Great spot for an overnight stay right off of 101. Clean and safe. Asphalt lots with plenty of space and picnic table.Nearby activities: Visited San Juan Bautista mission.

What A great place to stay. I am so sorry that we only got to stay 1 night. The rv spots are very spacious and clean. The bathroom, laundry and grounds were kept immaculate. The lady at the front desk that checked us in was so sweet and kind to us. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Stayed for 3 nights. Park is very clean and organized. Sites are pretty spacious but not huge nor small. We have a 30 foot 5th wheel. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Lots of grass areas for dogs plus a dedicated fenced-in dog area that we didn't use because it was on the other side of the park from us. The only downside if there is a downside is that there are a lot of campers here. However, the park was quiet and very little noise in the evening. The park is located centrally to many areas to explore including Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, the town of Gilroy and a factory outlet mall just outside of Gilroy. Gilroy has an area within the town called the "Taco Trail" due to the numerous Taquerias located here. Definitely try these if you are in town. We had some of the best breakfast burritos in town. This area is dubbed the "Salad Capital of the World" because of the acres and acres of vegetables being grown here. Just outside of Gilroy is considered the Garlic Capital of the world and before you get to Monterey it's considered the "Artichoke" Capital of the world. Would definitely stay here again.Food & drinks: Try Gilroy for mexican food. Lots of good restaurants

We have stayed at Betabel multiple times over the past two years. It’s a nice park, well-maintained, and friendly staff. When we checked in a few weeks ago, they still had all our information, including our Good Sam discount, on file, and we confirmed it on the telephone during the reservation. We checked in this past week, after making the same reservation procedure, but later noticed the bill did not include the Good Sam discount.Their only response was, “Sorry, you’re responsible to notify us at the time of “check-in” that you have any discounts. It is posted several places.”I could see if we discovered it after we had checked out and closed out the account. However, we’re mid-stay this week, and brought it to their attention. Despite that, Pam declined to honor the discount, even though we discussed it on the phone during the reservation process.FYI to Travelers, make sure you present your Good Sam credentials every time when checking in. We did not “present” our discount on the prior occasions, but beware.

6/18/2023We were driving on the highway from LA back home to Bay Area about 11am.Unfortunately, we discovered that we were very low on gas. When we had barely enough gas to arrive at this resort, we were relieved to arrive at a busy RV resort. There were three adults in the resort office. Two women workers were unwilling to offer any help. They told us to take our chances and try to drive our car to the nearest gas station. When asked if we could buy a gas can or container, and pay somebody willing to drive us to get some gas at the gas station 4 miles away, they said they didn’t have a gas can or container and also were unwilling to give us a ride to the nearest gas station. The man also told us we were not allowed to ask anyone at the resort to see if we could buy a gas container, gas, or a ride to the nearest gas station. We then called the gas station and found out we could buy a gas can there for 22.49 - but the male staff said he couldn’t provide a ride for us, nor allow us to find someone at the resort who might be willing to drive us to get some gas- nor were there any Uber or taxi services in the area.Welcome to the unfriendly indifference of Betabel RV Resort and its surrounding area! This lack of kindness and genuine helpfulness to assist people in need - is very sad. As a physician and a human being, I am thankful I am not like these people are.I write this review to let you know that I highly recommend you please do not support or frequent a business staff who can act in my husband’s words “so heartless”. Please choose an rv resort where there is a professional staff that can offer 15 minutes out of their day to aid some stranded motorists in their 60’s - on a hot day. There was not one other person besides us in that office. There were three adult staff. It would have taken about 15 minutes to help us. They missed an opportunity to be a basic decent human being - and help a fellow human being. If I ever own a RV in my future, I will never use this resort. I do have family members and friends who do own and use RV’s and I will highly recommend they do not use this resort - unless I get an apology from the owners of this rv resort park as soon as possible. Thank you.

Nice location tucked away in hills & trees. Clean, well kept. Firm rules, but that's what keeps this place nice. I would recommend to anyone coming in the area to work or leisure. 10 min outside of Gilroy & Mission San Juan Baptista, safe and no transients. Nice place to vacation with friends and family. Gated and monitored. Store in the front office with a lot of supplies and food items. Prices are reasonable. Laundry services are affordable. Friendly staff. They have storage for your RV, so when you have to leave, your RV is safe. During holidays like 4th of July & Labor Day they have a live band and food for their guests. We stayed at another RV location in Gilroy, and Betabel is so much cleaner, and did I mention SAFE.Noteworthy details: Great location. Always breezy. Very cool a night. Literally 20 degrees lower in temp then Gilroy or Morgan Hill. Great relaxing vacation spot.

The staff was very accommodating as we kept adding another night. We loved the peace and quiet. Secluded with trees that was a buffer from the freeway. One night we heard a train in the distance. I would without a doubt come here again. The ease of access of coming and going from the freeway was an added bonus.

Did not take pics but we will keep this one on our list of great campgrounds. Sites are wide. Roads are wide. Very clean. There is a little fence between your hookups and your neighbors so you don’t have to watch each other dump. Very classy. Picnic tables. Good parking. No tree issues where we were parked. Big rig friendly and they have propane… for motor homes too! Cable tv was very good and WiFi was adequate. Front office very friendly. Great stay for us to go visit Pinnacles National Park. Reasonable priced as well.

Really great friendly helpful staff. Nice layout with some shade, nice amenities, level concrete pads, motion-sensor lights at the hookups help you see when connecting utilities after dark. Located far enough away from the highway to be pretty quiet at night. They have multiple garbage/recycling stations so you don't have to walk too far.

Good location and park looks inviting when you enter. Gated. Plenty of space, hookups are very good. Only negative was clubhouse facility for our group activities. Building delapitated AC not working, windows hard to open and close. Didn't use public restroom or laundry, TV channels plentiful and has WiFi. Stayed 5 nights in September 2022.

Stayed here since June of 2020, we did short and long term. Space rent is reasonable. Power is reasonable, staff is friendly. Laundry and bathroom facility are always clean and cheap. Was perfect for us to stay and call temporary home. We moved out of state few days ago since we bought property. Vicki and Rochelle know how to treat you like family.

I will definitely stay here again. It is very secure, the spaces are paved, the pool and laundry are good, the park and lawn areas are well maintained. You don't hear the road noise and for the location the price is fair. Rv park wifi typically isn't grea, I couldn't even connect to theirs at all but I have a Hotspot so it didn't matter. The park is big rig friendly. They fit our 43ft 5th wheel and truck okay.

my favorite home away from home! Such a wonderfully kept, maintained and ran park. The grounds are lovely and very well kept as are the bathrooms, laundry facilities and the entire park! The staff is wonderful and so welcoming. I recommend this park to everyone! Dog friendly and they even have a little putting green and swimming pool!

Very nice clean place people at the office are friendly and nice . Fresh air very clean place. I like this place because I work in Salinas so I get up at 4:30 am Tuesday through Friday and I go to sleep at 8:20 pm and it’s very quite . It’s nice since I leave in San Jose . I’m only there during the week so just happy to be able to stay at this nice place.showers and bathrooms are very clean

We stayed at Betabel for about 3 weeks. Very clean park, safe, and dog friendly. There’s a gated area where you can let your dog off the leash. There are laundry rooms with a good amount of washers and dryers. It’s a quiet park near plenty of grocery stores, shops and attractions. Beaches are about 20-45 mins away depending on where you go. If you are in a weekly spot you can only stay a max of 28 days then you have to leave for 48 hours before you return. If you’re in a monthly spot you won’t have to move, but there is a waiting list.

We just stayed here two weeks during the holidays while visiting family. We will definitely return. There is a section that is for permanent residents. We were in the south end of the park. Concrete pull-thru site. Full hookups that have a light. Close to the dog area. Though it is not fenced, well-controlled dogs can be off-leash. The area is grassy and huge. While I would not call this a resort, it is a very clean, well-maintained park. Staff is nice. It is hard to understand any complaints. Just abide by the rules and stay is enjoyable. There is a small store, a pool table and some exercise equipment. Since we are self-contained we did not use the laundry or showers. If they are as well cared for as the rest of the areas, they will be pleasant to use.

Got in there just before the store closed, and were able to get a spot without a reservation. Staff was nice, facility is excellent. Clean pool, plenty of amenities including a nice park. Saw that a few spots look like long term folks, and the drive through spots fit 45'+ busses. Our 27' fit nicely in a back-in spot. Train goes by somewhere near in the morning, but doesn't use its horn, so it's barely noticeable.

Best park around, clean, well kept up. Rules are enforced to keep it looking good and relatively quiet. Secure gates to keep nighttime cruisers away. 2 laundry facilities, small camp store, heated pool, putting greens and dog park, etc. Friendly service. A tad more expensive than some other parks in the area, but you get what you pay for. Still far better rates than the parks 15 miles north in Morgan Hill.

Very nice RV park. Rochelle was extra helpful when our 5th wheel developed a problem just as we were pulling out, after our first night there. Let us park for a few hours on an empty passage way till it was repaired. Was able to book an additional night when I saw that the repairs would take more than a few hours. Caught up on laundry in a very nice, clean and inexpensive laundry facility! Groundskeeper drove over to us to get some cards from the mobile mechanic who repaired our trailer to have on hand, in case other folks on the premises run into problems. Just shows you how much they care about their customers.

For the monthly stay people. We stayed at this place because the first time we drove through it, we were impressed. So we thought lets stay here for a year since my work was in Salinas.Spacious RV spaces, quiet during at night, very clean location.ONLY thing is that once your are there, they will charge you for everything!!! They nickel and dime you for Mail, Meter rental aside from the 16 cents per kilowatt they charge you, when the state of California granted them the huge solar plant on their location. So not only they get electricity for FREE, they will charge you on the monthly stay.If you are bigger than a family of 2, they will charge you $150 per person per month. Even if they are a newborn, they will charge that you as an extra person!!!If you have more than one vehicle it gets pricey!! I had 3 vehicles and was paying monthly $85 just for parking. And yes, they ride around the park in a golf cart checking (spying) all is up their standards. We had to leave after 2 months, could not afford it. Too bad BETABEL needs the money more than everyone else!!!

Some sites in this park have shade, plants and grass. Others are straight concrete. We were lucky enough to have a site with plants. The park is very well maintained, and the office staff is organized and professional. The laundry room is clean and inexpensive. Dog park is not conveniently located, but dogs are also welcome on the large grassy area in the front of the park. Sites are nice-sized and have full hookups. Lots of long term stayers at this park, but it is not junky at all. We had a very pleasant stay.

I stopped for an overnight stay September 2017. The landscaping was nice, the campground was very dog friendly for well behaved dogs. The laundry was spotless as were the showers and restroom facilities. The staff was friendly. All and all a good place to stop while traveling.

When we made our reservations to stay at Betabel RV Resort we didn’t really expect much. But the park layout and setup is great. My 5 star (or more of a 4,5 star) is based on price and park appeal. If you stay, request a concrete pad. They have asphalt sites that are a bit like parking in lot. Our site had a nice tree and a great location. When we arrived the trees were too low for our coach so my wife tracked down the guy working on the grounds and he jumped right on trimming them. That was great service! All utilities work great, except the WiFi. Electric ran at 120v each leg. Water pressure was great, no regulator needed. The cable TV was all digital with great HD picture. We just couldn’t get much from the WiFi so we used our hotspot. The park is located right down from Gilroy which has a great old town. The park is also about 55 min from Monterrey and Santa Cruz. We will definitely stay here again. It’s off Hwy 101 but down in a small valley and very quiet. There is a train nearby but we heard nothing. Seriously, nothing. The park does have several full time residents. All were friendly. Several families so you will see kids on bikes. No issues. They were very respectful.

This is a very nice permanent living facility. However this is not good for overnight camping. I called to ask questions prior to booking and was told this was not permanent living. We booked here for labor day weekend and realized it was not the type of camping that we intended. Went to the front desk to let the lady know that we wanted to book elsewhere, because it was more of a trailer park then campgrounds. The man behind the counter looked at the lady working and told her to just refund us so we could book elsewhere. She looked at us and told us we weren't getting our money back because she is loosing money on the day. We booked 2 campsites about an hour prior to showing up. I told her that Ihad asked a bunch of questions prior to booking and was told it was for overnight camping. She stated that only half are permanent the rest pay weekly so they don't consider them to be living there. This is okay for people needing week long stays while traveling but not for weekend camping trips to hang out with the family. I'm giving 1 star because of the customer service. They refunded us one night for both of the campsites. We have to take up the rest with our bank.
