I have a bunch of wholesale accounts for my dog training supplies but when I'm caught off guard and out of inventory PetSmart always had what I need. Especially the basics like crates, muzzles, food and the occasional seasonal item like the dog pool! Also cat harnesses and leashes!

They take short cuts w grooming. Very good at making it look like you got a total groom, while only trimming part of the dog. Two times i asked for specific length and they just trimmed part of her body and blended the rest completely skipping her face. I do not recommend this grooming at all.With in two weeks of the groom I had to start trimming her myself.

I rate three stars because it is understaffed. The staff themselves are a fun group of people. When they have had time for a conversation, many have pets and hobby fish keep themselves.I just wished they had time for a conversation and advice. They seemed swamped with stocking, responsibilities for care, managing the lines, and there seems to be call outs. I guess my questions to the staff would be, is there a best time to come in? Do they prefer us using the app for purchases? Does that make it easier?

Excellent source for dog and cat supplies, but I have a pet bird, and inventory was sadly lacking! Employees were very courteous, but the store seemed short staffed.

After 4 hours went in to check on my dog, groomer was just getting started on haircut. After another almost half hour I had to take my dog unfinished, I just could not wait any longer. When checking the 2 ladies in front of me brought their dog and was allowed to check in another in earlier than scheduled time. Saw this happen again when picking up my dog. Maybe if you didn’t check in other dogs in the early or stopped over booking the dog showing up on time might get finished timely. Manager tried to help but needless to say I will not be going back. Only have this problem at SLO location. So after 4.5 hours I paid $62 for an unfinished a haircut.

Do better Petsmart. This is just one photo I took on 04/08/23 of this Betta fish display. It shows a yellow “glow” betta in filthy conditions to the point where you can barely make out his silhouette. To begin with, all of the Betta fish were living in dirty water this day. This must have been going on for a while as all of the Betta fish seemed basically ready to die. In fact, there was a dead blue Betta on display. The whole display just seemed very neglected which is very unfortunate. I really do hope in the future management makes it a point to better prevent this issue. I’ve been to other Petsmart locations and I assure you they do not treat their Betta displays like this. I had to take my business to the Petco in Arroyo Grande.

Yes, this is a large corporation. Yes, we were the only customers in this vast store packed with everything you could imagine you might want for your pets or animals which you probably would keep indoors a portion of the time in most cases. Honestly you can spend as much money as you can imagine in this place or if you look carefully and go all the way to the back you can find some really good deals for those on a budget like ourselves. I generally like the shopping experience towards the end of the day in fact right before closing time. The kind elder gentleman working in the store was very patient and considerate of us and asked us questions to make sure we were satisfied customers. We essentially just were there for pet food and I enjoyed the restroom which was very well maintained and large. I've got to say I sometimes prefer a more intimate, smaller, and private business environment, but this time I liked patiently absorbing this large corporate pet store with nearly anything you could imagine for pets at any cost. I recommend this PetSmart store if you like having a plethora of possibilities for your pets. It's also very conveniently located near Costco, Home Depot, and many other fine establishments. Come on by and check it out yourself. It's HUGE!...

This review is a 5 star for grooming and 4 for store. I have a standard schnauzer who has been groomed here for 2 years. The cut is consistently good. The groomer listens to what I am hoping for in a cut and when I pick him up, he looks great! Schnauzers are not easy to do considering their think mustaches and beards but each time they do a fantastic job.The reason for the 4 star is, the staff is friendly and the store is clean, but I wish they were a little bit more knowledgable about the pet foods. I have three dogs, all different ages and I needed help figuring out which food would best meet their needs and out of 3 people asked, no one was really able to help me. I was told that they are all good. I know it is hard to be informed about so many rows of various foods, I was just hoping for a little more help. All in all it is a nice store and I really appreciate that they offer grooming services.

Very disappointed. Asked to post a flyer advertising puppies I had for sale. I was told no and treated rudely. Pet department and Lemos were happy to accommodate me. Petco did not allow posting of flyers but were happy to show my flyer to customers. This store has a typical insensitive corporate attitude. Support local.

Prices for pet supplies have increased substantially over the past 5 years . One item recently went up 30 % overnight ! Be very selective on what you buy . In Florida , the state recently gave pet owners a break on pet supplies by reducing prices . DeSantis did that . But he IS NOT Governor Loathsome of this state .

There seems to be a variety of items to choose from but many items were out of stock. This was mostly in the area of small or exotic animals and birds. I did not see as many out of stock items for dogs and cats.Prices are a little high, but I was expecting that because I was in SLO. But it was a nice place to pick up quick, necessary items.

I love this place. I can take my dog in, they give her treats up at the register... Happy dog. And they've had everything I've needed so far. They even do grooming and some vet needs.

The grooming staff and service have always been exceptional. I just felt compelled to leave a review because I think people look down at the fact it's a big chain and probably expect less of the service, but I've been taking my girl there since she was a puppy and the staff are always very friendly and upbeat. They really seem to enjoy what they do. Everyone knows her name and they get excited when she comes in for her spa day. The prices are reasonable and it's easy to schedule an appointment.

Was in buying dog food with my daughter and we got up to the counter, I was genuinely surprised at the price my daughter pays for the Hills Science Diet. The employee at the counter then proceeds to open his mouth and say that’s not even that great of dog food anyways. And when I asked what he recommended then, he starts stuttering and couldn’t even give a solid recommendation. It was a very inappropriate comment for him to make about what my daughter feeds her dog.

Customer service bland I asked for kitten collar or cat they said that was it in one section but I walked around and on the cat section were collars. This store is very limited to it's supplies as they replenish every two weeks , shoot I can order Amazon and get it quicker . Honesty it's been my 4 the time since it's been open , pet Co is gone but wasn't any better

The staff is always super helpful and friendly. It appears in-store inventory is starting to return to higher levels too, so there's more variety of products again. This location has been my go-to for sometime.

We come in here all the time for dog supplies, but I came in to make a big purchase: an aquarium.I wanted some recommendations and advice on what products to get, but was ultimately ignored and the staff ended up helping others instead of me although I was in the store around 40+ minutes.I still got what I needed, and eventually just resorted to googling everything while I was there. I just wished someone would have at least asked if I needed help because I walk into stores expecting advice and tips from the people who work there.
