I love this store and the guys that work here didn’t treat me any different since I’m a female. Hubby and I drive from an hour away to dump off our old military gear. Honestly I didn’t expect payment. If we weren’t moving I would’ve taken the store credit! It’s a small store but everything is clean and easy to find. There were a lot of things I hadnt seen since I was young because my father also served in Vietnam. Anyway, I love the variety of items, cleanliness of the store, and the service. They deserve five stars all the way.

Love this place, I just browse about once a month. I have purchased boots, sleeping bags, camp stoves, fuel, stickers, rope, etc. from this place. Great prices, wonderful staff! Can't say enough great about this place! Lots of military surplus, and lots of new, top of the line gear also.

Folks behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. They fixed the clip on a knife that I had bought from them, no muss, no fuss. Quality equipment that they stand behind! She also pointed out a new version of my knife and showed me a couple other first-rate knives while I was there. You never know what might come in handy!

I travel the us mostly the west coast.I've bought a USMC poncho liner, boots, and an assault pack from here. They also let me trade in my surplus Alice pack and gave me a good deal! I took 3 of my bench made knives in for the life sharp and only recieved back 2 of them. They did nothing to try an reconcile the issue. They simply asked if I knew the model number of the missing knife and because I couldn't produce it they said there was nothing they could do. It is too bad they did this because I like to support local businesses. I am now out a 2-300 dollar knife. I will not be shopping there again.Response to owner's comments: First off, you did not find a middle ground. You said you did not have the recordings from that date. You also said that you had nothing else you could do. Also the only reason you have never misplaced a knife is because I brought back the box of customers knives you sent to my house. I was honest enough to bring that back. As for your handicap shaming. Shame on you, I am handicap and I have handicap license plates.

Was passing by looking for a knife I can use to shuck oysters since i was desperate to just get whatever would work.The lady at the counter helped me look for a proper oyster shucker at another store and even called them and got all the information I need. That is amazing customer service in my books.Thank you SLO Camp n pack. You are truly a gem in San Luis Obispo.PS. I walked out with a quality knife anyways.

This place is amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable and they have a large selection of used and new military surplus items. Also great for campers and collectors or a Soldier looking for tabs and badges, and dog tags they have them here. Five stars ☆☆☆☆☆ Hooah!
