Dr. Halbach and his team are truly the best. My family has been bringing our pets to see him for the past 30 years.I had brought my three year old Pom to an ER clinic at 4AM. The emergency visit which included bloodwork, xrays, fluids, meds was $1500.. the estimate for a pit removal from her intestine was $9000. They were putting a lot of pressure on me to make an immediate decision, but I am so glad I waited a few hours for Dr. Halbachs office to open for a second opinion.Without an appointment, his staff was very understanding and they were able to see us and take care of my girl. Unlike newer vets who like to dive right into invasive treatment, Dr. H said there was a good chance the pit could pass naturally. After a day of monitoring and no improvement we scheduled for surgery the next day.Despite being in the books for surgery today, the team tried one more time to aid the pit out naturally and it did! I am so thankful for Dr. Halbach’s knowledge and patience. Our pup did not need the surgery! Even if she did, the price I was quoted was a fraction of the cost I was quoted at the first clinic.Our pom is back to her normal self and we are so thankful! I put all my trust in this team’s hands when it comes to my 2 dogs.

I've had many family dogs in my life since I was a little girl, but my Jessie was the most special dog. I could call her 'my daughter.' She was my first. I took her everywhere with me. One day, she coughed up some blood. I thought maybe something was stuck in her throat. I took her to this San Lorenzo vet, and they told me to come to the x-ray room. Dr. Halbach explained that she had a tumor. I was so shocked and devastated that I dropped to the ground and started to cry. Since then, Dr. Halbach and his staff tried their best to get me in for an oncology appointment. Dr. Halbach was so personal and gave me many amazing pieces of advice. He tried to console me in the best possible ways to prepare for goodbye. I've been to many doctors, including human doctors, but never met anyone like him. I felt so grateful, and I'm still grateful. Thank you again.

Best care ever! You won't find a vet and crew more caring, honest, and consider money wise . We really got lucky to find this place 10 years ago all my dogs (4) go here. The place is clean, simple and they always have great attitude. Dr HALBACH has so much knowledge and passion for his patients, he is magnificent. He has great interaction with my dogs, he is caring and so patience. In the past dr. Halbach save my dogs lives in different situations. You won't regret going here.

Tried to get my dog in for the week for limping and guy on the phone was extremely rude and said they were indefinitely not taking any dogs. I guess this applies to new and old clients. Have been taking my dogs there for years guess we have to find a new vet. This was my go to vet for years due to the patience and understanding from the doctor. Extremely sad to have to find a different vet. I understand being short staffed but having a little patience with people and providing better customer service like offering an appointment in a few weeks or alternative recommendations to other vets instead of flat out saying we're not taking your dog. Definitely could have been handled better.

Excellent service and care in this Covid-19 environment. My dog was a new emergency visit and they kindly took her as a patient. We stayed in the car with our mask on as the staff also with mask came out to take a brief history of Sugar's needs and then they took Sugar into the office. The Veterinarian came out to the car mask on to discuss treatment plan for Sugar and then Sugar was returned to me. The practice is very reasonable in their pricing and I hope to become a new patient for Sugar and Rosebud.

Found a caring one vet personal care facility that treats your pet as family. No pushing of products or services like some others. Reasonably priced. Always available for pet advice from knowledgeable vet techs who consult with Dr. Halbach. I feel my pets are given individual care and treated as patients in their care, not animals in a wholesale franchise like ....others. I have two pedigreed Maine Coons who need and deserve this type of specialized care.

Highly knowledgeable and great with my cane corso. Other vets have acted scared around her... demanded muzzling, etc. More importantly... looks like my dogs ear infection is finally on the mend thanks to the custom concoction dr. H created. Price was fair also.

I can not recommend this veterinary clinic highly enough. The staff is efficient, sympathetic and very caring. The veterinarian Dr. Halbach is extremely knowledgable and experienced. He is deeply concerned for the animals and tries to find the best solution for your pet plus the most successful treatment. He does not push costly and unnecessary procedures and the services are very affordable. If you want to have your pet lovingly and expertly taken care of this is the place to go and stay.

Have to change review. Unfortunately this is a vet that has not updated practice for decades. Place is not modern or very clean. One vet, no emergency care or overnight available. Advice tech not very knowledgeable. My cat nearly had renal failure .went undiagnosed. No urine test. Went elsewhere. Good Samaritan in San Leandro is 5 star vet. My go to.

I went in because my dog has a deep gash on her paw. They guy at the front told me that they are by appointment only, however, there was a sign right above his head indicating they have walk in appointments. The staff did not even ask what was wrong with my dog.They told me I would have to schedule an appointment to be seen. I left and went somewhere else. Horrible service and rude!
