It's been awhile since I have shopped at Ralphs. But they have some things that I cannot find elsewhere, so I went back. And since I was here, I decided to do my weekly shopping. The variety is great. The floral department is wonderful. Produce is very good. But oh their prices are comparatively high. I typically shop at Food 4 Less or Vons, and prices at those two stores are significantly lower. Doubt I will go back for my weekly shopping. I'll just go back to pick up the couple of things that I can't get elsewhere.

Every Sunday we go shopping for the week. They never have meat, this was this morning (picture below). We buy $450 worth of food/week there. We didn’t even have a bagger today and had to bag ALL that food on our own. One more thing, and then I’m done venting, it was buy one get one free vitamins. Got home and found out we actually spent more on that one bottle then 2 bottles worth anywhere else.

For the most part, I really like this store. It's usually well-stocked, clean, and the employees are very friendly and helpful.I hate to single out one person, but I'd have to say that one of the guys that works in the produce section is less than "friendly and helpful". He seems to always be grumpy unwilling to help.One day, I pointed out that some oranges were moldy. He just kind of shrugged his shoulders and went on with what he was doing. It's a shame. If you hate your job, maybe it's time to do something else. I'll still shop there, but I'll usually get my produce somewhere else.

1 star because the MOD on duty was childishly rude to me. He did not have to speak to me the way he did nor say "now go ahead & pay with your EBT" loud enough so other people could hear. The cashier just looked at me like an abused child. Otherwise the store looked nice.

Guess this will be the last time here. Went in a few days ago and no checkers. Talked with the gentleman working self check and had him call a checker. It seemed from my conversation that they weren't going to staff that position anymore. Went in this morning and no checkers. Drove to Von's and they had three checkers working. Good customer service. When I got home I checked last years credit card and I had spent $9,000 there. That's not much for them but the more that figure out Von's is better it will grow. Major companies (Walmart, Target, etc) are removing self check as a failure.

Big store which includes a butcher shop, bakery and deli.Only 4 stars because all too often when I get there after work around 6pm the dairy/juice section is low and out of many things. Sometimes it's wiped out. That dept. should be restocked before 5pm for all of us getting off work.

DO NOT COME HERE… RACIST CASHIER… Not sure what good this review will do but want to spread awareness. I am an Asian-American, and was recently said to be “under 21” at check out. My other Asian friends have also had this problem, all with the same cashier. She is a heavier-set older woman with short, patchy hair, typically working at night. Getting denied my age came as a shock to me, and I had no idea what to say, so I just left. Hopefully Ralphs is able to handle the situation with her because me and a very large asian community in slo will no longer be giving our business to this grocery store.

Honestly terrible customer service and really poorly thought out stocking of shelves. Large heavy water bottles on top shelf that has a 3” lip in front of them. Can barely reach them much less get them down. Had to get a vendor to help me as no real employees around. And this was a sale item. Only a couple checkers so went to self check out. The lady there is so rude. Wish I got her name because I would call her out here and now. Puddles of water in the bagging area. Dirty scanners Asked her for help and she did help albeit begrudgingly. Killed her with kindness but not one word from her and she still didn’t clean up the water. Lady find someplace to work that brings you joy.

This Ralphs location sucks. Everytime I go in there things are always in the wrong places. Or they are constantly out of some things. I even called before going there and was told they had plenty in stock only to get there and they were totally out, and then come to find out they were never in stock.So, the person lied to me and didn't even take the time to check to see if it was on the shelves. Also, don't ask any of the employees for any help either, they are not much help either.

I do love this place , great prices , and a good variety of products . The clearance rack is awesome. However , the hot food deli lacks something to be desired . Not only are they always out of product but the food that they do have is gross. You can always tell it's been sitting for multiple hours at a time! The complete so to speak

You know what's annoying? I go all the way across town to go to Ralph's in hopes that they will have really nice grapefruits and I need some other stuff too. I go to get a cart and the carts are all jammed together in both rows. I don't like to smash my fingers so I gave up. I go in the store and walk in the front to maybe tell somebody. No. They're all talking to each other earnestly. So I got a small basket. Got the things I needed most and left. Look Ralphs you are the most expensive regular grocery store in town. How about acting like it and making sure your carts aren't a mess as they were full of bits of trash and not jammed together so 60-something ladies like me could actually get a cart and go shopping? How about it?

I love going to Ralph’s, but our experience there with an employee was horrible. We arrived at 9PM, walked around, grabbed a few items, and realized we needed to use the restroom. We went to the front and asked an employee (woman, maybe in her 50’s, shoulder length frizzy hair), for the bathroom code. She rudely told us they don’t give out the code and that no one was available to go put in the code so we’d have to wait until someone was back from their lunch. We decided not to purchase anything and left the store. Went to the nearby McDonalds which was very nice inside and was able to use their clean restrooms.Whenever I’ve gone to a Ralph’s, the employees have always kindly provided the code so I was shocked to hear they wouldn’t provide it.

They expanded the store and have alot more options now. I much prefer ralphs over Smart and Final, twice the amount of options. Great rotisserie chickens and they also have quiches, good bakery items, good produce, and self checkout. Overall great place to shop $$ prices

We usually go to Vons, but decided to do our weekly shopping at Ralphs to see if it would be a little cheaper. Not only was it more expensive than Vons overall, but the produce section was extremely picked over and it was difficult to find anything that wasn't rotting. We avoided visiting on the weekend in the hopes that the produce would be fresh, but that didn't pan out...On top of that, the supply chain issues at this store are very evident. They were completely out of eggs that weren't broken, for example. The employees were very nice, but that's really the only positive thing I can say. We ended up giving up after getting half of what was on our grocery list, and went over to Vons for the rest. Will be avoiding at all costs in the future even though it's in a more convenient location for us.

Attempted Curb-side ordering today, and it was a truly epic fail. I ordered our groceries at 4pm and was offered pick-up between 8p-9p. It’s a little later than I’d normally go shopping, and the store is 25min away, but ok.I checked before leaving and the app showed “ready for pick-up at 8pm.I arrived at 8p on the dot (after giving a 15 minute arrival warning), told the app which spot I parked in, and was told the order was being prepared to bring out.8:30 rolled around and nothing. It’s Thanksgiving week and I figured they were probably busy, so I waited. After all, it did say pick-up was between 8p-9p.9pm I finally walked in and the manager informed me all “those people, who aren’t my department” left at 8pm. Took no responsibility and told me to call the store at 6am to let them know I need the order.QUESTIONS:WHY was the pick-up time even available if the entire department that manages curbside delivery would be gone?WHY did the app show my order was being prepared?When I arrived and stated “I am here” WHY did the app say it’s ready and they’d be right out???And WHY did the manager refuse to take any responsibility for what happened in her store?I’m a nice guy, and always willing to understand difficult situations, but this is an egregious fail and complete disrespect for the community you serve.

Someone please contact corporate about this..... Seriously.I was having trouble finding an item and my hands were full. Like a dummy I went in for one item and started grabbing everything lol. I asked someone where the castor oil is, they said uh I don't know. Then gave me the wrong isle. So I walked all over for no reason. I go back up to the front to ask for help again. This lady sees me looking confused/frustrated comes up to me and immediately asks if I need help. I was like "Do you work here?" She seemed too smart to work there honestly (no offense to grocery store workers). She not only shows me where the item was she walked me to it and helped me find it. Then, as my hands were full I couldn't pick up the item. Literally without a word she picked up the item and very politely grabbed some of the things that were falling out of my arms and carried them to the front of the store with no problem. She was actually 'happy' to help me and I didn't even have to ask!!! I haven't ever ever.... received customer service like this, literally anywhere ever. The voluntary kindness of someone intelligent enough to assess and mentally process and react to my need in such an exemplary way simply by reading my facial expression, having empathy and choosing to care, communication skills and rationality to handle it quickly, as well as patient temperance not to be a jerk or act put out at all (as most people fail in one or most of these aspects) almost made me cry.This is truly a mental process many people are either ignorant of or incapable of.The world desperately needs to learn what this person has to teach.I hope she gets promoted, raised, and that she becomes the owner of a huge company and makes millions of dollars!!!She is a brilliant empathetic person that takes pride in doing well at their job and excelling at being morally decent. A rare thing, she truly deserves to be a successful happy human being.Oh "Amanda"... That's her name. She is very bright and should be so much more than just a manager. She needs to be an owner! Incredible woman. Thanks Amanda!!! <3 <3 <3Please do something for this woman. Elevate her to make better companies! Use her ability for customer care at the highest level of organizations. She needs to have some sort of course or something where she can train all businesses on a national level on interacting with other human beings/customers in a rational quick witted polite professional way and with excellent temperance. I cannot reiterate that enough. She has a skill that the world desperately needs on many levels.If every company in the world had employees that use the same thought process and behaviors as Amanda this world would be a much much better place."I dub thee Amanda of Ralph's... ~The Queen of Human Resources~."

Great selection in all departments, good wine buys. Pleasant staff. Get the club card for better buys.very clean and spacious layout. Too bad the don't take Apple pay or Google pay, as part of Kroger they are trying to roll out their own competeting pay system.

Do NOT come here! The people who work here are rude and angry. There are so many better businesses to shop at so this should be a last resort. I will personally never be returning due to how rude and abrasive the customer service is. Please beware.
