We spent the afternoon here and had a blast of a time! You get to feed lettuce to the animals for 3 dollars. They have a grocery store selling fresh produce - strawberries and what not. We also got their pulled pork burger and apple pie which were both great. Definitely recommended to spend the morning or an afternoon here

My family absolutely loves this place. It’s small, and perfect for a morning or afternoon spent at the barn. You can buy heads of lettuce to feed all of the animals for $3/piece. They have cows, llamas, goats, emu, chickens, donkeys. That are all well loved and taken care of ♥️ Pony rides during December for the holidays, special visits from Santa. The market is so cute and filled with a variety of items to purchase. We’ve bought their pies in the past and they were delicious! Lunch at their sweet and savory restaurant is delicious. This place is just so well rounded and fun for the kids and parents. We will certainly be back for a third time!

This place has fun for the whole family! Buy a huge head of lettuce for 3 bucks and let the kids feed the animals. They have tons of goats and chickens, and even cows, alpacas, donkeys, and an ostrich! Don’t skip the corn on the cob. The barn shop has a wide variety of produce, drinks, jarred goods, and household items for purchase. They have hot food you can buy too. Tons of parking available. Can’t say enough good things about the Avila Barn!

Stopped here on the drive from SF to LA. This is a great little place and makes a good rest stop to break the journey. I don't have kids, clearly, but I highly recommend this place if you do. It has a lovely farm shop selling a huge range of wholesome products, from apple pies to trail mix and toffee apples. You can also buy fresh produce such as fruit and veg.For children, there is a petting zoo, straw maze and point rides. It is just so cute.We ate at the Smokebouse here- the fried chicken sandwich was unbelievably good.If you're doing a long drive, it's well worth breaking up the journey here, or if you have kids, making it a part of your trip.

Great place to take the kids. Feed the animals and get some fresh from the farm food. The food shack has an amazing chicken sandwich and we got Mac and cheese for the kids. Pony rides were $10 and girls really went out of their way to make our little one have fun and ensure we got a great photo.

Our family loves this places and stops by every year while in the area. Gotta grab a fresh BBQ corn on the cob and although a bit pricey, the pies are delicious. Tracker and pony rides are fun for the kids.Update: stopping by for your yearly trip and it's as great as ever. Make sure to get corn before the sell out, we got one of the last few for the day. Looks like they've made some upgrades and have more food and some alcoholic beverages available too. Kids still had a blast feeding all the animals. Can't wait until we come back!Updated again! Came by during December for the first time and got to see all the Christmas decorations and trees for sale. It was a fun time as always, the kids feeding the goats and buying fresh strawberries and sweets. The only disappointing part was that freshly roasted corn season is over until April.

A small and fun place to hang out during fall holidays. Kids can do a pony ride, feed farm animals ($3 per cabbage), shop fruits, snacks, and holiday decos. It also provides several holiday setups for family photos for free.

Small hidden family attraction just off the 101 freeway. This place is a cool barn with a bakery, farmers market, gift shop, live farm animals for feeding, ice cream shop, picnic area, and tractor rides. They are famous for their Olallieberry Pies which you can never get anywhere else. Stop by with the family when you're passing by Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo.

I had such a fun time walking through the store looking at all the interesting food and goods available. The produce is super fresh and delicious, the treats are unique and spectacular, the pies and cobblers are super delicious, and there were a lot of fun items I was able to get as gifts for folks back home. Also, the chickens were very cute. It's a bit pricey but all in all, it was worth it.

Has a very cute boutique, fresh veggies, and fruits for sale in addition to the pumpkis in October. They have hay rides to the u pick area, and you can feed the animals for a reasonable price. It's fun to do with the whole family.

I loved this place! I’m so glad my bf showed it to me. It’s so wholesome and well-maintained. The animals are fun. The food I purchased (corn and apple pie) was delicious. Entrance is free plus the prices are super reasonable.

Our friends told us to check this farm out. Expect a lot of kids, they have animals where you can buy a head of lettuce for $3 to feed the different animals. Theres a little farm store with different jams, pickles, and fresh produce and baked goods. They also had a window to buy foods.. artichoke, hot dogs, tritip/chicken/pulled pork sandwhich, chili, etc. And another barn where they sold saltwater taffy and ice cream. This was a very unique experience. We got to interact with the owner of a small hotsauce brand "monkey spit" to sample all his hot sauces. The whole visit was very unique and I highly recommend checking it out :)

What a great find! We happened upon Avila Valley Barn as we were headed to Avila Beach. Great place for kids and families. Lots of animals you can feed with the romaine lettuce they sell there. The variety of chickens and roosters was especially fascinating. The whole place is clean and well maintained, and all the animals look healthy and well cared for. We didn't eat there but the farm fresh produce looked amazing and we did find some fun gifts.

Such a fun cute family friendly place toGo to. If you like local produce, feeding barn animals, hay mazes, and such this is for you. It’s interactive and spacious. Surprisingly clean. Kids love the animals but if your little one is scared of them I suggest not allowing them to be too close to them. People here were friendly and wore masks inside as required indoor. You can feed the animals with lettuce which is 3$. We were able to find parking as they have their own lot and there are restrooms available.
