Right on the Main Street in San Juan Bautista very touristy. They have a cute outdoor seating area that might be pet friendly I'm not sure. The table had crumbs on it when we were seated, so I had to clean it myself. The menu was not wiped down, had food and old salsa on it. Food was okay. Salsa was good more like a taco sauce. Price was fair. I'm staying in the area and not dying to go back.

Jardines is a great place to come have a meal. The food is great and service is always awesome. When the weather is nice they have an outside patio area to dine. The weekends can get busy as it is a tourist destination. San Juan Batista is a great little town to walk around and spend part of your day. Tour the mission of you get the chance.

I like the place and the outdoor dining. Skirt steak was amazing! The soup was terrible. It was chunks of fat and and some beans with tomato sauce. Maybe some like this soup but I cannot consider that soup. My suggestion boil a real beef broth and some veggies and real beaf chunks. Service was alright. Food was brought out quickly but then the waitresses disappeared and hard to find. Otherwise nice place. I would recommend to a friend and I would go here again.

- Not going back ever again - Food is over priced for average Mexican food. Service is always sub par. The best part of this place is the salsa which is still blah. We sat down with chips and salsa and waited 45 min for the drinks we ordered. Water should take 45 min. After I had to get my own drinks from the service station. Out came the food after about another 30 or so of sitting with no more chips. The food came out backwards the dinner entrees came out before the salad that was ordered. It was a total of 120 min to get a salad. Then came the bill issue. I again had to go ask to pay so I can leave. The waiter never came back to wait on the table after the first time. The out side dinning area is the best part but this place is not worth it. Go to Taco Bell and take it to the mission of San Juan. You will be better taken care of.

I love this Mexican restaurant. The food is top-notch and homemade. Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are always fast and helpful. It’s heavenly to eat outside and enjoy the views. I also like seeing all the pretty birds who frequent here as well. Their great food is fantastic! Come here hungry because there’s so many fabulous options to enjoy.

It was a cool but sunny February day on a Friday at lunch. The inside of the restaurant was dark and very cool because the doors were open, so we sat outside with the sun on our backs. Very pleasant. They have a very capacious outside patio with umbrellas. In the summer it's wonderful! Our wait person came by infrequently, but it looked like they were short handed. The portions were generous and tasty. I've eaten here several times and will return. They could use a lighter, brighter, and in the cool season a warmer, interior!Parking: We parked on the street across from the back garden entrance.

1 hour 30 minutes wait to be seated and forgotten about after placing an order... finally trying to get someone to help us since our waitress never stopped by again, left us with us with one napkin, two place mats / utensils (3 of us), and a wrong order, we just gave up on the whole experience we so hard try to enjoy... we tried justifying their actions since they were busy, but even after getting up and getting a random waitress to bring us a check (the wrong check at that) and no one returning to collect, I stood up once again after seeing the manager and explained my frustration.... Thinking he was going to listen and try and save the restaurants reputation, he says "This check ain't yours, it's the wrong table" like really.... We finally get the correct check and I all we get from the manager was "Sorry for the wrong check, would you like dessert?" Worst experience ever, many, many other places to be at with way better customer service and experience....

This restaurant has ample indoor seating and even more ample seating on their outdoor patio that has tons of beautiful succulents planted all over it. Most of the tables have umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it's cold. The service is good, but can suffer a little when busy. The food is good as well, I personally like their enchiladas the most, they have a great red sauce. They have a full bar, so can do pretty much any drink. This place gets very busy on the weekends.

Jardine is a fantastic Mexican restaurant! We ate inside because it was a rainy cold day. They have a beautiful large outside patio for summer days with colorful full size umbrellas at the tables to keep cool. They have very lush plants & cactus around the patio. The food is fresh and outstanding! They have specials on their menu of food offerings and drinks. The servers are professional and very good at what they do. I only marked a few items below that are my favorite. All of their food is outstanding.Parking: There is parking available for free on the street. Sometimes it is more busy than other times.

Came in for a Family Dinner Night on a Sunday evening and were seated right away on the cutest patio ever. This restaurant is located in a small downtown area that looks really old fashioned/western vibes and it’s seriously the best.We were brought chips and salsa and water right away and the server was nice. Our two margaritas from the bar were super strong. You definitely get what you pay for. The kids meal was of good size and came out very quickly. I ordered chili relleno and it came with rice and beans. Super flavorful and good. My wife ordered the chef tacos and it came with rice and beans also. Best favors ever she says.The patio is pet friendly and offers a lot of shade and outdoor seating. Will definitely be here again. Side note: Tuesday is all you can eat tacos as the daily special!!

Hands down the best restaurant in SJB. Probably the best patio in the entirety of the Bay Area. The value is out of this world. The food is ultra fresh, prepared perfectly, and rich with flavor. The patio is a block away from the mission and the area is fun to walk about. $5 legit margaritas on a hot Friday afternoon… what’s not to love. Been coming here for years with my family and happy to point more people in this establishment’s direction.

We came to San Juan Bautista to visit the Mission, then wandered to the little downtown area looking for a place for lunch. I am not a fan of this kind of food, but my daughter is, and I hoped I would find something for me to eat, and, I did. This place is darling, surrounded by a beautiful garden out back, made us decide to eat outside, even though it was a bit chilly. They did have heat lamps for us though. My daughter got the trio of taco's and I got the shrimp salad. Both were very good, but the star of the meal, I have to admit, were the freshly made tortilla chips. The downside? We were not warned how HOT the salsa was, and it was super hot. We asked for some guaq instead. If you love Mexican food, this is your place, and if you do not, you can still find some options to enjoy what this restaurant has to offer.

I actually really enjoyed myself here. The menudo was excellent and the taco salad with the carnitas was amazing. The service seemed like they were a slight bit short staffed, but our server was great. It's easy to stick to Paleo diet here as well, I was on vacation so I was a bit relaxed with my decisions on food but, this is a good stop in the future for me to stick to my regular diet!Dietary restrictions: Paleo friendly with proteins and veggies available.

We were here 2 yrs ago n been wanting to return.We had our chance ... Finishing up our 5 wonderful nights Camping in Santa Cruz n my hubby wanted to take me out for a nice late lunch before heading home.Colorful settings with umbrella n beautiful plants . Great serviceMy Hubby Ordered Cheese Enchilada n Shredded beef Taco n Rice n beans. Sadly the taco didn't hold up ... Just fell apart ... But tasty.I loved my Chile Verde n beans n rice was great .. it was generous n couldn't eat n I know My Honey will eat the leftovers.They tried to put people on tables with distanceToo bad they close down the Gardenthis timeEnjoyed our Meal.It's a nice area to stroll down n look at little shops here at San Juan Bautista.

Came in on a Friday and we were seated quickly. Very calming ambiance. I felt like I was on a vacation.The food was good, but definitely salty. Salty beans, salty rice, salt meat. You get the picture. It's the first thing that hits your senses.Skirt steak was overcooked and even crunchy around the edges. The beans have cheese melted on top and mixed into the beans. Very cheesy for cheese lovers. My friend had chile colorado and said it was salty. Other friend had an enchilada and he liked it. The tortillas came about 10 minutes after the food. We kept trying to flag a server to ask for them. We we told they were on the way. Honestly, they should come out with the food. If you wait for them, the food is cold. We started without them. The best thing about this restaurant is quick seating and ambiance. I use plenty of salt when I cook, so for me to comment the food is salty, it most definitely is.Parking: Street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Outdoor seating has no steps or steep inclines.

This is such a warm, welcoming 🙏🏼 place each time we sit at their table.My boyfriend and I were on our way home from the San Jose Airport, and we stopped in for dinner 🍽. We like sitting at the bar 🍸 and Lupe was very nice and mixes/mixed a very nice margarita. Always consistent, flavor 😋 is so good, and we've tried several different flavors.My boyfriend ordered the Wings, I had a combo, crispy taco, and cheese enchilada w/rice and beans.Wings were deliciously moist and crispy. My combo was as well. The shredded beef crispy taco was crispy, not a soggy mess when I picked it up. The rice, nice and fluffy,beans were very tasty. Their cheese enchiladas are always good. I opted to take it home because I was getting full. We had started with chips and salsa w/an order of guacamole while we sipped our margaritas. Several options for dessert, the chocolate mousse that we shared, was nice and light. Just the perfect ending.It was the perfect "Welcome home."

Had a wonderful time enjoying a delightful lunch with some very close friends.(More like family)Started with chips and salsa. The salsa had an amazing flavor with just the perfect amount of heat!We thoroughly enjoyed the pitcher of watermelon margaritas. We stopped here for lunch on our way to an appointment in Watsonville. When we got there, we were warned that service might be slow, because they were short staffed. (This place does not take reservations.) Fortunately there was only one party ahead of us, so we were seated almost immediately. Worried that slow service might make us late for a medical appointment, we announced that we were ready to order when the chips arrived (which was almost immediately.) The waitress came right over to take our order. I ordered veggie fajitas. (Shrimp fajitas was one of the specials of the day.) The waitress wasn’t sure what to do, since veggie fajitas weren’t on the menu. She explained that the only vegetables I would get would be grilled onions & bell peppers. When I assured her that was perfect, she happily took my order. I also requested refried beans rather than whole beans. My husband ordered a carnitas burrito with no cheese. Our orders arrived promptly, so we could enjoy them in a leisurely fashion. The food hit the spot. The refried beans were particularly delicious. When all was said and done, we arrived at our appointment In Watsonville with 15 minutes to spare.

We loved the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant, however inside looked interesting and cozy as well. The service was warm, friendly and "on time." They put fresh chips and salsa on the table. We had excellent margaritas, albonigas soup and fish tacos. The mahi mahi was grilled, very good, fresh. I would recommend this restaurant and I would return!

Ambiance is on point. It’s has a beautiful garden feel. The Mexican food is so delicious and the portions are big so you get a good value for your buck! It’s in San Juan Bautista and the old historic charm feel is awesome. It’s also a walls down from the Mission.

Nice pleasant environment. It's San Juan so a big Caucasian crowd. I felt the service was not as good to us. I was with the elderly female I care for and she also said "wow, why aren't we being attended " because everyone else was. I said "it's because I'm native" to which she replied " I could have told you that" 😞Food was good but we all need to be served in the same manner, nicely and timely.
