Really cute and cool pet store in downtown SLO. We came in to browse and thank ultimately buy our dog his birthday cake. His last birthday cakes/treats, he never really finished them. He demolished his cake, ate every bite. Happy that the dog cakes also don’t spoil easy, you can keep them at room temperature.Staff was super friendly assisting us.

Im a trainer here in SLO and we have always used Tails as a first stop for dog supplies! We have bought Dozens of slip leads and other miscellaneous dog training items over the years from them! They have an awesome selection for the size of their store!! We also love that they have an adorable baked goods section! Small but well stocked pet store. My cat tends to be a bit picky with the toys he'll actually play with, but the person running the shop was able to help me pick a variety of things that might work and they all did. I'm very happy with all my purchases here as is the little monster. Friendly and helpful staff at this shop.

Really cool let store where obviously pets are welcome. You can guarantee there will be a few doggos or kitters on sure for mandatory pets. Great local shop with a really good selection of food, accessories, leashes, etc. I always come here for our dog's birthday because they have frozen dog cakes. Only place I know that carries them. Plus, they offer a birthday discount for other items, how cute! Anyhow, check them out...really cool place.

This is one of the best pet stores I’ve ever been in! I forgot the name of a dog food my dog really loved and Kennedy was so nice to search the store for us. THANKYOU KENNEDY!!!

What a great dog shop to check out! Lots of pet accessories and variety. Only downside is that the pet treats weren’t grain-free from what we were told at the counter so couldn’t buy any on our visit.

Very high-quality inventory, from food to treats to toys, the collection has been very thoughtfully curated. The owner here is eager to help (no matter how many questions you throw at him), he's very knowledgeable and super sweet! Dogs are welcome and will most likely be spoiled by the staff. It's a great pet store!

Such a cute little boutique with things for dogs and kitties! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Greeted every pup that came in with a treat! The selection of dog treats from the bakery was a nice variety!

This is the best pet store in town by far! They have a large variety of treats and toys. The prices are similar to the big name stores but they have better products overall! They carry a lot of US made products and are always looking for the latest and best stuff. They treat their regular customers (the dogs of course!) very special every time they come in to shop! The Manager Cee is the best! She always comes out to see my boy Tucker! She treats him special and he loves her!

Fabulous and very caring service by staff and the owner, who cares about all furbuddies including those to the Vehicular Dwellers and homeless.@PomPomMitzy loved the new food version by Honest Kitchen. Here's hoping it works as well or better than how the original Honest Kitchen food worked a good while back. Yes, she still loves the "Coco Bears"treats by them, too. :DThey have a doggy spa available, too.Excellent location.

Really cute, higher-end shop with lots of toys, leashes, treats, food, clothes, etc. for your dog or cat. However, I'm really unimpressed with their customer service and management. The staff definitely doesn't go above and beyond with friendliness or customer satisfaction, so disappointed in that regard.

I really like Tails, they offer Acana & Orijen food which are the best brands out there for pet food. Employees are nice, prices aren’t marked up too high which is really nice for a small store. However, I was disappointed to see that they sell prong collars here. I’ll come here for odds and ends, but as long as prong collars are sold here I’ll probably just continue ordering from PetFlow.

Good pet store, but no policy for keeping customers safe from COVID-19. Felt very uncomfortable, employee nor customers wearing masks & no limit on the number of customers allowed in the store which is very concerning considering the store is very small & impossible to social distance
