I booked an appt. for an oil change and tire rotation online for 6:30pm. I thought it was a bit strange because the place closes at 7pm but booked it anyway. The service manager tried to call me to reschedule an earlier time but it was a busy day at work and I ignored my incoming calls. I showed up at 6:30pm and the service manager explained that he was trying to get a hold of me because there wasn't enough time to get my service done. Instead of rescheduling and turning me away, he said they would do the service but to reschedule an earlier appointment next time. They got it done after closing hours and I was grateful because my oil change was overdue and I was leaving on a long road trip the following morning. BTW this is the second time this facility went above and beyond to help me and I will definitely be coming back when it comes time for my next service. For the corporate office... I would suggest removing the option to book those late appointments online so it doesn't put any undue strain on your local staff.

I made an appointment for an oil change. After waiting for an hour, I asked how much longer it would take (an oil change does not take this long). I was told there were other cars ahead of me and they were just starting on my car.I kindly reminded them I had an appointment, and my car should have been started on at the time of my appointment. They responded with "just because you have an appointment doesn't mean that's when we're going to work on your car."That's not how appointments work. Never returning here. This business does not respect their customers' time. 0 stars if I could.

I highly recommend this location for car service and tire replacements. The staff here especially Alfredo are always extremely responsive and helpful. Went in for a service yesterday, took less than 5 minutes to drop off my car and 5 minutes to pick it up. Thanks!

Paid $60 for 21” tires to be rotated. (Note the steep price increase of $35–>$60 if you have tires that are 20” or larger). After I almost left, I decided to check and realized that they had not rotated them as it was obvious because the tires were off by 2/32”.Something that should take 15m to do, has now been 3 hours and I’m waiting for them to redo the tire rotation now.How do you forget to rotate tires when all your doing is a tire rotation.I will never come back here for service again. Highly do not recommend

Making an appointment was easy to do online. I received reminders for my appointment a few days and day of. The Service Center was very friendly and processed my paperwork quickly, they quoted me 2-hours for a tire alignment, but ended up taking 40 minutes. It was a completely painless process and always have a good experience at the Steven's Creek location.

I’ve been going to this Pep Boys Location for over five years usually to just get an oil change. I usually see Alfredo or Tony, who are the best in customer service. They are always very helpful. They answer all my questions, and they always help me with the best price, and advice for my car.Recently, I had a lot of repair done on my car a new windshield, new tires , axle fixed, I checked and compared price and Pep Boys was the best in comparison. I’ve moved three times since being in San Jose, and I always come to this location because I feel most comfortable with the professionalism and care they take with my car.Alfredo and Tony are friendly and always are patient and kind .Thank you Alfredo and Tony you and your team atPep Boys are the BEST!!

My car had some crunching sounds in the front anytime I braked, and my dealership service shop found the issue to be a single nut missing from my front struts, causing the bolt to be loose. They were going to charge me nearly $700 (mostly labour), since apparently it wasn't covered by warranty.Bought the parts online, took it to Pepboy, and Service Manager Carlos hooked me up. Took them less than half a workday to fix it for less than $250 (bolt replacement + alignment, and checking the other remaining tires). Friendly, and to the point.Good stuff.

After a disgusting experience with Costco Tire Shop, I needed an alignment which I got here. Tony was awesome! A breath of fresh air after a horrific experience getting new tires at Costco. He gave me all my options, made me laugh and my car was ready within the hour. A very nice staff! Will definitely return for any other needs.

Extremely disappointed with the service received after purchasing two tires and an alignment. Less than 24 hours later, the alignment is off, causing my car to pull to the right and the steering wheel to be misaligned. Additionally, the customer service representative I spoke to on the phone was rude and dismissive. When I asked to return to fix the mistake, I was questioned if they caused it and given no guarantee they could address it promptly. Why work on new vehicles if you can't get it right the first time? Would not recommend due to poor quality of work and disrespectful service.

Went for back tire replacement, cost nearly $$$1000. Took seven hour wait for them to work on it the last ten mins of the seven hour wait 🤮🤮🤮🤮 the short woman receptionist was very mean and crazy, bad customer service! Made us feel very uncomfortable! BYE 👏👏👏👏

I got the Die Hard Battery I wanted and installed in 2 hours where my mechanic asked me to leave the car overnight. Big improvement from 5 years ago when I dealt with Pep Boys.

I needed an oil change and to get the trunk/back door of my Ford Escape fixed. Since I was waiting in person, they moved up my completion from 12PM to 9:30AM. The car perfectly fixed at a very reasonable rate in an hour and a half. I could not have had a better experience.

One of their workers made off with my tire pressure monitors system for all 4 brand new tires and wheels I bought online trusting and paying them to install for me. The liar claiming that he sent it back to the manufacturer never received anything from pep boys. I called the online tire store and checked with UPS, they never received said supposedly brand new tpms that later on I had to pay for again. They never made it right. Said the guy quit awhile back and can't do anything. Liars cheats and thieves.

I was bought a battery around 2 years with 4 years warranty and customer Representative person denied to apply any coupon to my bill so I ended up charging $178 just for the battery installation labor!! She was so rude and please stay away from here!!!!!

Pep boys messed up my Acura MDX. I went to them in Feb'23 for break work. They changed the breakpad with a 24Months/24K miles warranty. I went again to them in July'23 and told them that I was hearing sweaky noise while pressing a break. They did the inspection and sent me home saying that they did not find any issues. I took my car to another service center yesterday and I was informed that there was no breakpad installed on the driver's rear wheel. Which caused the rotor damage as well. This body shop also advised me to take the car back to Pep boys as my warranty should still be applicable. I went to Pep Boys and they gave me a work order for $1100. It is purely a penalty that I have to bear single-handedly for their ruined job. Total disappointment in a banner like Pep Boys.

I made a 9:30 am appointment, but the work didn't start for three hours later. What's the point of an appointment? I had visited this location before with a really great experience, but something has gone off the rails since then. Then, they neglected to check air pressure in my tires and sent me out with one significantly low tire. Had that attended to elsewhere.

This shop just cost me $1K in damages. I came in to fix a flat tire. They "fixed" it. 3 weeks later I have air leak at the same tire. I went to a different shop, who checked it and confirmed it's a leak from their patch.While these things can happen, they are unusual and usually a _competent_ shop will tell you in advance if the hole is big and might have issues. They told me nothing.Because of their poor job, I now need to replace all 4 tires (AWD). Needless to say when I called in they didn't take any responsibility.I would never set foot in a Pep Boys shop again.
