This is a very clean Safeway with some local options for the bay area which I enjoyed. The pricing is reasonable if you are a Member. If you plan on shopping here definitely become a member as it's free.

Unfortunately the store lies I would never go back to the store again they accuse me of some thing and their employees don’t have a clue specially the one with the tattoos on her neck I would never go back there and I told all my friends and relatives and they will never go back to that store again ! They like Safeway and they will go to the one down the street they lie I will give a half a star 0 stars If it would take it I don’t recommend the store at all

I am blown away by how nice everyone was! Everyone went out of their way to greet the customers and proactively came up to me to ask if I needed help when they noticed me wandering around the produce section. The butchers were also really nice and courteous. I was so amazed (and confused even) by how nice and cheery people were here. I spent twenty minutes in the store and had three employees ask if I needed help and three employees say hello to me. I did a double take for a second but it was really nice to see people so helpful and happy.The store itself is clean and big, plenty of parking in front of the store. No long waits for the registers.I’ll be back!

The place is newly renovated. It's clean, spacious, and well-organized. I like their new refrigerators because they're more ergonomic and slim looking. They have plenty of produce and products to choose from. They don't have a pharmacy anymore like they used to but it's okay since there's a pharmacy just outside withing the park plaza. One thing I observed is off are the goods at the shelves placed after the cashier and self-checkout lines. If you want to get them, you have to grab them from the front and go back in line. Also, there's only one entrance. Other than this, the store looks exceptional.

We went to the grand reopening. We were greeted at the door with free face masks. They really went all out to welcome the shoppers. Complimentary samples all over the place and literally overstaffed to take care of everyone. It is very nicely and neatly organized with plenty of aisle space. And the cute lane names give a really nice touch! They have maintained their clean aisles and good customer service

This is a nice and clean new store. I haven't been able to go out to get groceries this week so decided to try the Safeway delivery from this store today. The app was easy enough to use and I put together my order, entered payment and selected a delivery window that was a 2-hour window about 4 hours later. The delivery window was around supper time, but I figured that would work out since it was my food that I was expecting to have delivered. I got an email confirmation and made sure to stay home during the delivery window. The scheduled delivery window came and went. I am now on the phone on hold with corporate customer service because apparently this store never processed my order. My credit card was charged $260 and I waited the full 2 hours, but within the 6 hours since I placed the order, not one notification from Safeway that they were having any issue. It took my calling the help line to find out that no one ever even put the order together. Now, I'm still without groceries and out $260 (for the time being). I'll never try that again.

Very clean, well stocked and organized. The employees are always kind and friendly. The bagger that helped us was so pro and efficient in how she bagged our items. I usually have to rearrange everything when I get to the car, but not with her! I wish I had her name to give her the recognition she deserves. Our cashier was Kenia, she was fast, efficient and friendly as well!The store is always pleasantly quiet in the morning, I can't speak for other parts of the day since this is the only time I go.

Deli area workers do not give a rats a$$ about personal safety or well being. You HAVE to ask the workers to wear gloves after handling boxes to serve you food. And if you ask, they proceed to eye and bad mouth you. Great service

I will never be shopping at this Safeway again. Putting aside the fact it is somehow more expensive to an Whole Foods, there doesn’t seem to be anyone checking the dates on the food. I just bought some bacon/sausages for breakfast and they were all bad. I’m talking use/freeze by 3 weeks ago bad. There is no reason that in 2023 food should be sitting on the shelf that went bad 3 weeks ago.

2.21.2021 like the store but the employees always stare at me all bad... I just noticed that all the other reviews about this store they say the employees are friendly. But not to me they follow me and my husband around like if we stole from them. I always make a purchase. I kinda feel targeted...3.23.2022 Who do I contact about the bathroom cleaning in this store.i just saw an employee just mop the floor without even cleaning the bathroom or putting sit covers or toilet paper. Im beyond grossed out i can't believe they can't even take the time to clean the toilet seat or the sink. But just to mop the floor.

It was a Safeway store originally. Another store was there for a couple of years. Then they remodeled it and the new Safeway is on the same location. The store is much improved. Full service supermarket that is constantly being restocked with goods. I was impressed with the new layout and the bigger produce section. It's more compact, but there is more product in the store.

I am not from California but was in town visiting my wife’s side of the family. I walked in looking for a few produces to take home. This was my first ever having an employee come up to me asking if I needed help. (Which I did) this gentleman was very helpful helping me get fresh produce for our meal for that evening. I would like to give props to Daniel for being helpful and going out of his way in helping me.

One place for all of your grocery needs. I find a little expensive compared to other grocery outlets. But yes everything is fresh for sure. You also get lots of bakery items like bagel and jalapeno bread. Undo sections are very distinctly marked and it's very easy to find whatever you are looking for.

I have been a customer at Safeway for so many years. I always do my grocery shopping at different Safeways I was at this location a couple of days ago at about 8:30 pm everything was good except when I asked a clerk if their Western Union was still open??? The Lady told me without looking me in the eye. I think they close about 8! I think???? Like she wasn't sure??? It gave me the impression that she knew the answer but didn't want to help me . It seems to me that they only do this transactions when they feel like it and when they don't want to they tell you it's closed.

I have to say this Safeway staff was so nice and helpful. The Safeway I'm used to going to is nice and I'm used to the set up but I was never asked if I needed help finding things and thats ok because I usually know where my items are but anyways I decided to stop into this Safeway and was stopped by two employees and asked how my day was and if I needed help finding anything. Then I was in line tocheck out waiting the the cashier to call me when all of a sudden the lady helping the self check out called me over and I told her its ok I have alcohol I probably need to wait for the other checker. But nope she took me and rang up all my stuff and bagged it herself. Anyways the whole shopping experience here was just very nice and I wanted to say thank you to Vivian who checked me out today.

Great, new store. Very nicely decorated, colorful. Staff very helpful. Only 4 stars cause they ran out of a sale item, Tea Java. Had to go to another store, dang. But overall I am very glad to see them back in the Winchester Plaza!

This is Safeway just recently opened. I have to say. It's great! It's nice and clean, the people are friendly, and I had no trouble finding any shopping assistance when I went in there. it's a little bit smaller than most of them. However, it's not a bad thing. I was still able to find everything I needed.

I love this new Safeway as it is right near my house! The staff is nice and friendly and this Safeway is usually not excessively crowded. The lack of star is only because the layout is weird and not intuitive to me, still have minor trouble finding things...should really be 4.5 stars.

This is the best safe way I've ever been to. I think it all starts with the store manager who very obviously has customer service as the number one priority. I think it trickles down from that and you can see the pride in the cleaning and care of this location.

This store has a horrible staff. They should fire the staff and bring new people who want to work. I've been here three times now where the staff just decides they're going to make the decision to close an hour early, 30 minutes early or 20 min early. While people stand outside of the store- employees stand there and tell us they're just closed. I asked if there were new hours. They said no. Okay? So if someone needs medication or anything of importance then we are unable? I understand there is a pandemic. However. We've already had ALOT taken away. We have pretty much no access to any store at all past 9. If you guys close at 11 then stay until you are scheduled. You don't have the option to make your own hours. Not ok.
