Super great store! Love, love, love the old fashion train building! The garden area was beautiful. The store seemed very well organized and staff took great care of us. We were even greeted by a manager, Haley, who went out of her way to show us around to find what we were looking for. She seemed super friendly towards us and her staff too, always had a big smile. Love all the cute handmade, beachy yard art. Will definitely be back for that.

From the time you enter this store, you feel like you are in a mom & pop establishment. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Their prices are comparable to Home Depot's, which is important to me as I prefer to shop at locally owned stores.BTW - Miner's nuts, bolts, washers, etc., inventory is more expansive than H.D.'s.

This store is a very inviting place. It is quaint, cute, and the staff are very authentically friendly and courteous. Wait there's more, they have the best garden center in San Luis Obispo.

Family owned? Very engaging & helpful. Refreshing really. I needed an obscure charger (new android). They searched and searched, found it but it didn't work. Return just as pleasant. Will be my "go-to" for a lot of things. More than just hardware.

I’ve been getting more into home projects, and sometime I run into issue the internet just can’t help me with, I’ve been going to Minors more frequently not only for the quality products but the service and knowledgeable staff have saved me more times then i can explain. Recently installed irrigation and sod had 0 knowledge of how to put in irrigation systems but the guys in plumbing same me for a lot of time and frustrations. Thanks guys

My first time visiting this location. The service was excellent! I interacted with 3 associates. All were welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and left me certain that I will be returning to this location on a regular basis... Most important is the initial purpose of my visit. I was looking for some fairly common and basic CPVC plumbing fittings. I initially paid a visit to the "orange depot" building super store. Now I am aware that various PEX A & Shark Bite Pex plastic plumbing systems are taking center stage these days and rightfully so. Never the Less CPVC is still used in various residential "new construction" applications though not nearly as popular. Where you will find perhaps the most common residential plumbing application of CPVC is going to be in mobile homes, park model style trailer homes, RV Campers and in residential housing built between the late 1980's to approximately 2014 and right up to the present. Which when taking into consideration the region where we live and the large number of mobile homes, RV & Park Models. There is Plenty of CPVC within reach. That means that there is a high likelihood that if you are going to upgrade or add on or possibly repair plumbing such as sinks, showers, etc. You will encounter CPVC. Now CPVC has its drawbacks and it certainly is not my favorite. Yet there are plenty of situations where the existing CPVC is going to be involved in your project. In many *not all of those situations. The continuation of CPVC makes the best sense. So I was surprised upon my visit to "The Orange Depot" to find the associate working the plumbing dept eager to help but clueless to CPVC. I found myself giving a crash course then after a thorough search while the associate was on his gadget trying to locate the product in the store. I concluded they don't carry that product and informed him of this. Give him an A for effort. He summoned his manager while I was by that time pricing other products for another project and just about to leave the facility. In a bold display of ignorance. The manager informed me that CPVC is no longer produced in the U. S. I felt embarrassment for him. I thought how shameful... This franchise would not think twice to put an associate in a terrible position of doing anything for a sale. Even if that meant making fools of themselves & their brand. It was now after 5pm. A google maps search led me to this Miners Ace hardware. The associate immediately filled me with additional CPVC knowledge as he escorted me directly to the source of my search stayed long enough to offer me a couple suggestions and politely went on his way. HOW AWESOME WAS THAT! I FOUND REAL PROS AT MINERS. I didn't spend much on my 1st visit. But as a new lifetime patron. My initial experience is the reason that I will spend thousands before it is all said and done!!!I'm giving Miners in SLO an A+ in every category!!!!THANKS FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM FOLKS~👍👍👍👍👍 🙏 🤝~

I went in for advice on my Impatiens. They said it looked like aphid eggs. I bought the Neem Oil as they advised. I don't know why I feel surprised by the customer service there each time I go. The staff go above and beyond. If they don't have the answer they will certainly find out. Many thanks to the Garden Dept. 🤗

Most Ace Hardware’s are good, but Miner’s Ace Hardware is second to no other. I spoke to and received great assistance from several of the associates while I was finding my way around the store. A special shout out to Matt in plumbing who saved me from myself and Zack at the register who took the time to sign my daughter up for the rewards program. Thank you, gentlemen!!!

Got some awesome plants for our new back yard. I like waiting for the sales before I buy too much. They always have great sale promotions. They’re often enough that you can always stock up! They also know a lot about the plants and can give you lots of tips. I wanted a couple pink bower vines and they got on and ordered them right away. You don’t pay until they come in. Great customer service.

Come here for all kinds of stuff, it is a hardware store after all. But their plants/pots section is very nice and better than some other places in town. Very helpful and kind staff. I like the more open-air feel of the whole store / separation. Come here over other chains/similar stores in town.

This is my favorite hardware store in the area although it is really set up for non-professional customers. For multiple quick trips each week, it can be frustrating to get through the narrow aisles stacked with stuff and lingering employees in personal conversations. But they still have better selection and stock than the box store. And it is still usually quicker even with the frustrations.

Entrance and layout were rearranged but pleasant employees. Some things are very short on selection such as the hand dolly wheels I was seeking. They have great selection of fasteners and hardware so they are the place I always go. Prices are okay even compared to box stores

This is a very nice hardware store as well as Garden Supply Center. The people are older and knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a wide selection decent prices and if you buy bulk Goods you can pay for them and they will load them right in your car. This is a great place to come for your Hardware needs especially if you need help deciding on something.
