Great store! Well stocked. VERY Clean!! Wide variety of items that I was hoping to find and all of these reasonably priced!!!As a new pet caretaker looking for a "Go to" pet store, PETCO wins the day. And BTW, GREAT STAFF!!!!Also, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!! That spells FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY to me.

I had a horrible grooming experience with Laura M at the Blossom Hill location. Not only did my sweet cavapoo come back totally traumatized, but the next time I went to book a grooming appointment (at another Petco because I would never take my dog back to this location) I was informed that my dog could not be groomed at any Petco because Laura M had listed her as "aggressive." First of all, there is a huge difference between being reactive and aggressive. It is also completely ridiculous that she did this and did not even think that it was important to inform me. Unprofessional and horrible service. (FYI, I've taken my dog to other groomers before and after this incident and have specifically asked the groomer if there were any issues and my dog has been totally fine.) I'm just waiting to see if the manager at the location will give me a call back.Update: I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because the very next morning I received a call from Mike the manager who was great. He informed me that Laura M had been let go. He also took care of everything in their system, removing the "aggressive" label. Thank you, Mike!

There was a very friendly, patient, and caring employee, named Bill at the blossom hill location. He actually asked ME how he could help me as i walked around looking a little lost. I was looking for dog food. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to talk to me and to suggest a good choice for my dog and gave me reasons why. I left feeling very happy i had made the right choice and purchase. Bill also told me about the well membership or whatever its called (lol i forgot) but talked me into signing up when he told me all the awesome benefits and discounts including vet visits for my son, he explained it would pay for itself when it came to me since i buy dog food once a month a big $120 bag from Petco and my dog needs a vet for checkups. There was also a young man in the aquatics section that helped me find the right tank for our little beta fish as well as the heater and other things i needed. When i mentioned i had seen an item online cheaper, He took the time to look up my items on the Petco website to price match them all and make sure i got them at the best price possible This dropped my total to something allot more affordable and the way things are so expensive today; I really appreciated it! All in all, i had a great experience this day in the store and felt like i got knowledge about my pets and their care as well as everything i needed for them AND SOME for a great price! I will be returning to this location from now on and you should as well!

Today I took my dog to cut her nails at Petco de la Blossom Hill, and I was very disappointed, they gave me my dog without finishing the job because my dog was trying to bite them, a 14-year-old Chihuahua For years I have taken her to Petco de la Blossom Hill and she has never had any problems. The girls who helped me before were very kind to my dog, and even called her by name. but the girls who were working today were not willing to play with my dog. In fact, they were cutting a little dog's hair, the poor guy didn't even move and then the older woman was renegade and I don't know what she was saying to the poor little dog. It made me very sad. I think that if they aren't trained, they shouldn't be working on this. . That was today, Saturday, April 27th around 11am. And the lady told me that I should get my money back, because they don't want to cut my dogs nails. that was very offensive.😡

I usually go there to check out their freshwater fish selection. Good maintenance of the fish. They also test your tank water for free if you can bring a sample.

Friendly and helpful with the Kiosk for engraving. My cat is very good at removing his collar with his name and identification. I frequently need to purchase name tags, Petco staff very helpful and friendly with assisting me in this function and helping me with making purchasing decisions based on my boy's health needs.

I have a new puppy and so far I’ve had an amazing experience all 3 times I’ve gone into Petco on Blossom Hill and Los Gatos. They’ve been over the top helpful. Had a young man, dog trainer, as cashier at Blossom Hill, guide me to the gentle lead harness which has been a life changer. The Latino male cashier at Los Gatos location was such a love - he recommended all sorts of products for my puppy and i felt his sincerity and authenticity and love of animals. I’m considering the Petco vital care plan and because of these two fabulous young men i think I will commit to Petco over the other competition. Only problem is i will have to change my puppy’s pet food as they don’t carry her current favorite. Need a new recommendation for my 5 month old standard poodle pup with sensitive tummy. Nulo does not work for her. Maybe Science diet???? Thank you for any advice!

I’m a fish hobbyist. This store has one of the most selections of freshwater and saltwater fish at a reasonable price. The only downside is that there are times when several associates will stick around, and other times you can find nobody to help you. It’s worth visiting if you’re into aquarium hobby.

purchased a yellow parakeet from here. The lady who helped was incredibly nice and helpful. She listened to us talk about our sad experience with our previous parakeet's death and gave us tips for when parakeets get sick. The process for getting the newest addition to our family was fairly easy, whole thing done within 15 minutes. The only thing that I can think of worth mentioning is that you do need to be 18+or be accompanied by someone who is 18+ to purchase pets. Was not a problem for us. Would definitely come back here.Edit: went back to get the white cockatiel. Lovely bird with a great people loving personality.

I Got a few plecos from there, for my 150 gallon tank, very healthy and strong. The Employees were very knowledgeable about each fish and would help you out with what the right pet for is! Great selection from freshwater to saltwater!!!

Alex, in Aquatics made sure to notify me as soon as his order of aquarium plants arrived. The plants are healthy & beautiful. Alex is always extremely patient, kind and helpful, even when he's incredibly busy. He always engages with his customers and has a great attitude. I received excellent customer service in the San Jose store on Blossom Hill Rd from Angel. She was extremely helpful in recommending pet shampoo for my kitten Theo. I recently adopted Theo and found out I’m very allergic to him. Rather than giving him away, I’m going to bathe him weekly to reduce the dander as recommended by the Humane Society. I selected 3 bottles of gentle pet shampoo thanks to the thoughtful help of Angel at the San Jose store.

I love this particular Petco. The items I need are always stocked and the customer service is awesome. I'm very happy with the feeder fish here. live in Santa Clara and make the drive out here because I leave satisfied with my purchases and the manner in which I was treated.

In general, this store has a good variety of things you need, so long as you’re not price-sensitive. Items are usually more expensive here compared to PetSmart or Amazon.♿️ -accessible parking is limited and in general, shopping center complex traffic is heavy so it can be tough to find decent parking.

Great service! Easily booked online, received confirmations and a follow up due to the breed. Easy drop off and quick 7 point check to ensure my dog was okay to be groomed. Was told it would take a couple of hours and I would be contacted when my dog was ready. And around two hours later, my dog was ready. My dog looked and smelled great and she was friendly with the staff. So it was a great experience for both me and the dog.

So I went in today to buy some fish food for one of my tanks. But when I got there I saw two of the cutest orandas and decided to buy them. Little did I know that almost NO ONE in the store was knowledgeable about the fish department and the manager on duty did not bother to help me give my poor orandas a home. The tank that housed these cute 2 inch orandas had a few price tags... one said JUMBO ORANDA 39.99... and the other said assorted 2.5 inches for 7.99. This kid tried charging me 40 bucks for a 2 inch ORANDA!!!! The kid was new and when he asked the manager for help he didn't even look just said yea whatever it said. Thankfully the kid managed to get a more experienced employee after I was about to leave and she helped me as always. PETCO PLEASE TRAIN THE PEOPLE YOU LEAVE IN CHARGE. THESE ANILMALS LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!!

Went in to buy feeders for my tarantula and my ball python. The person working in reptiles and exotics was giving out very bad and wrong advice to their customers asking how to care for the reptiles. He didn't even know what any of the animals were or called and he said it WAS his department. He didn't know what they eat, what temperatures they require, etc. Their animal enclosures were not at the right temperatures. One of their snakes clearly has an eyecap on from a recently bad shed due to low humidity(if untreated. The snake could go blind!) I am honestly worried for the animals there. If conditions don't improve by my next weekly trip, I will be reporting this.They must have lost their team. None of the regular associates were there and their pictures on the employee wall were down. They had a perfect team that cared... This new team does not care. The cashier was not friendly, rude, and clearly in a rush to get back to her cellphone. She even turned out credit card reader her way as soon as it asked if we want to donate. She clicked no. I was honestly appalled. I would have donated!!

Went in to purchase a feeder mouse, usually I get a frozen mouse. But went to look at the live mice to see if it was small enough for my snake. Apon asking the employee for a small mouse I noticed that he was being very rough with them to the point the mice were bleeding. I quickly changed my mind and left the store immediately considering my young sibling was with me. I won't be back to here.

We take our 15 month dog every 6 weeks to be groomed. He loves it. The service people are great, friendly and knowledgeable. He has been going since he was 6 months old. Definitely would recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very rarely have I come into a Petco and not had enthusiastic employees. Always happy to see my guide dog. Make me feel welcome. We came for the grooming this time and the service was amazing My puppy was very happy and is very well groomed. Would recommend will definitely come back again.
