I didn't know you needed a Costco card to buy food from the outside eatery, when I had ordered my pizzas. But I had planned on getting my card anyways, so it worked out. The lady who did my card was very nice, and she got me out as soon as she could. They have great customer service. Now, I can't wait to just go back in and do some convenient, normal shopping, and save a whole lot of money!

Worst Costco experience. Our family has been shopping at Costco for years, but tonight was awful. At the door, the greeters were harsh and unhelpful, shouting at me because I didn’t understand their return procedure (specific doors, yellow tickets stuck to return at the door, pretty different from Costco Santa Maria where I usually shop). The lady at the membership counter lectured me on how “all Costcos employ this procedure.” Thanks, cool, all good, I wasn’t asking? Rude, cold, abrasive. All our encounters with other employees proved pretty weird. Groups of employees gathered around chatting, unhelpful when approached. Finally we had a membership issue and the cashier was incredibly rude and hostile. They were understaffed and it took them 40 minutes to help us. When we finally made it out the door we were held up with aggressive queries on why we had two receipts (2 transactions, all items accounted for on the receipts). Absolute misery. If you can shop anywhere else, save yourself the headache.

Came for gasoline. Line is easily designed. Flow is good, but people seems slow. Didn't look like long lines, but the wait felt long. The checkout line was the shortest i have ever seen. May be because its a Tuesday. Food court was great and fast.

This is a customer experience rating. Since moving to the area from San Diego, we've come to this Costco twice, first was in January 2024, and the second, on March 02, 2024. On our 2nd trip, we brought along our small dog without knowing that dogs are not allowed inside, until we were told by an older lady at the entrance. However, even after acknowledging her and the crowd in front of us finally cleared, she made sure to point the sign to us that dogs are not allowed. After dropping our dog off in the car and made our entry, the same lady was still talking about us and our dog with the other lady at the exit. At checkout, and just like our first time, we tried to put some of our things from the cart onto the belt but stopped after a register helper vigorously started to. To our surprise, we got a similar comment from both helpers on both trips. The first time, we were told "Are you going to help", and the second time was, "Thanks for the help" both accompanied by frustrated looks and tone directly at my wife and I. If it weren't for the nice guys at the meat section, this customer experience rating would've been a 1-star.

Do most workers here have an attitude or something? Heading out, my receipt was checked by Mark. I said 'thank you' to him twice. I know he heard me the first time because the second time I said 'thank you', he very rudely said, "yeah, have a good one." He couldn't even make eye contact. Customer service is huge in any field. Such a shame to have poor customer service in such a great city.

Very subpar customer service. I had the displeasure of being serviced by a woman named Pearl. She was rude and disrespectful and made the entire experience poor. When i asked for a box for my items she made a face and asked if I had an issue. I then asked a second time and she made eye contact with me and made another face as if she couldn't be bothered to even respond. Customer service is important and it's too bad that isn't a priority when hiring representatives.

Just visited for the first time in a while, since it is a drive. I came to the eye center and received *exceptional* customer service from a representative named Malea. I was on a time schedule and she helped me quickly and efficiently pick out the pairs of glasses that I needed to have a good fit, and a good look. I wish there was one up in North County.

Costco's policy of only accepting the primary account holders form of payment negatively impacts college students. Furthermore, the way in which their customer service representatives are trained to handle such situations lacks basic human decency. Today at approximately 11:27 Pearl checked me out and her overly aggressive tone, body language, and words shocked me. When i questioned when this policy was put in place and the purpose she had no answer and couldn't tell me why it hadn't been enforced in past visits. Very confusing and humiliating conversation.

I am my own costco membership owner and I am constantly harassed by employees at self check out for my costco card picture. I hate coming here for the customer services. The prices are great but I feel humiliated and harassed when I am singled out for showing my costco card. This last time, I wasn't aware this was one of the times they decided they needed to check cards at SCO and no one stopped me until I was at the regist at SCO and two employees came up to me, yelling that they needed to see my costco picture. So I showed them my costco card and my ID. I understand that they want to Crack down (but it also is very frustrating that nuclear family's can't use one membership, but that's another bone I have to pick). However the employees should not be rude about this. Very frustrating and upsetting experiences. Take away the self check out instead of blaming your customers.

I walked past one of the sample stations with my son and the rude sample lady (name was short and approximately 3 or 4 letters) told my son in a tone that he couldn't have any. I had declined permission for my son to take it, but she still hesitated with a perturbed face and we walked away. I understand that consent must be given before taking the sample, but the worker needs to work on her attitude.Sample was an energy drink in a cupDate: 1/28/24

Stacey, rude and unacceptable behavior. Too much of a try hard when it comes to 2 guests and 1 card. Mostly shame on Costco they need to actually chill. Way to make a broke college kid feel vulnerable by enforcing a bad policy - what do y'all know about morals, nothing.

Visiting Costco the week before a major holiday can be a crapshoot. But this is a larger store and handles crowds pretty well. It's set up like 95% of all US Costcos. And the clothing section doesn't look the aftermath of an explosion - the employees keep the piles of shirts and pants and sweaters near.The butchers are very helpful IF you can get their attention but forget about asking for any special requests.

Large clean warehouse with a large selection of wines, beers, and liquors. The selection of meats and frozen items is large too. Friendly staff with plenty of parking. Food court food is delicious.

I was at Costco San Luis Obispo this evening shopping with my husband. When he was in line, I stopped over at the optical counter to ask about some eye glasses I had purchased from Costco. The glasses had become really loose and kept falling off my face. A very nice man named CJ offered to tighten up my glasses. He did an excellent job and now my glasses feel like brand new again. Thank you CJ for totally making my day. You have excellent customer service skills! I appreciate the time you took to make my glasses fit so well again.

I can get everything I need here , with a few exceptions . A few items are unique to Costco , and no other business carries them . I like that .

Have purchased kirkland toilet tissue for years, always happy with my purchase. Last month I noticed the tissue was single ply, not soft and had no perforations for easy tearing. Needless to say I'm not happy. Really disappointed...

When visiting your college kid, a COSTCO trip is always appreciated! Got him all stocked up on food and drinks, and even an air fryer this time. He should be good for atleast a week🤣🤣🤣

We are traveling and The amount of fresh quality produce is the best we have seen at a Costco. Store and restrooms very clean. Food court isoutside, food was great. Everyone provided Great customer service. The pharmacy filled our dogs prescriptions at a very responsible price.

Absolutely love this place. It has the best produce around, probably because they are constantly replacing and bringing in new kinds. The blueberries here are the sweetest and juiciest I have ever had.They also carry Inked Keto bread that is so good. Very reminiscent of wheat bread my grandfather ate when I was a kid.The pulled pork is good, it has a nice smoke flavor to it. It is just pulled pork, and doesn't have sauce on it. The pulled pork is perfect by itself and doesn't need any sauce.

Great place to purchase items for a medium sized family. Fairly cheap prices makes me keep coming back. Other than that it does have very long checkout lines and no self checkout. Which means no quick shopping runs, it's all or nothing.
