I have been a customer here for two years, but I recently decided to switch to another hospital for my dog's routine check-ups and vaccinations. While the staff are friendly and patient with pets, their pricing practices and lack of transparency drove me away.1. They charge a tech appointment fee $25, expect Thursday and Friday. No where specify this information until you visit.2. For annual vaccination they need $85 physical check fee, otherwise your pet cannot take vaccination there. This is the price for 2024, I remember in 2022 its $65.3. Medical Waste Fee/Biohazard Fee $9.99 everytime you order any vaccination or test.Beyond these fixed fees, I was frequently surprised by additional costs during the visit. After the exam, they often recommended various treatments and tests, and I never received a clear explanation of the costs upfront. Every time I received the final bill, it was $30-$50 higher than I expected. I visited this hospital at least seven times, including for my dog's spay surgery, annual check-ups, vaccinations, and some emergencies, include blood test and fecal test, and I always ended up paying more than anticipated.Although I understand that veterinary care can be costly, I expect clear communication about expenses. As pet parents, we sometimes face emergencies and need to make quick decisions about which clinic to visit. In these stressful situations, it's crucial that veterinary hospitals are honest and transparent about their fees.

Called in to set up an appointment and was able to get in much sooner than my usual vet which is a huge plus. They took a deposit to schedule the doc appt with a strict cancellation policy. While I understand the need for a deposit, but if you even reschedule within 24 hours you lose the deposit which is I think is a bit strict because emergency situations may creep up. If you are 5 mins late then you lose the deposit. I found these things were a bit unusual.Now to the actual appointment - I arrived at the location per google and it was not there. Given that they are so strict about time, I am panicking at this point. I call them and they tell me they have relocated - luckily it was a few blocks down the road and I still made it on time! Phew!We arrived and the staff was friendly and took us to a room right away. The nurse came and took our dogs vitals and it was good. We waited for a while for the doctor who examined him and recommended shots and possible solutions. They were patient and answered my questions well. Happy to come back here and hope they are not so strict with deposit and rescheduling appointments.

I spoke to the receptionist and requested a bandage change for our dog. I was told that they required an entire evaluation prior to doing so.All in all, they quoted me $250 to do a bandage change.

Dr. Shani and team are incredible!! When my 12-year old cat had to have a dental extraction, the staff was kind, professional, and caring from intake to surgery. I cannot express my gratitude enough for everything. 😍 Finny is better than ever!

This place is a scam and charges you for every little thing without disclosingStaff are friendly and professional, but wait times and prices are really highWas told a procedure would take 20 minutes and I could wait if I'd like. Took over an hour to complete while I just waited and heard nothing from staff. That is time I could have used to actually be productive... Hate when businesses do this. Just be upfront with your estimates...

We booked an appointment with willow glen hospital on 4:45 pm and followed google map address. We arrived on time and found the hospital was empty. I called them and told that they move to another new place 2 mins away. We drove to the new place and arrived on 4:52 pm and told that we need to leave and reschedule. They didn’t inform me of address change ahead or renew the address record on google! Avoid this hospital as they never provide you exam record or results unless you email them to ask! This hospital is also a little bit expensive!

My cat encountered some serious health issues and I made an appointment. (I had already been a client for two years) At no point in the process did I ever feel like my concerns were taken seriously. The health issues the cat has are not resolved after two appointments. Also, there has been no follow up from the office on her condition. Be prepared for long wait times, large bills and not much concern for your pet. The worst part of the experience was when they prescribed a teensy amount of pain medication for my cat and they wanted me to fill out forms with my driver's license and other highly personal information in order to dispense it. They made me feel like I was drug seeker, not a client. For a minuscule amount of medication for a 10lb cat. At no point did I feel like I was a valued customer. If you need care for your pet, I would advise you to go elsewhere.

Hello,Worst experience with the staff and customer service. I highly suggest moving away from this place. The staff was rude!! they will make you check in via phone outside the door and close the door in your face in a rude matter and will make you feel stupid about not knowing their processes …. I’m sorry this was my first time checking inn….No engagement or being patient in explaining the process. I have a pregnant French bulldog about to be due. I went in to get her blood drawn to see what day she will be due. They Scheduled me for a test and Did not go over pricing or process or explaining how everything unfolds. When they finished the blood test another staff member comes out saying that the test was done too late and they won’t have any info until the next day and they would communicate over phone more information…. Haha wow on top of all that I was charged two hundred and something dollars with no information or lead on anything that was paid for, also no awareness of pricing. I feel like the staff there is so untrained and rude! I will never go back and I would also advice people to avoid this place.

We have been using this vet for our dog since he was a puppy. I like that they have a technician that meets you in the parking lot. I don’t have to stress about my dog while he is inside the office since he is always with someone. Competitive pricing, and friendly staff. I’ve never been sold anything I didn’t need.They also did my dogs neutering and that was a pleasant experience. They always take great care of him ☺️

You are not transparent about pricing and when I asked for my receipt and a breakdown on prices it took my multiple phone calls and many days to receive it. The reviews since my visit suggest other people feel this way often. Please do better.

WG pet hospital was recommended by neighbors when we got a puppy during the pandemic. They seemed to follow protocol during the pandemic and disallowed any visitation, but allowed patients to be dropped outside and they would return your pet to the curb. This went well beyond the time this was required.Although I appreciated they seemed to be conservative with care, I consistently got different vets when I went.Twice now, I've called with what I would consider semi-emergency issues with my dog. They were open and had a vet or vets on staff when I called this time and the last emergency time. They didn't provide an appointment. Didn't prioritize emergency care (object stuck in throat in this instance). Their answer. Yes, we have a vet on staff. We can book him at the end of the day and that being too long, we recommend he go to the emergency vet. we recommend one of two places.It's called Willow Glen Pet HOSPITAL.I myself am in healthcare. Emergency service always takes priority over routine care.This place doesn't seem to get it.I will be going elsewhere.

5 stars well earned. Im a traveling professional with a human reactive dog. We've visited plenty of vets clinics over his 10 years some better than others and this one is at the TOP. They were so patient and so understanding and not one bit phased when I mentioned "human reactive dog". In addition to their expertise in dog handling the Dr was thorough while never sounding like a salesperson. I could tell he was focused on making sure my dog was healthy as opposed to over selling any and everything he could think of. Hoping to have the opportunity to return to this clinic in the future!!

If you're new to the area and are looking for a vet: beware this place performs broad day highway robbery on their clients. They operate behind closed doors, offer to do things that are necessary and/or reasonable but then after doing said things, tell you to go to the bank and take out a second mortgage to cover the costs. Absolutely horrendous experience. 15 minutes should never be $870. Also avoid their Premier Vet Alliance scam. The company offering the cost coverage is based in Bristol UK and could care less about helping. Really disappointing the people running the practice are trying to open a bank and not a clinic to help animals. I would give it negative stars, just like I've read other people write on Google reviews.

The staff here are outstanding. I have a shy dog, and they are always so patient with him, trying to make him feel comfortable and earn his trust. He doesn’t even mind going to the vet because it’s such a calm environment.They check every box for me:- Never too busy — you can get timely appointments and are never waiting too long in the waiting area- Great staff — they always explain everything to you and take your concerns seriously. They do a thorough job and looking at your pets.- Reasonable prices — I’m never shocked by the prices and they go over everything with you.

I really like willow glen pet hospital . They are super friendly and are great to work with . I take my dog Rosie there and the vet is always super kind to her and always try’s to help without pushing to buy anything unnecessary. So far they are the best vet in the San Jose area I have found.

I've only been for routine stuff, but it's been great. The prices are reasonable, the vet I spoke with seemed knowledgeable and thoughtful, and the techs and staff are all kind and responsive.I did have a slight concern about a lump after a rabies shot, and they were able to see me the same day. I told by a tech it was a common issue that should go away soon, which I appreciated. To my surprise, the vet actually called me to follow up the next day to ensure I didn't have any follow up questions or concerns, which was unexpectedly great.The place is small but efficient, clean, and there's plenty of parking most of the time. I would definitely come back for anything routine.

I moved to California 6 months ago from Kentucky and came to Willow Glen Pet hospital because my dog was up for some vaccines. I was nervous because my dog is very anxious and has been aggressive with vets in the past but the vet tech and vet doctor were very patient with her and my dog seemed a lot less nervous than last time we were at the vet! I let Doctor Bock know I was interested in the buy 1 get 1 vaccine special and she went through all of the vaccine options with me and let me know which ones she thought my dog would absolutely need vs which were optional. Since I came from an area with higher rate of heart worm, she told me she’d recommend the test and followed up with the results. It was a positive first experience and I will be returning. Total bill came out to ~ $200 with the check up, vaccines, bordatella, and heart worm test.

took one of my three new kitties to see them. We haven't had a regular vet for a while mainly because we haven't needed one, probably recently had adopted 3 animals in need and that created a need for one and I think we found one. I really liked the assistants their location is kind of funky place to find the first time but after that it's not difficult. Did that seem very comfortable and knowledgeable I'll be a very quiet but that's okay because the majority of the support work is done with his assistants and they're awesome. All in all I plan on staying with them for all four of our animals down and highly recommend them so give him a try let us know if this review helps you please like it that way I get the support of Google to continue reviewing.

The staff here truly care about your animals. I feel safe about bringing my older cats here for their routine care. We had a teeth cleaning here 2 years ago as well, and the dental specialist at Animal Dental Clinic who did the major extractions on her complimented us on how clean her teeth were, which was all credit to Willow Glen Pet Hospital.

I love bringing my dog here! The staff is so loving and caring they really make you feel like family! My puppy can sometimes be a handful but they always treat her with so much TLC. I would never take my pup anywhere else! The location is always clean and as I previously mentioned the staff is wonderful! I always refer new and existing pet owners here and I would NEVER take my pup anywhere else.

I have been going to this clinic for a year after having moved into the area. I take both my cat and dog to the clinic. The vet service is fine but the customer service is terribly lacking. I needed forms filled out for my animal to travel by plane and it was fairly urgent. The regular vet was out of the office and they had no appointments for the week with the relief vet. They made no attempt to make accommodations to help me with my situation. It was not so much that they did not have an appointment, that I can understand, but no attempt was made to see that I got these forms filled out in a timely manner. I will not be going back.

I came here after my cat got sick and the assistants were very helpful and respectful. They put my mind at ease while taking care of my cat. The Doctor here was very meticulous, he went through the procedures with me in details and after a few visits, my cat got better. I don't think I could find another clinic this good, so I will definitely come back. Thank you Dr. Gillon and staff for the wonderful service.
