesn't show any email or chat areas. I can call the store or if you tell me an email address I can email. Thanks for responding.

I'd like to think that Vons is going to either put these into greenwaste at Cold Canyon, or give them to the food bank or somewhere useful and not just trash them. That's a whole lot of pumpkins the day after Halloween.

I love almost everything about vons except for this: no matter what Vaughn store I'm shopping at there is always a wait in line. If I'm buying alcohol for example I have to go through a line I can't do self checkout and there's always a long line they don't open up enough of the checkouts ever and that's why I avoid Vons many times not always but most of the time I avoid Vons because of that I don't even mind the higher prices that they charge at their store because they do have good products and it's a good store and good produce but I can't stand waiting in line where the lines go all the way back into the darn foof aisles!

Went to Vons pharmacy for vaccines. The pharmacy was great, and the pharmacist administered the shots so well I could barely feel them.

Vons usually has a wide variety of food options. Their prices can be a little bit higher than some other locations, but overall seem to be fair. They do seem to have a very wide selection of meats, fish, and they even had an octopus last time I went there

The staff working the daytime registers are not the nicest people. The poor customer service from these employees is a big factor when deciding to shop here or not. Aside from them, this is your average Vons grocery store. The store is clean, the aisles are accessible, the shelves are stocked with fare amounts in variety. The Deli is Great, the staff here are the best and the selection is deliciousThis Vons has fairly recently installed a few badly needed self checkout registers. Which has eased some of the wait that happens during checkout, which was and can still be a long wait during the rush hour times.

There has been a complete remodel. It has been rough learning the new layout of a store I knew by heart, but the upgrades have made the store better. The staff is friendly, and the new layout is definitely an upgrade. Many of the refrigerators have been upgraded or cleaned up. The experience has been good so far.

It’s not Vons fault that all their staff is elderly SEIU Union. The service is horrible. Management is no where to be found. What’s going on here. I was in line and the lady said she was closed and there were no more open lanes. So another lady reluctantly changed lanes and opened up.I go to the meat counter and there is no one at all there, same with the Deli. I guess they just don’t have any competition. This place is awful.

The flowers girls are fun, sociable and knowledgeable. Sharon in the bakery Sept 12 was a very good and unique person to talk with as I picked up a decorated birthday 1/4 carrot cake. Jeremiah was wearing his lavender Vons Wine Steward shirt while getting 12 Olde Shandon Port Works Port Syrah, at $14.99 each for 6 or more, boxed for me. He is a very good friendly Vons asset. Mark was shelving in the fruit-veggie area. Marie B was great at the register, while Alyssa helped to load my heavier water and wine items into the car. On second trip with a friend, same Sept 12, Joe helped at self checkout and I saw Marie B again to her sweet surprise.SAGE, friendly sweet new guy at register Aug. 16.Kevin Kennemann is the latest very friendly SLO Vons store director who I met and spoke with in one aisle recently in passing.Mason is my butcher for stew beef in large packages. Got two giant slices of filet mignon last time.Joe, Mark, Marie, Jefferson, Indigo, and Jeremiah with a very deep voice, and more, are really great Vons employees,My Happy Birthday cake had that saying iced by a bakery employee.Howard in bakery iced a very colorful festive birthday cake for 3 persons on 1/4 carrot sheet cake.Vons eclairs are chocolatey and creamy yum 😋. But they have gotten smaller with less chocolate and only 6 to the pack when it used to be 7 eclairs for $6.00. Inflation is negative for normal lower incomers.Rockstar energy drinks I stock up during 99 cent sales. Starbucks lattes in store with friendly staff. Got $1.00 off any Starbucks with clip deal online.

Great prices, excellent selection. I am particularly impressed with their produce - which is outstanding for a chain store.They recently went through a major facelift. And it's very slick and nice. Although I don't know where anything is anymore. 😂

It's a great place to shop always plenty of everything even Turkeys for Thanksgiving! It's where I bought my 23 pounder to share with others that are lonely without family or friends around. It's nice to giveback to somebody when you can... I pray that you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I love shopping at Vons. Because. The store is clean. It has really good Deli food. Every ate sandwiches I buy I get the ninth one free The bakery makes fresh bread in house and the donuts are really good. It also has a Starbucks inside and a pharmacy the customer service there . I can load my NetSpend card . It has Western Union And dry cleaning service I can also cash my paycheck if I need to There's a Wells Fargo ATM, Redbox, lottery ticket machine, a key duplicator , a coin machine that turns your coins into dollarsI'like using coupons there and getting my rewards at the gas station. The customer service is always good and I feel I'm getting everything I need for a very good price

I love our local Vons especially the floral and balloon department! Their staff is always helpful especially sweet Jocelyn!!! For Thanksgiving, I needed some creative ideas for centerpieces but didn't want to spend too much. So when I asked Jocelyn what she recommended, she gave me the cutest fall color DIY centerpiece idea that didn't break the bank! Since we hosted Thanksgiving, I got tons of compliments all because of Jocelyn! Thank you Jocelyn for spending extra time with me and coming up with such a good idea!!

We called to get a cake for a co-worker. The gentleman repeated Everything back to be sure they had it all correct. We picked up the cake and it was SO beautiful and very inexpensive and very good!!! Thank you Vons bakery!!! Sorry you are short staffed, but you really came through in spite of it all. ❤️❤️❤️

I was treated badly by this Vons in San Luis Obispo. My online order didn't go through. I don't shop at this location they allowed me to. They humiliated me in front of the entire store. Every employee didn't want me to shop there. They asked me if I was almost done. They bagged my groceries inappropriately bags too heavy. I was asked not to shop there previously because, I have a Mental Illness thats discrimination. A Manager hung up on me over, over. Bad language was used previously too.Valerie😥🙏🏼💔

Vons is a really nice store. The people working there are just fantastic. So helpful, never impatient or too busy. It's a beautiful, well stocked grocery supply store. There's no way you shop here & come home without everything on your list-no matter how detailed, elaborate unique the items you require are!! We traveled for 15 minutes just to shop there-we live in San Luis, too!
