i normally come here every 2 months to buy frozen shrimp and the tall asian middle-aged guy that was working in the deli meat department was astonishingly rude. he needs an attitude check, but i guess when you are working minimum wage you are going to be angry at everything in life. that does not mean you take it out on other people.

I come here because it is the most conveniently located supermarket in the area. They usually have great produce and have all the essentials. I have noticed however that it is quite a bit more expensive than Safeway. It was recently remodeled and it looks nice.

Came here for the first time, self check you have to ask for bags, good thing the cashier came with an attitude. I don’t recommend this location go somewhere else. Especially if you have to get a few items and there is no single tote basket, must carry what you have around the store and hope your not followed thinking you will steal from the store. Very bad experience!

I live around the corner from this Lucky's location, and my family and I have always had bad experiences here. In the past it was expired food and poor customer relations. The Safeway down the road is worth the extra few minutes drive.However, today, I worked a double and wanted to just grab my groceries, avoid interaction, and get home. I went to the self check out line (by mistake at first, as the lay out is very different). In the store shopping was myself and a handful of other customers. Nearly every self check out was empty, so I secluded myself to one in the corner as I generally do at Safeway. As I'm about to ring up my things, this teenaged boy ( with the popcorn hairsyle) yelled to me, "hey, you can't pay there, you have too many items!" At first, I thought he was joking with mr, but he takes his job as self check out monitor very seriously. If he had just approached me and quietly said, "hey, ma'am, would you mind to pay at the checkout stand instead?" I would have said, "sure, no problem ". But his tone and attempt at authority over me wasn't necessary. The other customers turned around and looked and I told him, "you know what, I can just shop somewhere else". As I walked away, he yelled at me, "thanks a lot, WOMAN." In a negative connotation as if it was supposed to be an insult. It was embarrassing. I did end up paying for my thi gs because i felt bad leaving my cart for others to have to return. However, this is my last visit to buy items at this location. Rare to encounter sexist remarks around here, and if that it someone's child, i hope he learns to handle customer relations better with some time and maturity.

Stop by to get a salad For lunch today, once I arrive back at work I open my salad and I could see mold on the corn and cheese. Unbelievable, never again will I be purchasing from this store

5 pm on a Friday 1 slow cashier available for check out. A line of10 waiting to be checked out all with alcohol so self check not an option.

Honestly, if I could give this Lucky California location zero stars I would. The self check out is a disaster. Deli is horrid. My mom and I would constantly be returning expired products to the store from the deli. Plus the meat department has an awful smell to it. The meat and seafood in the meat department are absolute low quality. The milk we would purchase would often have to be returned because of spoilage. The produce is often rotten and isn't rotated enough. They definitely don't know how to work the threes a crowd deal they promote. Most of all the management only cares about themselves and the OVERALL BOTTOM LINE. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL WHATSOEVER!

*** Update 1/2024... Prices are MUCH higher, as might be expected, but now those prices, along with Lucky's confusing "coupons"/electronic discounts rival their competitor Sa****ay. I'll be going here much less... Good quality, nice sales prices and no extra work to get the best price (as opposed to another major grocery store chain).

Not my favorite Supermarket. Just seems a bit expensive compared to the rest (except for the Very High End Stores). I will say that their Deli does have these fantastic Baked Beans with Brisket though!!!!!!!!

Lucky, yes, that's how I feel when I visit this store. Every item is well displayed and stored. Crew member are prompt to jump in and help. Besides, my go to department are fruits/veggies as well as meat. Freshness and good price make these segment a must stop for me. What about for you, is there any other department which makes you go cuckoo?

Overall a fine store with great prices. But the selection of Organic food seemed limited. I did find some Organic food, but wish they had more packaged & prepared food throughout the store that was Organic. I also noticed the layout of the store was unusual. The personal & medical products were all on the far end of the store. Usually these items in a grocery store are in the center of the store, and the Far Ends are reserved for Produce & Meat. In fact I don't even recall seeing a Produce section. I'm sure they have one, I just didn't come across it - which is strange. I did not feel healthy shopping at this store. While I was shopping, I found myself thinking, "Come on, Lucky! Get with the times" 😐

Me and my wife went shopping at the store today. The managers are so lazy in the store They look like they are unwilling to jump in the check stand and help out their fellow checkers. One manager was standing with a timer in her hand and watching them stress out. The management here forces customers to wait in line and stress out customers. Ever since the owner's daughter Took over this company it's been going downhill. Employees here never smile never look happy And/or never Friendly It's the same way at every lucky store you go to The company forces employees to give bad customer service at all their stores and force customers to wait in long lines on purpose. Because they don't want to waste more money on extra help to make customers happy.

I didn't think I had my credit card and spent all of what little cash I had on me. When I realized I had my card in me (before I stepped away from the REGESTER with nobody else in line) I was told that I couldn't re-rout my payment to my card... It really would not have been very difficult to do...

I've never had a bad visit to lucky. One time, I picked up a package of meat that was on manager special and upon getting to the register I realized it smelled bad. They took the bad chicken away and brought me a good package and still honored the manager special price. I didn't even ask them to do it, they just offered to, I think that shows the dedication of the store staff and management to customer experience.Another time, someone from the deli saw me selecting a rotisserie chicken from the heater and came out to let me know that if I waited 10 minutes he'd bring me one fresh out of the rotisserie.Honestly you can tell that the people who work here have good management. They're always nice.But, never use that coffee machine near the front. It's always broken!

This is one of the smaller Lucky's in the area. They are typically out of stock of a number of things and the selection is not as good as some of the other stores in the area. We usually go to this one just because it's the closest, but I would probably recommend a different store if it's not inconvenient.

I’m quickly learning why Lucky’s closed stores. It was 7:20 when I went to the deli at the Camden location. I was told they weren’t serving customers. I asked when they closed. Was told 9. But they had been there all day and weren’t waiting on anyone anymore. Yesterday I went to the Saratoga location for chicken salad. One section looked brown and old. I asked to please pull from the other side that looked fresh. First scoop good. Another customer said that section looked bad. As I was talking to her the associate pulled a big scoop from that bad section when they thought I wasn’t looking. Two trips to two Lucky’s on two nights. Still no chicken salad. How is this acceptable?

Nice store, ample parking, organized aisles. I don't understand why there were so few people here on a Sunday afternoon. Significantly less crowded than the Lucky near my house. Maybe I'll start driving the extra 5 miles to have a better shopping experience.

Parking can be a pain at peak hours, but they are open until a reasonable hour, so if you can shop late then do it. All their items are usually stocked and their staff is reasonably friendly. Only minor complaint is sometimes they're pretty slow to bring another cashier to the front to help customers check out, but overall this place is great.

Although this Luckys store is 11 miles from my home, I do most of my shopping here. This store has more of the items that I buy, and is laid out so that it's easier to find things. Everyone who works here is unfailingly helpful, and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommend!

If you like being stalked...I haven't been here in forever and now I remember why. Its just weird here and the place feels... desperate?This visit was as bad as it gets though. This creep followed me around the store while I shopped and when I asked staff if he was supposed to be undercover security or if I had a stalker they just asked questions back and wouldn't tell me if he was an employee. So obviously my hunch was right, but they should have just been honest with me. Way to make your shoppers feel welcome!!? I'm never going back and honestly, screwww Lucky, will you just die for good this time!?PS- This place is awkwardly arranged. Good Lucky finding _______.

It's ok. Clean, organized, has some of everything. Good tea/drinks selection. Did not have "baby lettuce" greens I was looking for, but had a baby mixed greens pack instead (I'll pick out the spinach).

Come here for food at decent prices for the area but not for your more obscure or gourmet ingredients. Produce is usually good and not overly expensive although it certainly is not the cheapest produce.This grocery store has a reasonably good selection of standard groceries and frozen items and a fairly wide selection of alcohol.They are more limited in the area of random self-care items like hair brushes or miscellaneous household items like drain stoppers or repair kits that many large grocery stores often stock.I also like the fact that unlike most chains these days, Lucky gives you the sale price without a loyalty card.

I come to this Lucky often. A couple days ago one employee spoiled the experience. I normally do self checkout as it's quicker. This time I'm getting some beer and other things and have no choice but stand inline to check out with a cashier. I jokingly say to this cashier guy (white, middle age, slightly bald) that I wish there's an express checkout for liquor purchases because we can't use self check out. He quickly replies: that's why we have liquor stores. I say well I'm here to buy other things (he should be glad) beside beer. If just beer, I would have gone to the liquor store. He replies: can't do that because minors will be buying liquor illegally.Not only this guy does not give a rat tail about his customer's frustration, he's too busy being smart a ss and misses my point. He doesn't deserve his job there to help his customers.
